My only reason for not buying this is the for the reason that Meta doesn’t include a 45W brick in the box. For $129 that’s just absurd and 45W bricks aren’t cheap. I get you can use the 18W brick that comes with the headset, but the speeds that’ll charge at wouldn’t be good.
That’s fair enough. I hate the recent wave of companies not including charging bricks. I actually use this dock with my Quest Pro brick for faster charging but not everyone has that.
That's life man 😁 I mostly make longer vids here on RU-vid and rarely do shorts, so I wasn't expecting much tbh :) but thank you for watching and commenting, appreciate it!
@@Subject87guess it’s because the video doesn’t have much substance? No pros and cons, just “is it worth it - unbox - yeah I guess cos there’s no alternatives”.
Are we SURE!? That we can leave it on the dock all the time even when its fully charged!? The Meta "Experts" on the forum said to not leave it on the dock for "long periods of time" whatever that means.
Have not seen the forum posts you’re mentioning but it would defeat the purpose of having a dock, right? All modern devices have power cutoff features when they reach full charge, and while the Quest 3 hasn’t been out for long, I’ve had it since day 1 and it’s been on the dock starting a week or so later and no issues yet.
@@VRManCave Hello, awesome video + loved the editing. Anyways, I'd say this is safe to assume but just to make sure, are you still using the charging dock to this day ? Does the price still seem worth it even after 3rd party docks ?
It only works with the Meta grips since others block the wireless charging. In terms of facial interfaces yes, it seems to work with most if not all since the charging pins are on the headset itself.
Thanks man, appreciate it! I generally mostly do long form videos but I recently started experimenting with shorts, so the feedback is awesome, thanks!
@@VRManCave no problem man you made me have so much more fun with vr cause if I didn’t saw your videos I wouldn’t play my favorite games right now thank you for that man
I have a question for you, if I leave them charging for a long time, that is, when they reach 100 charge and I leave them charging for a long time after they reach 100, can the battery be ruined???
@@VRManCave Oh dude NICE! I'd imagine that with a nice (cheap) Kiwi strap would make it perfect. Although the stock one is perfect for chilling and laying on the couch
BRO I WANT A VR SO BAD BUT ITS SO GOD DAM EXPENSIVE IN MY COUNTRY. IDC IF ITS THE BAD VR I JUST WANT ONE. I BE DREAMING ABOUT A VR 3 NIGHTS IN A ROW 💀💀
The video took off and RU-vid generally has a hard time updating metrics in the first 2 days since posting any video since they are still processing the data :)
Well, if you want the most premium feeling dock, yes. When I made this video it was the only one on the market, but now you do have lots of third party options as well, so it just depends on your budget and needs.
I did answer 😄 It’s a very good quality product, and if you don’t want to wait for 3rd party options and can afford the price, then you won’t regret getting it, but I’d say wait for a bit longer if you can as I’m sure cheaper options will come out at some point.
The place were the quest 3 will spend most of his time becose you need 2 charge 80 of % of the 100% of the time you can use it becose of the battery drainage 😂
Mine gets around the advertised 2 hours of play time, and now 3-4 hours with the Bobo M3 strap, which has hot swappable batteries, so it’s not too bad 😄
