Well Your World is the most common sense, easy to understand WFPB RU-vid channel and the recipes are yummy! I especially appreciate your summary of the “healthy diets” that are difficult to follow. I was Nutritarian for 3 yrs but it was tough for my family. I tried to eat Dr Greger’s Daily Dozen and felt like I was eating all day to get it all in, next to impossible. Loved today’s share! Thanks Dillon🥰

Thank you, Dillon. I went PBWF about 8 months ago. This way of eating changed my life at 72 yrs old. I am so grateful to have found it and implemented it. I wish I had heard your short plantrant when I started because I was overwhelmed with TMI. I got stressed out!!! I happen to be tenacious, so I kept going. Your channel really helped me. A couple of people have asked me how to get started. I offer your channel and cookbooks and the Dr. MacDougalls book, The Starch Solution, for knowledge to help ones learn the reasons why and how. I advise them to just stick there or else they will become overwhelmed as I did. I am saving this rant to send to the next person who asks me. Thanks again.

I’m currently having lentil soup, a banana, & an apple for lunch. Very simple, but I enjoy it. I also have 2 more bananas & a non dairy yogurt for later if I get hungry again. It’s definitely easy to fall into the perfection traps & you make it easy to understand that you don’t have to be perfect at every single meal. LOVE these plant rants 💕💕

Japanese sweet potatoes are my favorite. I eat them plain everyday; oven roasted and cold from the refrigerator. I think they are better cold. They are like dessert. They have red skin and a whitish interior. Delicious! What people new to this way of eating need to understand is FILL UP ON STARCHES! Make 50% to 90% of your plate starches. It's easy. The next big aha = you can eat the same thing everyday or all week. Keep it super simple. Fill up on potatoes, sweet potatoes, rice, corn and oats. Batch cook these and have them all week. You can live on these alone for weeks while you figure out the rest. I know ideally you want to eat 30 different plants per week for your microbiome (gut bacteria) to eat. You'll get there. My oatmeal has 5 - Oatmeal, walnuts, fruit (apple or banana or raisins or cranberries), alternative mylk, flaxseed. (cinnamon too!) ) Make a few "template" recipes (like Jeff Novick) = a bag of frozen veggies, a jar of sauce, maybe some beans, add some herbs and spices. Spoon it over a starch. Done. You can even buy frozen or shelf stable rice these days. Red lentil pasta and a jar of sauce is easy and yummy. See Dr. McDougall’s website and read his “Starch Solution” book and youtubes. Join an online group for encouragement and camaraderie like Dillon and Reebs. They make it fun and easy.

I batch cook and then freeze a bunch of it. Various lentils, curries, dal, etc. are easy to cook and freeze. Then thaw out a meal portion and make some rice. Also, stews and soups are a BIG one. Make a big pot, serve with whole grain bread and freeze the rest. After a couple weeks, you can have a dozen DIFFERENT frozen meals. Different meals each day without continual repetition.

Looking back, I'm amazed I that stuck it out following Dr Fuhrman's diet for the first 3 years of eating WFPB. How refreshing to discover your channel. I realized I don't have to wear myself out cooking & worrying about eating Dr Fuhrman's GBOMBS everyday. Most days I naturally get in my GBOMBS, but I don't dwell on it anymore. This May, it will be 6 years since I went WFPB. My health hasn't suffered at all since I switched to your advice. Every year my blood work is excellent.

I find Dr Greger, Dr Fuhrman & Dr Will Bulcewick (the gut doctor, I probably mispelt his name) way too prescriptive, I appreciate their advice but what they also forget is that as a petite older woman, I can only have about 1,500 cals so I definitely can't have all those beans and wholegrains, I'd love to but I have to limit myself to (sweet) potatoes, fruit, veggies, squashes, mushrooms, and other lower calorie options

I wish I had found you when I started it. I am seeing a doctor for this lifestyle but just gave me some websites or movies to watch. I have struggled over the soon-to-be year on this journey. I found your website and I really only eat the same meals over and over. I am going to do a stewish with my veggies and taters...along with either tofu or jackfruit...I like the idea of just eating one meal a day...out of the pot. My husband makes his meals as he is a carnivore and as I am plant-based, I do mine.

I had a chest freezer full of meat and a pantry full of franken-food when I first went PB. Many of those things I felt protective over because of how difficult some of those items were to obtain due to the pandemic. I felt the pain of letting it all go but once I had an empty fridge, freezer, pantry and started with a clean slate, the inspiration really kicked in. Soon it was all restocked with fresh and frozen fruits and vegetables, varieties of dry beans, rices, pastas in visually pleasing glass canisters and the possibilities are endless. Step one was to create the environment to match my goals and the rest took care of itself. 50 yrs old and I look and feel better now than I did in my 20's, 30's, 40's.

I just got my 120 pounds of dry starches - 12 types of legumes and 10 different whole grains. With my 30 or so herbs and spices, there's endless variety! There's literally not enough time in the age of the universe to make all the possible combinations. In fact, every time I make a meal, if I grab a random assortment of legume, grain, herbs and spices, I know for sure that I'm the only person who has ever had that particular dish.

First off plant rant, great title. Unfortunately I do not think the people that need to be watching this are. Our whole healthcare system is so messed up with doctors make more money by prescribing drugs as opposed to suggesting to people a healthy lifestyle. For myself though I do appreciate all your videos. Exactly what you are saying about recipe fomo is so true. yes l finally understand this after 4 years of eating this way. l now eat basically the same for breakfast and lunch each day and dinner is something different. l try to prep starches so they are ready to eat . only a bit difficult when l have family over l have to buy a chicken for them and have my dishes on the table so they get their meat. it works. me health has recovered . if only we were taught this way of eating at a young age. health magazines and so called experts are wrong in what they say to eat. l only found mc dougall because l had hashimoto disease so l just started following his advice it works .

It's good stuff. My gramps always eats a pot of oatmeal with fruit every morning. Whole fruits for any snacks, dinner is something like potato, peas and other veg, and for them often a piece of chicken or something but you could always do legumes instead. Still healthy at 74, 145lb, 5'9" still active and more physically capable than like half the 30 something's these days. 90% simple healthy food goes a loooong way.
