Yes, the last few days have been noticeably glitchy and un-normal,...but I would argue that it's been glitchy almost every day for the last year. But, I like when I have a bad day, because it usually means I will have a great day soon. They can punish me all they want while I cross-list to other sites. Pick your poison eBay.

This is how it is now.. either morning sales or afternoon but not all day! If you have two stores they share traffic!! I purposely sabotaged my small stores so the algorithm will feed my big store.. it works for me! I get an odd sale from my small store but I’ll start to move stuff to my big store slowly! Not sure if uk has had shipping changes like we gave in US where the calculated shipping price savings have now gone to the buyer for cheaper shipping! Before I’d get $2 or so more to offset fees but not now! I had to go through my shipping to increase weight as I always calculated less.. that’s the big change here! But definitely stores share traffic..

I'm having issues where there is a sales drought for days, then in the span of 15 minutes, I get multiple sales....all in one day. Then the sales dry up for days again.

On the app the change I see using my iPhone is under the selling tab they moved the messages from the list to an icon on the top of the page.

My slowest period this year was the first half of May, but things have begun to improve. I believe you should just wait and not dwell on it too much. You are already employing good strategies overall.

My ebay sales were really low last month but right now they are great. I'm in the US and last month they were also slow across my other platforms so I don't necessarily attribute that to ebay. I'm primarily a clothing reseller but I started sourcing some other categories recently and those have been selling so fast! It's made me start to think maybe it is my items? Here in the US, I feel like we are in a huge race to the bottom with clothing. I saw a video from Dealing with Dalton about doing category markdown sales and I decided to try it out on my store. And it is definitely helping to move my clothing (and had the effect where selling one item triggered the sales of similar items in my store) but I had to cut prices lower than I wanted to. So I'm just starting to think selling clothing on ebay is like a race to nowhere. I'll still source some of it but I'm definitely going to be cherry picking items and not buying in bulk too much. Most people in the US who sell clothing are on multiple platforms anyway!

Hi Pete, do you watch The channel on RU-vid marriedtoreselling? They put up a video today about a change in eBay terms and conditions for a new shipping thing… sorry don’t know the right word… a new scheme or something all about shipping. Watch their latest video to see if you can figure it out!

it was funny I used to see all the error screens a couple months ago and they seem to be gone for now (I am in canada) but my sales were great in April and seemed to hit a wall in may Then I tried a couple of your suggstions I was not doing (had a sale and stopped declining offers - countering the bad offers instead) sales picked up a bit then completely dropped of a cliff again Its the same as the reset - every time I try to work around how the algorithm appears to work I get short term response but then the lows get even lower - like i am being put back in ebay jail But if you do nothing sales die off as your listings get stale - not sure what to do anymore

Major drop here in the USA... I wonder if they are transitioning to AI ?? With all these technology companies like Meta and Google changing things over.... I wonder if they are playing games with AI

So sorry for this maybe it spikes before school holidays and then the algorithm goes back to snail mode . Hopefully people will buy for the upcoming summer holidays. from you soon

Hi Pete, did you notice the app looks different? On my iPhone I have the eBay app and they have changed the my eBay page. I can’t explain what has changed, the Info is the same but it looks different … could this be part of the problem?

How can you tell your shop is down ? Do you get an error message when listing ? We have also had a quiet weekend. Good until Saturday lunch time then very little activity. No views on new listings that I would expect multiple views. It is very frustrating.

I have the same feeling that items don’t get indexed if you list them when there is issues…. I feel I have to do end / sell similarly every 48h…. but it doesn’t seem to work as good as it was a few months ago…. Also, when you end sell similar what do you do with your promoted Pete ? Do you end promoted on these items and put them back in your campaign ? Or you just do end / sell similar without doing anything with the promoted on these items ?

Do you think ebay giving private seller free listing is increasing the volume so your listing are less visible
