Definitely how I seen these verses join together early on when I first read the bible for myself. Scary stuff and has terrified me off and on for years. Primarily because I have believed with certainty that I have committed this sin. For I have sinned willfully knowing what was right and wrong. I would consider myself to be unforgivable as I have no excuse. My only hope is what he says towards the end in that even after I'm sure of this is that I'm still drawn back to the bible and that I undoubtedly know that Jesus is the ONLY way and the truth. When I hear him say a person who is at all concerned about commiting the unpardonable sin has not done so gives my spirit such relief and joy that all things seem possible. Thinking again that God's forgiveness is greater than I realize while at the same time wanting to never sin again out of respect and a fear of not being able to love God and who he is. Anyone else ever feel this way?

I dont know if I've committed it. In 2022 or 2023, I walked away, thinking later I would come back to Christianity, because I wanted my sin more. But in January this year, I put my trust in Christ. So I don't know if I've committed the unpardonable sin or if im saved. It's like a roller coaster of the most extreme.

@@matthewburns1012 Hey Matthew. I know exactly what you mean! I thought I could go and sin and then simply return when I wanted to be forgiven. Such a fool. You see the verses talking about those who fall away and who sin wilfully. You see yourself in these and you agree with them. My hope is in what Craig said towards the end that anyone who is at all worried about this has not committed this sin and it lifts me up tremendously. I think there are verses to support what he says too. Jesus said that anyone who comes to him he will in no way cast out. In the sermon I'm guessing you watched you'll also see the topic of a divided Kingdom. I'm guessing your story is similar to mine in that I still always knew that Jesus was real and true even if I couldn't bring myself to look into his direction. I was still always convicted of this fact too. Where do you think this would come from? You must have been drawn back again right? Have you read the book of Jonah in the Bible? It isn't very long and I would encourage you to read it. Funny enough my parents always said my name suited me as I never listened until it was too late. Jesus himself said that NO ONE can come to him unless the father draws them. Let that sit and marinade for awhile.

Correct. It is falling away. This is why Paul, concerning his former blasphemies, said, "I received mercy because I acted ignorantly in unbelief". It is also why, when being crucified, Jesus said, "Father forgive them, FOR THEY KNOW NOT what they do". The Romans were acting ignorantly in unbelief. The book of Hebrews, on the other hand, speaks of those who crucify the Son of God in their hearts, and do so after having been "enlightened". Restoration is impossible. It's why the angels who fell could not be saved - they sinned in full light. It's scary to think about, but there are people who are believers - not elect, from the heart believers, but people who for whatever reason, believe in Jesus Christ for a season. And as believers, they are privileged in much the same way God's elect are privileged, just as Judas had the same privileged position as the other disciples. And then they reveal themselves as antichrists - sons of perdition. Remember, Judas conspired with the enemies of Christ. He handed Jesus Christ over. A modern day example would be a professing Christian who, because he loves the world, sides with those who hate Christ, and becomes hostile to the truth. But if what we heard from the beginning continues to abide in us, we will continue in Christ. All our sins are forgiven, as long as we do not commit the sin that is unto death. We must endure to the end.

Thank you Pastor for the accuracy of your teaching and your deep will to be in accordance with text dealing with the unpardonable sin. GOD bless you.

Consider this literal rendition. “But whoever blasphemes against the Spirit - the Holy One - has no excuse throughout the age, but is answerable for a transgression in the Age” [or perhaps “…is answerable for an age-long transgression.” Wont be Pardoned, nothing about never be forgiven.

So how can someone know at what point they have committed this or not?
@doctor1alex

Someone who remains with no repentance in their heart.

I don't see where God teaches us that He will give some sign to show exactly when this happens.

Instead we are called to repent and place our faith in Christ Jesus, with confidence in the Gospel.

I don't think the interpretation is accurate Beelzebub was spoken by the Pharisees, not by the other audience, and Jesus Christ will address the perpetrators, (like those who want to stone the woman cut in adultery, or like he did when he forgave the sins of the paralyzed man, when the religious people were thinking that he spoke blasphemy, for they truly believe that only God can forgive sins, but they didn't know that they were denying Jesus Christ divine nature). And also when Jesus Christ was speaking about the demon cast out, and made the house cleaned (by His presence and removing the authority of Satan, being Jesus Christ the strongest, since He is the Creator the Almighty God) and the devil returned with seven more demons more wicked than himself, so it will happen to these wicked generation, meaning the rejecting Jews to Christ authority, oh Jerusalem, since you didn't know the day of your visitation, your house is left desolate (worst than before). He wasn't addressing believers

I think i did commit this sin. A few years ago the holy spirit showed me my sins and i wanted to repent but then i thought i commit this unpardonable sin. And i was in fear and since there i thought i commit it. But then live goes on...i have 2 children and a husband. I had tho be there for them. But know i dont have any repantance. I hear so many sermons...my heart is cold and hard.I cry many many times. I wish i could go back. I know that Jesus is the only way....the only one who could save me. But after this....he was so gracefull to me and showed me my sin and wanted to save me. I dont know.....god cant forgive me for what i did. I wish i could do anythink different.

@@ag9755 You are NOT hopeless. I literally half-thought I committed the unpardonable since 9 days ago, but now I know for sure I have not. As long as you are alive and willing to run to Jesus, it is NOT too late. Don't let your feelings of despair mess with your head and prevent you from Jesus's outstretched arms.

I dont know i Read many Christian books. But i dont feel anything there isnt the holy spirit to convict me no faith. I dont know. I Tell my children jesus is the only one who can help you and save you. Its not like i try to convince people that there is no god. It is the Opposite. I know the truth.
