The french colonisation did exactly the same all over Africa, giving a lot of power to some tribes in other to divide the people and plunder the countries. Unfortunately we "french speaking" african people didn't do anything to counteract that. Ruling tribes just enjoyed their advantages and helped the colonisers to do their job

Evil muhfuhs did the samething LITERALLY globally. Thats the play all of the colonizers shared with each oither for deception and domination over unsuspecting indigenous people globally.

Divide and Conquer is what foreign powers use to overcome and keep blacks down worldwide! The black race is too trusting of these other races. They only pretend to come in n peace or to help the natives.

In Madagascar, the french colonisation didn't give a lot of power to one tribe. One tribe already ruled the country almost a century before colonisation. When the colonisers defeated the ruling tribe, they kept the pre-established structures because it was more practical than building a new system from scratch.

I'm so tried of my African American sisters and brothers talking about racism . It's everywhere, there are different levels , but has always and will always exist. Does obsessing over it stop you from getting ahead? Be in control of your own destiny., that way there is a lesser chance that your destiny will be in some else's hands.

I would like to know why do African Americans when they go abroad are always looking if there's racism in the country they're in?? Maybe it's because there is too racism in America. Me, as a Jamaican I never think about racism whenever I go to ANY foreign country. My take on this is that if you go looking for racism, you'll find it even if it's not too prevalent in sub saharan Africa.
@pietrycranberry6621
@pietrycranberry6621 2 года назад
You can't be serious? While people are going to have ethnic problems,the Africans we derive from face racial issues so those problems becomes ours automatically because of "interconnected" nature of the world now. Granted,if they know you're are a U.S citizen,the problems aren't exactly the same.

Perhaps they don't want to end up in a situation like those non American black people in Ukraine who were hollering about racism when the Ukrainians wouldn't let them leave. I myself was born in another country, have lived in other countries but would never be caught living in a place like Ukraine cause Eastern European racism is a flavor of racism I don't want or have to taste.

Their reaction is normal. They bave faced racism right from birth and it is a normal reaction to look for a place where no racism exists. No one should judge them for being so.

The are remnants of racism in Madagascar, owing to its past as a port and sometimes as a destination for enslaved Black people. What I observed from a recent trip to Antananarivo is, joining the police force or the army, is one of the few opportunities for upward social & economic mobility for the native Blacks. From what I saw; the street beggers are mostly Black and very few Blacks are found in economically well heeled places. Chances are, racism must exist at some level in Madagascar.

Racism is the other way around. The Merina had ruled the country before the French conquered by force. The French then subjugated the Merina. Today ethnicity plays a role in doling out government jobs and opportunities. It is a complex situation but racism exists but not in the way folks might think.

You guys are the same folks that call white people racist but all u people can notice on some is their skin color, like how? Listen a country like Madagascar and anywhere in an African country tribalism and ethnicity plays a huge rule in where u will be in life rather than skin color but of course all u Americans can see and think about is skin color
