What is the best hip arthritis exercise?
It doesn't exist! There's no one single exercise that can fix hip arthritis for good.
There are some exercises that might help with hip pain relief, and there are some exercises that can help with strengthening, and other exercises that can improve mobility... but no single exercise can do it all.

I have torn hip labrum osteoarthritis, according to the MRI. I just started doing these exercises for the hip labrum tears and I already feel a difference so I’m gonna hold off on the surgery and I’m gonna do everything in my power to get this healed. You are top-notch. I must say .I’m an older athlete so that probably helps but nevertheless your , instructions have helped me immensely in three hours . I do have a way to go, but I believe in you and I will keep up with your program Thank you so much

Always appreciate your advice, as being a senior in small town Canada it isn't always possible to get one on one physical therapy. Your videos are a great help as we find what works through trial and error. Thanks for your work.

I have a lot of "issues" with lower back and my left hip (plus gravely sounding knees). After a car accident 8 years ago, all that got worse. About 2 years ago, just stepping with my left leg would send me yelping (for lack of a better word) with acute pain, that with the very next step would completely go away. My hip doc, said it was like "potholes" I would hit with certain steps and not with other - honestly, it was the best explanation I got about what was going on. However, next all he had to say about it, was "you'll need a hip replacement, let me know when you're ready". And then I was left to just deal with all this. So I sat, and didn't move and sat some more because injections were starting not to work and out of fear of those "potholes" it was easier to just sit. Until I noticed - I could barely move now. I know this sounds silly, but I thought sitting and not "aggravating it" would let it heal, but all I was doing was becoming petrified, haha. So...I started to move, looking into videos like this and others has me now able to walk up to 6 miles at a time. Though those darn knees are now giving me "baker cyst" issues and I'm trying to work through some muscle adhesions, but that lower back and crest of the hips are always stiff. It's sad, when locally you have no idea who to turn to, because all they want to do is cut you open. Thanks for talking about ways to strengthen supporting muscles and buy time.

Your videos are great! You are a supurb teacher. I have hip arthritis. How do I increase bone density without making my hip arthritis worse. I also have osteoporosis, so am concerned about bone density. Was told to jump, hop, etc to increase bone density.

I fell and broke my hip 3 months ago. I had an intertrochateric fracture and it was fixed with an intramedullary nail. I have been through 12 Physical Therapy sessions and have no restrictions from my surgeon or PT. I have arthritis in both hips. I still walk with a cane and was wondering if your Hip Arthritis Recovery program would be appropriate for me. Thank you.

Finding the right help is crucial - you need an experienced PT / physician / trainer in order to sequence the exercises and the difficulty to get to the right place. The ‘one right’ exercise will always be the last one along the chain!

Hi I am 60yrs of age just come back from a scan for a rotator cuff tear, I had a problem one year ago same shoulder which was healing after exercise and physio, then in Nov last year I fell badly on my hip, with instant sciatica, very sore painfully torn knees, and renewed extreme pain in my right shoulder, also now with pain in my left shoulder.. With gentle persuasion and visits to hospital physio my knees and hip have now recovered significantly, but will always have probs due to stills disease as a youngster. My right shoulder scan shows a bad tear and inflamed muscles tendons, his words were "it was just about attached" , the pain is very bad most of time. An opp or injection was also mentioned.. After an Xray tomorrow I will need to talk with the physio again for a course of remedial action. Having applied a number of your exercise routines over the past 5 months. Ime hoping for some sign of self recovery. If offered do you feel an injection with further exercise routines will eventually resolve things, ime not so keen on an opp..so hoping for the best Thanking you Regards from Tom.. PS thank you for all your hard work with video presentations👍.

After six weeks I'm still in excruciating hip pain, so I can't do exercises. Should pain last this long? 🥺 I take 600mg of Advil, 1000mg of Tylenol every 8 hrs and it doesn't provide any relief.
