Dude if you and Adam from Garage Gym Lab posted more reviews, you’d be up there with the best reviewers out there. There should be an anti affiliate link for when you save us from spending money on stuff that we wouldn’t be happy with. The ROM on the leg press is too limited so I owe you one. Thanks for the review, just found your channel. I had been looking at this machine for my home and was concerned about the footplate for leg press and hadn't even thought about the ROM. That kills this one for me. Thanks for saving me $700

i have one of these and love it. i agree with everything you said about the issues of it. but given the benefits that it was cheaper, fits in my garage without major foot print, and i just put a mat i lie down on so i get extra depth. Also fact that the weight plates just sit within the machine footprint is great, alot of machines have weight plates sitting outside of the footprint. foot plate size is an issue for many but i guess i am very flexible that it doest affect me. its great for my needs! I know some people said the weight limit is an issue for them but i am no where near 500-600lbs for reps so i got a long time before i have to worry about that.

Yeah I found out later the weight capacity was 1200lbs for the “total machine” ? The weight capacity for the sled is more like 575-600lbs from Rit Fit. So that can definitely be confusing

Just put mine together and it definitely seems a little sketchy lol. Did you have issues with the step where you connect the piece that flips up and down for the leg press part? I couldnt get the little brass round clip things in and it ended up bending the crap out of the piece where the screw goes through. I was honestly a little concerned the weld was going to break altogether.

@@ak-zw8jv I actually didn't have any issues when assembling mine (which was quite surprising if I'm being honest 😂) That sucks though! I would definitely reach out to RitFit to see if they'll send you a replacement part!

How many 45 pound plates fit on the side cast iron not bumper?

It'll depend entirely on the thickness of the plates you're using (standard, deep dish, etc). You have 13 inches per side to work with.

@@MattPendergraph How many plates fit because there's another machine that is saying it can hold 5 to 6 plates I'm might buy the other one instead of it has more plate space for weight weight capacity is one thing but how many plates can you actually fit with the basic is another bumper plates take alot of space but basic cast iron or even urthene plates or of the normal basic take less.

@@MattPendergraph I want to know how many plates fit with regular cast iron urthene plates even normal metal .cap iron plates whatever, but not the calibered plates those you can always fit more so I want to know the regular stuff so that way if it's five plates it's good because then I can fit probably alittle more with calibered 55s .best gauge is with regular cast iron cap plates. Bumper plates it's too greedy Im not fan of bumper plates they take too much space anywaya

Meh....there are people who buy elite fts or bolt fitness stuff and they check off all the boxes but just collect dust. Buy something like this and just train hard
