In light of conflicting findings around the 4 with a dot castings on the 351 4v engine heads, I decided to take a peek inside my 1973 Q code engine, so lets take a look! WiFi camera; www.amazon.ca/DEPSTECH-Boresc...
Thanks Brad...I wasn't surprised finding open chamber, like you said, 72 was the last year for them. I'm in Warman, good to know I can find parts...thanks!
@@bradarmstrong8959 no problem Brad...Fords are all over the map when it comes to these engines...I've seen people post heads with the 4 & Dot, and they were closed chamber heads. You never know what Ford past off to the Canadian market during these years, since the smog regs were being enforced in the USA, that's why I thought it would be fun to have a look, but I wasn't surprised to find open chamber.
Weldon, this a wifi connected camera, no wires needed...it actually works pretty good, it allows video capture on the phone. The camera has it's own battery, and the app for the camera needs to be installed on the phone. Here is a link for reference...I bought mine off Ebay, for a little less money. www.amazon.ca/DEPSTECH-Borescope-Semi-Rigid-Inspection-Tablets-33ft/dp/B07X8SPJZT/ref=sr_1_6?crid=1BSUG1JBTQNB1&dchild=1&keywords=depstech&qid=1616674600&sprefix=depste%2Caps%2C222&sr=8-6
Hi Doug, they are a rare car, the Marti report shows "820 With these Engine/Transmission Codes" for 1973, and I'm sure a lot of them are long gone by now...but you never know what you can find when you look hard enough! 😎
did you ever find one ? i might know were one will be coming up for sale its a 73 Q code 4 speed car but no longer has 351 it now has a vary nice 468 in it.
Hi, the heads with 4 and small dot are closed chamber and the heads with 4 and big dot are open chamber. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-X61TqyLb8gw.html
