I have the R55 Cooper S with the N14 (141K KM on the clock) and love it. Virtually the same interior, but with a wood shift knob for the steptronic, split panoramic roof, and black roof liner. The exterior is in EXC. shape as it has been mostly garaged...the color is silver roof/silver and chrome trim, and the Sparkling Silver Metallic exterior paint (A60 color)...which I really like as it has a champagne color-like look to it that contrast well with the silver rooftop and silver/black bonnet stripes. Like yours, I added carbon/chrome exhaust tips. I also added chromed British Flag (black variant, not the union jack colors) covers/bolsters to the washer fluid jet-points on the bonnet, which really adds a nice touch and for the money, highly recommend this small touch. Some other accessories that I have implemented and highly recommend: 1) An Oil Catch can to the clean side vacuum take off between the valve cover and turbo inlet. A "must" accessory to minimize carbon buildup on this DFI engine. I will add a second to the dirty side. Each kit, including tubing, fittings, clamps and catch cans cost me about $60. Each baffled can has a quick drain w/ ball valve on the bottom, to check/empty them every +/- 1000 KM's. 2) An aftermarket Gen 2 N14 caste Aluminum valve cover off of AliExpress (US$160, delivered price, incl. new PCV, new gaskets, and chromed S.S. 8mm HW with integral washers). This cover is of much higher quality than the plastic OEM variant...fits perfectly...doesn't leak or weep oil when installed correctly (i.e. 90 in-lbs of torque and in the correct sequence PLUS high temp RTV to the clean side corners of the gasket), and will not warp over time with the engine heat. Damn...it makes the engine compartment look exceptional. Comes in three colors (Alu/silver, red, black)...I went with the ALU-silver color. 3) Mud flaps...to keep dirty water/snow from accumulating on the rear of the car, when driving in the rain. The square back drafts air at speed and the rear of the car therefore gets dirty in the rain...the rear mud flaps really help minimize the mess. (AliEx: $25) 4) Faux leather (chocolate-brown) floor covers with diamond-patterned stitching that are contour-fitted to the R55 footwells (front and back). Easy to clean...lasting...and they make the interior look more luxurious. Protects the carpets, of course. These can be acquired for under US$50 (delivered price for the full set) on AliEx. I put winter or summer floor mats on top of this aftermarket flooring cover. The rear compartment can also be done (mine is black with diamond-pattern stitch and cost about $100, ALiEx). 5) A turbo blanket to improve turbo efficiency (versus the OEM heat shield) and add to the engine compartment look. (AliEx: $45) 6) An aftermarket flexible S.S. turbo oil feed line, to prevent inevitable leaks from the OEM factory pipe variant. With the return line, total kit is about $50 on AliEx. 7) A bluetooth OBDII transmitter WITH an on/off button and low profile ("XTRONS" on AliEx: $15). I keep it installed and OFF, turning it ON only when using the Torque Pro app on my Android phone to get real time info from the cars ECU (e.g. vacuum, coolant temp, etc.). The ON/OFF function is important, to avoid battery drain when the car is turned off. "Low profile" so that while in the OBDII port under the dash, it doesn't get bumped by my leg while driving. 8) A magnetic tipped OIL drain pan plug. I just installed a new battery and bought parts to replace (myself) the water pump, idle pulley tensioner, oil filter housing gaskets, oil cooler gaskets, thermostat housing. Typical wear and tear parts that can be done at the same time, along with the new oil feed and return lines to/from the turbo + turbo blanket. I plan to kill many birds with one stone, so to speak. The turbo and timing chain were already replaced back at 120K KM...as I was the second owner (bought it used with ~70K KM on clock). I will have my garage change the transmission fluid (drain & replace, NOT flush) along with new filter & gasket. Will also be switching the rear split-window wiper motors (Right to left, left to right) and reposition the wiper arms to the VERTICAL position when stationary. I hate the horizontal stationary position as they collect dust, grime, or snow in that factory position. Lastly...always...always change the oil at twice the factory recommended frequency. I change the oil (& filter) every 8K KM with 5W-30 full synthetic!

PS: Meguiar's plastic restoration OR a ceramic coating to the plastic wheel well fairings with take the discoloration away and make them look new.

P.P.S.: I bought some quality GLOSSY Wood-grain adhesive-backed vinyl that matches (color, grain, gloss) the wood trim interior quite well. The flat black and rather bland factory plastic around the climate controls is the place where I made a template and then, using that template, made the vinyl to fit perfectly. It really blends in well to the rest of the faux wood cabin trim. Of course, there are stores that sell pre-made vinyl adhesives for this purpose...but not in the gloss wood grain that matches my particular car. Hence...buy at least a 30cm wide roll of the vinyl and give it a try. For ~$9...if you do not like it...peel it away with a blow dryer.

@@warnerswheelingabout4879 Also, from experience, carefully removing air bubbles with a very new razor or Exacto knife does a great job during the installation. However, as the vinyl ages and shrinks, those micro slits begin to show after 3-4 months of engine heat and sun. You can notice them when looking close up. Not terrible...but the technique should be used sparingly...else the wrap will look like the resting spot of your favorite cat.
