Hi Keith! Very nice find with that Motörhead record. I have an original of Rock n Roll I picked up when it was released. It’s the only Motörhead album I have besides the Live At Hammersmith but that is on compact disc. 🤘
Great to have a Motorhead album from day of release. That Live At Hammersmith is a classic as well, has a lot of their popular songs on that. Perfect album for your Friday night cheers. ✌
Love the start to " Ace of Spades " gets me every time. Even if the song is overplayed, I think Lemmy was sick of the song. But had to play it at every concert. Cheers Tony🤘

I love that Steve Mcdonald album cover, great road safety message there. It was the early 80's and I remember around then my Dad driving around town with us kids sitting on the back of the ute. No seatbelts, and him saying " Hold onto your sister!" A fun time, a lot less rules back then. Cheers Scott!.

I personally don't have much in my collection that I associate a price tag with and have overpaid with many a purchase but it kinda evens out with all the cheaper finds. Regardless of the price Ace of Spades is a keeper for the collection. Hahaha glad you received The Angels cds but we all know you can't hesitate to buy when you find certain things! 🍻🤘🏻

Gold records (at the time) existed, but quite rare compared to today's market... My uncle last summer gave me a bunch of records and in that batch was Styx "The Grand Illusion" gold vinyl... my copy isn't worth anything special according to Discogs... Your Motorhead album (according to Discogs) is worth a little more than my copy of Styx "gold" album... Great find though due to the rarity of gold vinyls at the time! :)
I don't remember seeing any coloured vinyl in the eighties, just horrible playing picture discs!. " The Grand Illusion " is a great Styx album, cool you got some free records as well from your uncle. " Ace Of Spades " is a belting record whatever the colour, hopefully I can find some more old Motorhead in future.Thanks for watching Dan.
I don't really know much about Motorhead besides Ace Of Spades. No real reason really I just never picked anything up. Anyway I'm not sure how rare that first one is but Discogs says that the gold record is translucent if you hold it up to a light, did you test that out?
I know some of Motorheads songs and have a couple of albums. Just one of those bands you don't see old copies of their stuff. My copy is not translucent , very solid vinyl colour. Not very gold like really. Cheers Kevin.
