I picked up the 22’ black on red and i picked this over the 21 version for the auto folding mirrors, hud, auto dampening suspension, interior lighting, heated rear seats it’s the best of both worlds aspec with the advance features is worth every penny!
I love the RDX with the Advance package, and MOST of the A-Spec package. However, there are two major misses that I can't get over. 1. The fabric insert in the A-Spec seats. It's ugly and detracts massively from what should be amazing leather seats. 2. The wheels. I don't get the reasoning behind the addition of the multi-spoke wheels on the A-Spec/Advanced combo. They are not sporty at all. The A-Spec is a sporty trim and the 5-spoke A-Spec wheels look so much better.
If only the fuel economy didn’t suck! My 22 RDX with the Technology package is rated at 27 highway mpg but I’ve never seen over 23 mpg on easy 70 mph cruise control trips. My 19 BMW X4, also with a 2 liter turbo, got 32-33 mpg on the same drive. 10 mpg better than my RDX! That’s shameful Honda/Acura!
I wish Acura would have kept the Sport Hybrid powertrain for their latest models. The RDS ASpec Sport Hybrid would have a 7DCT, improved performance/handling, and much higher mpgs with city/combined/hwy being same at +27 mpg. The 4500lbs 17-20 MDX Sport Hybrid get 25-26 city and 26-30 hwy with the 321hp hybrid engine.
I wish Acura had this configuration when I bought 2019 RDX A-Spec. I like to upgrade but the market is crazy now with high markups. It’s not worth the upgrade. In addition the infortainment is still junk i.e unreliable. I am IT person so I can fix it most of the time but not something I want to do in a car. This is another reason I am holding off on buying another Acura.
