Chevrolet is nuts for this. They stuffed this wickedly massive engine into the new copo Camaro! #camarozl1 #copo #camaross #camarozl1 #chevy #silverado #f150 #trackhawk #chevrolet #chevy
You are right. 1000hp stock naturally aspirated is an animal alone. It's a rare breed once you build onto that solid base. 30yrs from now, people will be talking about this unicorn factory built racecar.
I think that these manufacturers dragsters and racecars are going to be the big money in years from now. The problem with race car setups is that you can't let them sit. All the components are high-end and very sensitive to degradation. I found that out with the Z06 that had 7k miles at 6yrs old. It had lots of those little gremlins left for me to deal with as a 2nd owner. These cars are not our fathers generation of cars. They are meant to be driven.
@@Bdai21OOall motor means naturally aspirated. Otherwise it’s not all motor it’s the motor/engine plus whatever power adder you’re using, turbo, supercharger, nitrous
My issue with GM is they allowed the Camaro to become obsolete when it comes to power. They tapped out at 650 when everyone else was stepping into the 7s
Maro is a collectors car..been that way since the 5th gens...they wasn't worried about power or keeping up with the trend...especially when they got cars you can buy from then that's way above that power rating...realize GM has been In this game for years..they got a car for your every need..you want a drag car get a copo..you want a street powered animal get your zr1 vett. I mean the lists goes on...what other company you know is doing that!! Or able to do that?
Yeah and that 650hp Camaro can take a turn. The hellcat is a straight line car only. Plus it's not just about raw numbers. You can make any car have 700+hp if you really wanted to.
They don't care about the money lol they already got money!!! Gm has everything you could want. Race cars...exotics and luxury. There is no other car company that has that many options for you. GM holds the crown In the car industry
@@CertifiedSwerver herb would be the wrong comparison there. Insult to tokers 😂 New z06 is definitely in supercar territory, but still a disappointment
I don't know anything about car mechanics except for the basics. I watch your videos without having a clue of what you're talking about in specifics but I enjoy them. I have an '06 Impala SS factory 5.3 v8 but it's my daily 14 mile driver to work. People used to wanna race but that was not me. It pissed me off though when someone in a college girl Camaro or Mustang would do it because that was f'n insulting! Keep up the great work and fk the haters!
Boost is a replacement for displacement so they're about equal considering how big that engine is 632 is 10.4L. The hellaphant is a 7.0 engine with a 3.0L blower.
There's a distinct difference between the power delivery of a boosted engine like a turbocharged or supercharged one vs a naturally aspirated one naturally aspirated engines tend to be the most responsive in comparison to the others.while the supercharged ones have retained most of that responsiveness and added more torque and power at expense of top end.Turbos while they have significantly improved over the past 25 years will always have a small bit of lag.that's just physics.what you go with is your choice and what you're building.
No, the drag pack is in response to the COPO. Chevy has been making COPO Camaros and Corvettes since the 60s that were 100% focused on strait line speed.
The 2015 Camero was the best looking one front to back, they changed the looks to much for the worse a few years it would look good then they would change it, wish they would have kept the aesthetics of the 2015 and updated the performance and interior
You can lower the compression and put turbos on it but when you lower the compression, you lower the horsepower. Just like the Dodge had to have lower compression to use the supercharger. So, apples to apples. And twin turbos is two power adders. A Single supercharger is only one. So, again, not a fair comparison.
The 6th gen Camaro blew my mind when it came out, but afterwards, nothing has been really happening with it. There’s so much potential with the Camaro, I mean for starters, imagine having a Z/28 with the LT6 from the Z06, could you imagine a Camaro sounding like a Ferrari? And it’s so weird, I hate the back of the facelift camaro but actually think the front looks okay. Just goes to show how iffy and questionable some of the design decisions of the refresh are. Imho I really perfer the look of the 2016-2018 Camaro, it was already perfect, badass, modern, aggressive, and sleek with its simplicity. The original design for the 6th gen was already ahead of it’s time, with the new design they over complicated things like the front facia and gave it 🤓 tail lights again, looking at the refresh gives me a weird depressed post nut clarity feeling, they honestly should’ve NEVER changed it
That new hellaphant motor 1500hp though😬… not tryna downplay Chevy or any car brand for that matter I’m just glad that everyone’s being competitive besides Mitsubishi 😂
@@TBCG man I was outta a car for like 4 months and my manager let me drive her lil old Mitsubishi Mirage and it made me realize how down bad they are to start making ugly cars with just 80hp😂😂
@latticelyp I mean say what you want about mitsubishi....... but they did make on of the best 4 cylinder engines of all time. And for awhile they were unbeatable in rally, and made a car to compete with exotics of the time with the 3000gt vr4
@thisguyshorty3554 he just looking at hp numbers and not the potential..with adders.. not to mention we have seen so many cars with less hp especially (from gm) smack cars with more hp around at tracks.
all it takes is 1 pass. plus after that pass, you let your vehicle cool down anyway. Dodge owners are keeping repair shops alive due to their excessive abuse of showing off.
That engine has been out for years if "1 pass"was it then they wouldn't have been selling as good as they have been any quirks it had has been worked out of it over the 10 plus years that engine been for sale. If I'm not mistaken they have different horsepower setups for the 632 from factory or some thing like that
I grew up in a GM factory town…If u look at General Motors leadership historically always and I mean every time!!!they will make the WRONG decision and fuck every car truck factory or town all the way up!!!😂
Chevy been having heavy copos I had a coworker that had the bankroll and connections to get one a couple years back they always usually shittin on mopars 😆
1000 hp means nothing if you still can't see out the windows! Plus, I'll bet that the moment you try to double the HP coming out of that motor, Thanos is gonna wonder how you turned the pistons into powder and Mattel is gonna ask how you turned the connecting rods into silly putty.
think about what you're talking about for a sec... if you know what you're talking about you'd understand to double the hp in any car it would mean trouble for the internals if they are stock, so why are you expecting this one to just be able to handle that? dodge, ford, gm, fuckin toyota idc ive never heard of anybody just casually doubling their fuckin hp without upgrading their internals first lol what a dumb idea. also man have some sort of leniency yeah the windows suck but homie they're building this one geared for the drag strip why would you be looking anywhere else than in front of you... please for the love of god just appreciate it for what it is, with 1000hp no car is gonna be very practical
@Martin Ryan obviously you both can't comprehend my comment and haven't seen what every tuner has been doing with stock motors. Base 5.3 Chevy truck motor has been proven repeatedly to make double to triple the HP numbers from stock on an unmodified bottom end. Cam, heads, boost, and tune. Subaru guys do it too. Lotus did it with a Toyota 4 banger. And the 5th & 6th Gen camaros have crap for visibility out of every window, the windshield being no exception. My comment was specifically about being able to use a car with 1000 hp and what that would mean if you tried doing small block stuff with a big block. The laws of physics are not in your favor when you scale combustion engines up. Take a look at the cube law and you'll begin to understand. Also, now that I remember it, this has already been done and featured in hotrod magazine by a group of people who messed around with a big block hemi back in the 70s. Having worked on promod drag cars in the past, this honestly doesn't impress me all that much.
@@speed284504lick my sweet hole boy. You need to be more specific in what you’re talking bout in comments before you get somebody else comin back at ya, but I know yeah they can handle 2-3 times the hp stock but why do that to an engine??? Those kinda numbers don’t work well for long man that’s what I’m trying to say what a dumb fucking idea. If you were gonna put a supercharger to make even 150 more hp and put all that work in, why wouldn’t you upgrade internals to save yourself some fucking headache. I’d never have you work on my car dickhead.
@@speed284504 also funny u say “base truck 5.3” cuz I got one in my tahoe, good ol l59. And damn, my 100,000 mile motor could use some internal upgrades cuz I ain’t trusting big numbers on an old motor maybe you don’t understand practicality in the real world. Of course it can handle 2-3 times hp but for how fuckin long u think??
