What i did see was a copo winning the class yet again the next day after qualifying...... Most wins in prostock history is a camaro just google it before you say somethin again.

There is a guy named Scoot Gove and he races two crew. One car is 69 A/Stock 427 Camaro and the other run in SS/AM which is super stock A modified. The car is a late 80’s to early 90’s Dodge Daytona, it uses a naturally aspirated (no supercharger or turbo) 358 cubic inch small block dodge and there are uTube videos showing that car running 7.7-7.8’s. THAT’S POWER ON ANOTHER LEVEL!! Your Coyote needs Supercharger to run that kind of ET’s.

The Ford's with the Coyote is basically stock. So if you want to compare apple to apples. Take the Coyote all aluminum engine and compare it to Scoot's. The Coyote is still ahead in power. The DOHC design is just a better bullet. And that link below for the Mustang running 7's. that is a SBF n/a OHV engine running the same as those bb. Sorry Skippy you are not in the same league. And those CJ's in the video are still almsot 100 cu in smaller than the copo or mopar. Do some homework.

I was kinda thinking that NHRA would do the same thing to the Cobra Jets. They seem to be sweeping up at all the events which usually causes NHRA to add weight in hopes of making tighter racing.

Must not be familiar with prostock in the 70s-82. The 351C was the most handicapped engine until the 500in³ rule in 83.

@@chadkent1241 Very familiar with it, are you familiar with the 1972 rule change that crippled mopar because Ford and GM "demanded" change... All I know is that when Mopar wins, Ford and GM complain. When they win, we suck it up and just build better cars.

@@shitmyhellcatsays - I don’t think the challenger would catch up to the Mustang before the weight they were running 8.0, Mustangs best and record run for factory stock is 7.7, maybe they’d be fighting for second place against the Camaros. We all know that 5.2 coyote is one hell of a motor best one of the three. And like Chad Kent said the Ford had a weight penalty too Bob Gliddens in pro stock that didn’t stop it from dominating.

@@chadkent1241 you would be wrong, the 426 HEMI was by far the most penalized engine in pro stock for the first 4-5 years. The race cars had to weigh nearly as much as the trucks that towed them to the track. Even when they tried to make the engines in the low to mid 300 C.I. range NHRA would then limit the valve sizes on the motors. It was so bad that they stopped racing them, that’s when NHRA turned there attention to the Ford 351 motors and coming up with all these convoluted formulas based on wheelbase versus engine size versus head shape but they were always based on the Chevy model cars maximum or minimum sizes so that they would always have the advantage. That’s why Ford racers was using four-door Mavericks and those ugly ass mustang twos that were actually brought into the wind tunnel for aerodynamic testing and found that the car was more aerodynamic going butt forward instead of nose first Finally they ended up using the Ford Fairmont and Bob Glidden went undefeated the either the first or second year that he used it. Ford didn’t want to support Glidden even though he had won all those races, finally Bob Glidden had enough and Plymouth paid for everything for 2 years and for a couple of years he raced a 340 Plymouth arrow from Mopar and destroyed every 1/4 mile speed and ET record in pro stock. Ford then came to their senses and paid the man what he was worth while mopar went into bankruptcy. So he went back to Ford again but your your Cleveland engine did not have a Monopoly on being handicapped it started with the Hemi’s because the big block Chevy‘s couldn’t hang with them although Ford did try the S.O.H.C. motor but that was an experimental motor that never ever was installed in a car at the factory that’s why it never or why it got kicked out of both NHRA, IHRA and NASCAR it was an experimental motor not a production motor. Truth be told I can’t think of ANY handicaps that Chevy ever faced even when they were winning.

The fastest mustang I think is in the 5’s, coyote based factory cast GT350 heads. But that car is an insane machine.

@@fishonalbertaoutdoors9761 all the Hemi engines are Mopar they designed and built them and ford and chevy tried to come up with their own but they failed.if you even go back in history the fist factory production car to break the 12 second quarter mile time was the 1963 Plymouth Savoy with the 413 max wedge it ran the quarter mile in 11.97 sec.also mopar was the first to break the land speed record in a 1970 Plymouth Superbird it had a top speed of 223mph and it took almost two decades befor that record was broken it took a Corvette engine and a 4 speed automatic transmission to break that record. Also nas car ban the Plymouth Superbird and the Dodge Daytona with the 426 hemi because they dominate the track ford and chevy couldn't compete and the complained so that's why they bad been ban from the track.

Even Teslas plaid makes them all look pathetic stock for stock but the new generation of dodges are not the best at anything anymore. Definately not where they used to be,at the track. Other than having a good looking interior they are still wishing they could be number one. Ford has been doing things right then and now. Judging by your last response you know alot about mopars too, so I'm assuming your aware of a few Ford motors that dodge couldn't beat too. You remember the Cammer? But yes back in the day Doge had the racetracks pretty much owned. Today on the streets and on the track it seems to me its Fords turn👍

Actually at the end of this event, which is part of another video, the Cobrajets Dominated Chevy and Dodge. The event I attended 3 weeks later however, the Copo Camaros crushed everyone .
