Why would anyone want to do this? He spent all that time spitting gibberish that meant nothing with occasionally a few clever lines sprinkled in. It would be impressive if the entire thing was off the dome, but it wasn't because he made it clear which parts were off the the dome which were often mediocre filler lines at the end of a run. It's not like this was on Black Thought's 10 min freestyle level.
@jennag3226
@jennag3226 5 лет назад
@@suedecomponent8931 Lmfao. None of it was gibberish. Saying that means you're actually kinda hating and looking for an excuse to denounce it. @@suedecomponent8931 nah Eminem just thinks wayyy out the box compared to other rappers which makes it a lot harder to understand. His metaphors and double entendres are off the charts. Do me a favour go listen to Stevie knight dissect Eminem’s bars, he does this freestyle. Once you do go watch him react to this, come back and try tell me he was spitting jibberish the full time. 90% of this freestyle had meaning. Jay-z raps about bitches and chains and gets called the best lyricist. Trust me it’s a lot harder to do what Eminem just did than that, though I will agree with you black thoughts freestyle was ridiculously good, probably the 2nd best freestyle I’ve heard after this one

It's just practice, in some older interviews he talked about some of the ways he originally started practicing rap when he gave up on comic books. It's just different poetry techniques and rhyme schemes taken to a new level. It's what happens when you have a musician with the mind of a writer, and the drive to put everything you have into your craft.

Definitely a Pass! Eminem is just on another level lyrically. I want to counter your point about how eminem should let us behind the curtains.. the fact is, there's a lot of current day rappers who don't care. Sure they acknowledge Em as a goat, but there's a reason why they don't even try to take advice from any sort of lyrical artist. J cole tried to extend a hand out to these artists and they just don't care. It would be nice to see how Em pieces together his stuff but (to me).. lyrically.. if you read books, keep up to date with the news, and such you'll understand when Em name drops or uses a name and references what they did in his lyrics. It's not always about the whole wizard of oz who's behind the curtain. Em, has shown to the world that he studies his craft and keeps up to date with things.. something not many do. It's why a lot of artists are becoming one hit wonders.. sadly.. lot of artists just don't care about Em.. don't care about all he's done.. and they in no way wanna take advice from him. So while it'd be nice to see, he would never do it.

@HopeAnchors7
@HopeAnchors7 5 лет назад
@Katrina Murray in the words of J. Cole.. "A book brotha.. pick that up, expand your vocab" .. but these current generation of artists won't. Even when they change, they still only rap about the typical guns, money, sex, cars, and they claim there "top dogs" in the rap game. Eminem.. not only expands his vocabulary.. but mastered his craft. Other artists don't even wanna take the time to do this. Multiple artists have reached out to this generation of rappers to educate them.. and they just slap there hand away thinking they can out shine these OG's and they never will until they stop chasing the fame.. cars.. and learn to humble themselves and have respect. It's why lot of your "mumble rappers" are dropping albums and there sales are tanking.. why? Everyone is fed up.. you're old news.

Ivan Sanchez you can’t copy Eminem’s formula. It’s raw talent. He’s just on another level lyrically mentally everything he’s just a different being. If all it took was absurd talent, there would already be a couple other Eminems. If all it took was devotion to a craft, there would be more than a couple Eminems. The word "genius" gets thrown around too much today, but even to people who don't use that word lightly, if you HAD TO pick one guy to describe as genius currently in rap, its Eminem. If you pick a different guy first -- considering that guy would need to match the rhyming, vocabulary, delivery -- you are probably wrong.

Some of his funniest ideas are as funny as a comedian's and his vocal performances and delivery are voice-artist (I mean, I know he is a voice artist... literally, lol, but I mean like a cartoonist or something) level. "I MEASURED IT!!" lmao, no other rapper is like this. AND he makes shit funny asf whilst coming across angry, and the material being dark. Even most comedians don't manage that. They try to come across funny.

I think at 8:40 Em kinda gives a glimpse into why he is so good. He said if he messes up in the vocal booth he doesn't redo it. If it doesn't come out in one take then it wasn't how it needed to be to him and he scraps it. I bet there are hundreds of albums worth of scrapped songs that didn't quite make one take.

This was way better than the Kickoff Freestyle. It doesn't hav the awkward choppy flow. On Kickoff it felt like Em was trynna rhyme words that wud not rhyme but was still trynna rhyme 'em using his flow. This was fire. Em does it without a beat n thats wats great about these freestyles #RapGod

Eminem is too good with words, unbelievable! you should do a video to this whole ShadeXV Cypher, or some Yelawolf! Em signed him, so that says something.

Yelawolf and Slaughterhouse also did cyphers and this is only Em's. You should react to Kxng Crookeds.. It's crazy, even Royces.

His kick off freestyle was like those hot sauces that sacrifice flavor for spice. Like yeah its hot as hell but it doesn't taste as good as this one
