The people of Namibia are better off being overlooked within Africa than deal with an avalanche of Africans fleeing failed states with failed cultures. The African does not really have much to choose from; racist whites with some infrastructure, Indian dominated economies with no infrastructure, or failed Black countries with no infrastructure, only Black colonisers posing as leadership. Over 90% of Africa is under Black colonial rule, whereby the leader personally owns the countries resources, he stays in power for as long as he wants, and lines up his children or handpicked successors to take over from him. Africans suffer to much under the guise of being independent.. If Africans had to choose between the British Hong-Kong styled type of colonisation and Black leadership; I am afraid, a good number would choose Hong-Kong over present day Gambia, present day Sierra Leone, present day Guinea Bissau, kindly refer to the UAE visa ban for the following African (basket case) countries: Uganda, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Cameroon, Nigeria, Liberia, Burundi, Republic of Guinea, Gambia, Togo, Sudan-Nigerian, Democratic Republic of Congo, Senegal, Benin, Ivory Coast, Congo, Burkina Faso, Guinea Bissau, Comoros, and the Dominican Republic (mainland Africans taking up passports of Comoros, Sudan & DominicanRepublic and Caribbean Island countries). Rather than run from our culture, essentially run away from ourselves; we need to address our demons rather than transfer them to somewhere that will only be nice so long as we are in the minority.

Are you delusional, don’t confuse farmland with county land , everyone in Namibia has land & no black Namibian is interested in being a farmer let the Germans farm the desert if they want too , but don’t confuse commercial farmland with a country’s land , farmland in Namibia make up 1% of the country’s land , they own 70% of that 1% farmland , not the way you trying to put it

That makes sense, with a small population and so much territory, it would be hard to lose people to immigration.

​@Jazz-fg2dm Namibia stopped being a German colony after WW1. I don't know what the obsession of non-Namibians is with the Germans. The Afrikaners did more damage economic-wise due to Apartheid. There are more Afrikaners than Germans here, but nobody talks about them. Also after independence the government did a lot to uplift black people. During Apartheid we were excluded from participating in the economy,even education was only until a certain grade kf lower secondary school. All those professional middle class you see in Namibia are as a result of a black government. We did not even have black engineers, lawyers, accountants, etc before 1990. So the reason why Namibians do not leave is because we are enjoying the fruits of our independence. the government is not perfect, but it has done a lot in a short period compared to countries that gained independence earlier than us..

@M_KK I don't think it's an obsession but the international story that non-namibians hear about the country is usually the fact that the Germans engaged in an open mass genocide so recently in Namibia that prepared them for the mass genocide they would perform on their own soil in World War II. There is clearly truth to that story. It adds an additional disturbing layer that they did a 'practice' round of genocide here before 'perfecting' it in World War II. This is still a relatively new story Internationally, that many are just learning about. And the fact that the descendants of these genocidal Germans (not saying the younger generations are bad people) are still around is shocking to some foreigners. The Afrikaners situation in the country is less known globally. So that's probably why there aren't any comments directed towards that.

@JayFocused sure I understand the genocide part. People can still call for justice and reparations without the constant mention of the Namibian Germans being the sole reason for our misery, though. I find it weird how the German situation is viewed when it comes to Namibia. It seems to be the sole focus. I've watched a lot of documentaries by Western media regarding Namibia, and they follow the same script. Which is a story for another day. This, however, has created an impression among non-Namibians about the extent of the German influence. You will even see people attributing the orderliness and cleanliness and being able to maintain our roads to German influence. Mind you, the majority of black people are from or concentrated in the northern regions from the Kunene River to the Zambezi, and they had very little interaction or contact with the Germans. Or even how well the Germans developed Walvis Bay, although Walvis Bay was never part of the German colony but British. After the Germans lost the war to the Afrikaners, most of them returned to Germany including most generals that were responsible for the genocide so most of the descendants of the people that were responsible for the atrocities are in Germany. What the documentaries have been able to achieve is depict Germans in Namibia as these evil people that control all the wealth and all the land, while the Afrikaners are nowhere in the picture. Not to mention, all the retail business and financial services and most of the food we consume are from South Africa. Basically, white South Africans control the economy of most of Southern Africa. The documentaries also imply that the Germans are the sole reason for the poverty in this country as a result of the land dispossession policy. Meanwhile, the majority of the black ethnic groups were not affected by land dispossession. They still have their land, yet some remain poor due to apartheid policies. But any travel video about Namibia, you're guaranteed to see a comment about these evil Germans owning 70% of the land and controlling the economy. Hopefully, one day, the outside world will be educated about the entire colonial history of Namibia and not just the beginning part.

@@JayFocused They are not genocidal Germans, they are Khazarians who infiltrated and conquered European countries and the USA. Most wars we have seen where Khazarian wars.
