Great work as always, Jonathan. And thanks for the GRM mention. Indeed, I have test tires coming next week for a full-on test versus appropriate comparables. As a side-note, Jonathan, myself and TJ from Tire Rack, who heads up their testing program, were all on track at the same time at Hoosier's media launch event for this new tire. Both of those guys can absolutely wheel a car consistently to the limit, so their results and analysis are to be trusted. Jonathan can even do that while talking on-camera, which is even more impressive.

Because of your video, I made the right choice a couple years ago. I purchased a Falken Rt660 instead of a Toyo R888 and dropped 2.5s lap time.

The Conti EG Force is also made together with Hoosier and was absolutely ahead for everything else when it came out. German endurance racing experience met American drag racing experience. Still one of the best tyres. Honestly - everything from Hoosier, Mickey Thompson and Continental is top notch.

Jokes aside - actually trailers could be a fine testing material - how they behave with different tyres on straights, curves etc.

Car weight matters with tyres in this segment. My 580 kg clubman runs AR1s, can lap all day with no grip degradation but the same tyre on my mates 1100 kg group NC Holden Torana historic touring car managed 5 laps and they turned to mush and wouldn't recover. The Nankang rep gave us some tips, mainly lower pressures with no joy. I have raced a variety of cars over the years and have found tyre choice to be mostly 'run what the guy whose wining runs' kind of works. Misha recently bagged crs Nankangs on a light weight VW golf when only weeks before he had a praised them on a BMW. I find these comparison test to be really only helpful if you race the same or similar car used in the test. Just my opinion of course, good luck in your next race everybody!

Hoosier is owned by conti now? Didn't know that.. used to be a small niche standalone but the big fish taking out the small guys is the norm I guess. I imagine its quite different on a bigger faster track and if alignment is optimized for each tire - differences would be much wider then methinks. Given there's quite good 200TW tires already, Cost/durability will be more important than outright grip at least in the endurance racing I would use them for (have used the Hoosier Rx for many years in sprint racing). For example, the yokos might be fastest, but they are also the most expensive and the RE71R falls off too fast. I'll give up a little grip to be able to run a full 24hrs on one set of tires without falling off.

Great review as always. I'm not in this category of tire since I drive in colder weather and sometimes in heavy rain too with just a few track days per summer so I'm aiming for Eagle F1 Supersports. But it's always exciting comparing the 200tw class! Keep it up!

Again I would love to see the side stretch comparison with different pressure from these and also for normal summer tires. Pressure is always big question that makes people comparing their tires performance which also effects a lot of the feel.

If you could include another attribute in your reviews: number of heat cycles before tire hardens up. We need to know if this is a 1 or 2 track day tire, or a tire that will also last 2k miles on the street. This is why most drivers don’t get the Cup 2R.

I have to say I've never heard "Hoosier" pronounced like that. But I've lived in the US Midwest all my life so that's probably why.

Ok for your next 200TW test here are some suggestions. Got to try out the new Continental extreme contact Force which as well as the Dunlop 200tw SP SPORT MAXX GT600 that is standard on the new Nismo Z that are supposedly really good. Obviously Bridgestone RE-71RS must be included but also the new Bridgestone Potenza Race which I know you’ve already done both independently but definitely a worthy inclusion to the test. Yokohama A052 obviously but would really like to see the Yokohama AD09 included as it’s meant to be a more endurance tire that’s also more suited to high speed stability compared to the A052 which is more suited to rally cross. Which on that note the BFGoodrich rival 1.5 is also Also the Goodyear Supercar 3 (220TW) you tested earlier seems like a good contender for this category Also some other worthy products in the 200TW range is like to suggest are the Kumho V730 Nankang CRS V2 Nexen N'Fera Sport R Also a Hankook RS4 given its probably the most popular 200TW endurance tire and gives a good baseline to viewers Also to throw a spanner into the mix I think the Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02 Although a 340TW road tire is supposed to be very close in performance to a 200TW semi slicks tire. Product wise it sits between the Conti sport contact 7 and the extreme contact sport. Also I know Michelin and Pirelli are going to want to throw their Trofeo and Cup products into the mix so I assume they will already be there although from memory some of them are like 180tw so I don’t think they should be included unless they are 200TW or over.

5/32nd's is currently NOT legal for SCCA TT, so that would be a very interesting choice by Hoosier if that is true.

video idea: Walmart exclusive tires from Goodyear. Read they are fine to dangerous, so bad people think something is wrong with their car getting alignments. It can't be that bad from a major brand, potentially tanking their reputation ... aren't they still the sole provider of NASCAR tires? But the dangerous part is what worries me, and although similar to a video you did a year or so ago about budget; the title with both Goodyear and Walmart in it, and if they are not safe ... might help spread the word? eh, at least a comment is positive interaction for the channel if it is silly internet hyperbole; I don't even know how I got to those pages while listening to a podcast, but when tires are involved I think of this channel lol oh, and its nice to see something out of Hoosier, not a name I think I've seen on the channel much

The fact that they aren't 7/32 of tread depth new means they aren't legal for SCCA Autocross street tire (200utqg) classes which means they will miss out 100% on that market which honestly is probably 70% of the US 200utqg market if I had to guess. Feels like a dumb move IMO from hoosier

Looked at the tire graphic between ECF and Attack - looks like this new guy just drops some wet grip and ups dry, less endurance based. Curious how it will lead against the 71RS since that doesn't forgo wet grip and magically stays on top while keeping it.

I'm 830 wheel and use toyo r888r. Amazing street tire and hooks really well at my power level. I wonder if these tires would perform better for my purposes?

How do you think they "feel" subjectively? I know when you tested the Goodyear SC3's, you praised them for not only their grip levels, but also how good they felt to drive on. I have used the SC3's on 2 cars now and I do love them too and how they feel and their characteristics. Do you feel that the Hoosier TrackAttack Pro gives off those same good vibes as to how they feel?
