+Sabine W. @3:24 thats javelina. I think its picture's angle is not good so portia could not recognized it but it was a javelina as it was mentioned in Ellen book and on Ellen Website as well.
I read in an article that it turned out it was a javelina, just that the one shown wasn't a very good picture so Portia didn't recognize it as the mystery animal.
Portia is such a good sport!!! I am so jealous of all the people that are lucky enough to be a part of your lives and witness such a beautiful relationship!
everyone has these suggestions about what it was but I live in the UK and if I saw anything but a bird, hedgehog or maybe a squirrel in my garden or yard id call the police, oh my gosh! that doesn't happen here!

How can i write ellen i need to let her know portia is not crazy, i too seen this creature today 2/5/18 in queens, NY. i thought it was a possum, but it had a pig shaped nose and i said to myself it looked weird. so i googled all images of possums and saw nothing with that nose. Portia is not crazy. that thing is in New York. it was like a faded color pink, it had white hair kinda standing straight up like it was electrocuted. and the tail was unseen because it scared the piss out of me so i froze, closed my eyes and screamed until i felt it was gone, but when i opened my eyes It just walked right past me and went into someone's back yard, i died for 2second, it was not fazed by my roar at all and I'm loud. It kept on walking like a straight up G. it might have been deaf. but whatever it is, I'm pretty sure it was what Portia seen or somewhere in that family line.

It was just a theory. Cause in Ellen's video for her birthday it talks about how she went to Britain and stuff. But she probably lived all her childhood and teenage years there but lost the accent from all the traveling.
@unlikely94 I am currently reading Ellen's newest book (I'm actually about to finish it) and she wrote "..we did eventually figure out that the mystery creature she spotted was a javeline", even though Portia denied it after Ellen showed her a picture of one :)
i just saw your video and in Indonesia we have animal we call babi rusa or deer pig which look so similar with the scatch. the teeth could be small but could curl and long.. but as I listen to portia's story and the scatch I really sure its what we call here "babi rusa"
I'm thinking that it might be a sigbin like from my grandma's stories .. Sigbins are so hard to find coz they are like mythical creatures or like chopacabra in mexico.. And she said she did seen one .. But I'm not sure if she was telling the truth coz she might just wanna entertain a 5 yr old kid.

I think that's the Indian boar, also known as the Andamanese pig or Moupin pig ..🐗.....Portia please google it, if you find it, that's the same what I am talking 'bout..then please let us know....☺

you know what maybe she saw a species called BABOY RAMO. The characteristics Portia described looks like a Baboy Ramo and that's what we Filipinos called that animal. I suggest that you must search a picture of it and agree with what I am saying.
Only on the Ellen show does Ellen seems a bit reserved when Portia's around (I'm not sure if she's trying to keep it tame for political sake because even when she showed her wedding pictures, she didn't show the one picture of them kissing but she did show that picture on the Oprah show), but in her monologues Ellen speaks very highly and affectionately of Portia. I suggest viewing Ellen and Portia being interviewed by other people like Oprah or Bethenny if you want the full chemistry =)
