The furthest point south in Bangkok actually touches the Gulf of Thailand and has a small beach that is referred to as The Bangkok Sea. This is one of Thailand's mangrove restoration areas that is being used to fight against flooding as the sea encroaches on the cities southern most regions.
My friend Sidd and I made the trip via motorbike through Bangkok, crossing the Chao Phraya River and made our way down to the southern most point of Bangkok and pay a visit to the Bangkok Sea. Traveling by motorbike is one of the best ways to get around in Thailand and reach areas that you would otherwise not be able to visit easily.
