Is this really London? just watch and see. There are parts of London that will amaze you. This is South East London. No Hustle, no bustle, not smelly, not loud and noisy. This is quiet London in Rotherhithe.

There are loads of open spaces all over London for some peace and tranquility. My locals are Alexandra Park (where they play the darts) And Trent County Park, which is on the outskirts of London. Both places great for chilling even when there are events going on.

Well you can always find peace and tranquility amidst all the hustle and bustle if you take the time to explore, lovely area shame i bet those homes are very expensive. Please show us more of these lovely areas .

London can be mad , but its true there are really nice places to go even if they are surrounded in tall buildings, you live in a great place, i probably walked past when i used to visit London, i do miss it and you help with your trips out, thanks

Coots with the white head ,nice one mate , mostly investment flats no community,looks like a Sunday morning in Hammersmith in the 70s shops shut peace and quiet,when it was Christian traditions,Shame really ,oh and we had a sugar refinery at the end of our street on the Thames ❤🇬🇧

Obviously whoever wrote that about London being noisy and bustling doesn’t know it well. When I lived at Lee Green I would regularly take the bus then DLR and alight at Island Gardens for the short walk to the most beautiful peaceful riverside park overlooking Greenwich and The River Thames. It’s so relaxing and there’s even a nearby cafe for a brew or a breakfast if you needed it. Then there was Embankment Gardens another beautiful peaceful area just minutes from Covent Garden. So many perfect and peaceful places to go in our capital.

Thank you so much for showing Rotherhithe. My Mum is from there and we lived there as a family in the mid to late eighties, I went to school there too. It has changed so much but it was lovely to see it again. 😊 Just found out the oil refinery was on Rotherhithe street called Castrols apparently.

Love walking round london so much, I'm doing a day in Mayfair ia few weeks time, so excited. I won't be buying anything but just love looking in the shop windows. Great vid, I rember Surrey Quay before it was transformed going on my daily coach journey from the city to kent in the early 80's.

such a nice place - try walking by the river here in Middlesbrough. You only go down there to "do business" or get bumped off - sometimes both!!!! The difference is investment I live 7 miles away from 1973 England sadly

@@DarrenJohn It has to be Greenwich Darren. Canary Wharf having cocktails in the Alchemist too. Having a vip dining in Fallow was beautiful. I loved everything and I relive it all through your brilliant blogs Darren so thankyou so much for sharing your fab content. 🥰☀️🥰xxx

I was down in London last week for meetings. Stayed near Regents Park, got taken out for Dinner at Dishoom in Covent Garden, then a few drinks in Maple Leaf. Wondering where to go on Thursday and I was thinking, I bet DJ would know a good place.

I live in Surrey quay you were by house at the start and would have said hello if I knew you were coming haha. If you have more time the walk by the Thames looking at canary wharf and the beach on the other side by the Mayflower pub is worth checking out. But getting busier now with all.the development in Canada water.

Nice little stroll mate things change so much. Couple of years ago I went to the Tate Modern, first time back since we gutted the old Bankside power station back in 95 for them to create the Tate. Mind blowing what they’ve done there😳👍🏼👍🏼.

Lovely vlog thankyou for sharing, I come Fownhope to London at least 3 times a year from up north . I used to bring coach party's down every December and we always stayed at the tower thistle hotel ( gouman hotel now) we came for 15 years and enjoyed every trip went all over London but at nite time always walked along the South Bank right up to the London Eye. I now come down on my own or sometimes with family and friends and stay st the LSE Bankside in summer time just behind the tate modern it's the home of the University students and its hired out in Sumner yo the public

Evening Darren, the only thing that has not really changed is the Thames. However its banks have transformed out of all recognition 😊 When the Daily Telegraph moved into " Docklands " and the whole area was a building site, I was working as a chef ,the staff restaurant was an old Ice- Breaker . I remember when you couldn't give away houses or flats in that neck of the woods. Now, Lottery Winning folk,pop stars, actors ect,ect. But a nice little wander about,time to dream😊Cheers Allan&Family

Great video…..I can do without the sexy bit! Biker all my life now 78 balance gone awol…..bikes a thing of the past..have to rely on the old xj8, tuned a bit, sports exhaust, permanently in sports mode….smile on my face every day. Oh and I love good food and cooking. Can’t sing though but thats another story. Keep on doing what you are doing.👍

Again you are right on my door step mate! You should have come in for a pint in the Moby dick!. They do lovely food at reasonable prices... Greenland Dock wjere you were, if you go there at 7am onwards to 9am is the most tranquil place in se London. Love it. It's a nice walk around it and loads off joggers. There use to be a pub in the dock years ago called the wibbly wobbly. I wish it was still there so u could review it. Its quite a working man's area but lovely place and beautiful to look at. The red bridges are an icon. One at Surrey quays and one on the river at Rotherhithe Street.

Do you possibly mean the gas works on rotherhithe street Darren? By the river the old pier is still there. The main bit of rotherhithe is further north than where you were iirc
