What do you guys think of this new display unit from Sim.Dash? FYI! I got the price wrong for the GRID DDU5, it’s $489 AUD not $495; $5 dollar difference due to the fluctuations of the exchange rate since recording.
Hi Alex, given the extensive use of the lovely dashboard on the dash and in the video, I’d have like to have seen them get a mention or some exposure. Whilst the dash is great. Hardware is nothing without software and the lovely dashboard eco system is game changing.
Thanks for watching mate! Monza make their own version of a dash but it’s a a bit expensive for what it is. You can start of with just using an old tablet or phone as they are Simhub compatible! I think one of my next videos will be about this 🤔

If you have onboard graphics (as in on your CPU) you can plug your dash if HDMI into the motherboard HDMI/DISPLAY PORT instead lf the GPU which removes 99% of performance loss. I do this and works great. I have 5 screens, 3 triple 1440p into the GPU o e HDMI screen above the triples plugged into the GPU then I have my HDMI dash plugged into my Motherboard and all work seamlessly
Have you tried live streaming etc with all that does it go okay (cos live streaming uses a chunk of cpu)? Good idea plugging it into the cpu hdmi slot though. I mean personally I’d still prefer USB-C but it’s good to know in case of emergency 👍
@@alexkayracing no I haven't but good point for streamers. Its a great choice for anyone who already has 4 screens set up and then need a 5th for a dash. 🍻
