"A reporter who was physically threatened by a member of Congress while conducting an interview after Tuesday night's State of the Union address says he has no plans to press charges. Michael Scotto, a reporter for the NY1 channel, was interviewing Rep. Michael Grimm, a Republican who represents Staten Island and other parts of New York City. After asking about Grimm's reactions to President Obama's speech, he tried to ask the second-term congressman about allegations of campaign-finance violations involving his election in 2010. There's no question that he isn't just concerned about the question, that's all the bad cop and schoolyard bully and every other nasty part of him coming out, just listen to the tone, look at the body language.... he looks at the very least quite bent on scaring the living fuck out of the guy. And you know he stood there and waited, and then when he thought the camera was off, made a literal charge in, just look at the reporter's face, he's obviously got something kinda scary coming at him. If he'd taken the congressman "to task", he might literally never get out of prison, if he managed to not be waterboarded. They'd charge him with every political intimidation, threats, terrorism, attempted assasination/murder charge ever written. And probably throw some drugs in his pocket, just for good measure. I'm pretty sure if you abuse your FBI power to falsely arrest a whole club because of a personal matter (presumably, with the intent of further abusing your power against an individual), and from the types of things he said, quite possibly abused his FBI power to.... murder people, make them "disappear", well..... you should probably be in the highest security prison in the country (which SHOULD be reserved for law enforcement agents who have abused their power, considering that's about the most direct attack on our nation possible)

A charge should be automatically pressed in cases like that... That journalist work with a producers and administrators. Someone should just take send the case in court after making the video public, otherwise their journalist will get bullied and bullied... Which is annoying for journalist. This is even worst given that this is a congressman, and if the journalist answer "bring it on, bitch!", the journalist could be charge with terrorist threats!

Holy CRAP this guy was a Fed? Anyone else notice just about every time some cop is caught stomping a trachea a phrase like, "show some respect" almost always pops up? When a congressman speaks to a reporter, its the congressman getting the favor. News reporters are supposed to be journalists, they're supposed to ask the hard questions. Journalists have to remember their importance, their jobs are the only ones specifically mentioned in the Constitution.
