WELCOME to the start of the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show 2022 series!!! I am so excited to bring all of this content to you guys! And kicking it all off, we have the Pursuit S 248 Center Console. What an amazing boat, but is it the best 24ft center console on the market? Watch to find out!

Thanks for sharing, its definitely a nice boat. While I like the boat, $200k for a single engine Pursuit is outrageous. They are more than Everglades, Boston Whaler, and I think more than the new 24 Regulator. I personally would not put the Pursuit in the same category but they all make nice boats. I feel like many of these manufacturers are losing touch with the middle class and just focused on higher end products.

Jimmy you make some very fair points here. Unfortunately the prices of all new boats have just gone up so significantly that it's becoming less and less affordable for the middle-class without having to take out a giant loan. Comparing build quality of boats from what I've seen, Pursuit is up there with the best. Everglades, Whalers, and Regulators are all amazing boats as well! I think it comes down to personal preference for what each brand has to offer!

Oooof, 200k for a 24' with a single! Nice boat but there are a lot of options out there for that price in larger platforms.

Ya it definitely is a lot of money, but one thing I've really learned going to all these boat shows is you really get what you pay for in terms of quality of the boat. Pursuit is up there for some of the best build quality.

Nice boat. I like the steering wheel position. More like a car and less like a bus. I also like the front console access door.

Glad you enjoyed! Personally, I've been skeptical of the front console access doors but they've really grown on me! Much easier to grab bags or anything being stored in there compared to the side access like we have on our own boat.

Check out the 2023 Robalo r250. Another nice boat that is cheaper. I like Pursuit, but they're expensive. Some of their boats still have laminated wood ( bulk heads) in the hull. Most boat hulls are 100% composite.

I've never really checked out the Robalos because I've always thought of them as more of a luxury boat and not a fishing boat (which is what I prefer). But maybe I'll check it out at the next show!

I’m going to predict that any of these boat companies that are under debt currently will be bankrupt and gone inside of two-three years. Too many manufacturers and the cost have become unobtainable for the average consumer. I’m not poor by any definition but would hardly consider a new boat purchase at these prices. Guess only time will tell.

Way to many nice used boats with only 50 to 150 hours on them where the "new boat" beating has mostly been taken. Still not cheap but well worth getting one a year or so old. So many people buy a boat and then literally never use it.

Nice boat, but I'd rather have a 2023 25' Aquasport. They've made nice improvements on their upholstery and instrument panel /helm. Probably $30,000 cheaper.

205 / 5 000 hello, the Pursuit is a very nice center console, but really very expensive. Please consider moving your camera slower and not at the speed of your diction, it's really disturbing.

Yes there are expensive, but are some of the best built boats in the industry. You get what you pay for. I apologize for the camera work, if you watch some of my newer videos and some coming very soon, that is no longer an issue. Thanks for watching!

I agree with the other guy stop panning to selfie mode when u talk. If you want to show ur face then just cut the clip and start it again when it's on ur face. It's almost unwatchable like this.

Totally understand, my apologies. Sometimes I get caught up in the moment. I can assure you that for future videos I will be more conscious of when I'm panning the camera and talking. That being said, I appreciate the feedback.

They're clearly stuck in 2020 pricing with that boat. There's nothing about it that makes it "the best". Can get a twin engine NauticStar fully loaded with electronics, spot lock, poles for less money.

I have not looked into any NauticStars before, maybe I will check them out at the next show. But I can assure you that no boat manufactures have lowered their prices since covid significantly raised them. And unfortunately, I don't see the prices coming back down anytime soon. I can tell you that although Pursuit's prices are a little bit higher, the build quality is top notch!

@@LivinSalty Already seeing the prices drop on bass boats as the used market is getting flooded with boats that aren't selling. Same thing happening with RV's. The gravy train is over. Those of us with money aren't spending it until the market bounces back.

Their length and beam conversion to metric is way off. L.O.A of 25'8" is 7.82m not 9.14m, and a Beam of 8'6" is 2.59m not 2.95m. False advertising right there.

You are right, it is wrong. But I don’t think it was intentional. This was the debut show for this boat, I’m sure it was just an accident. The correct conversion is listed on their website

After living in South Florida, I would op for twin 150 OBs if available. You want to be able to make it back if you get a good bit offshore and with the dust up storms we get.

When you pay 100k less, I can assure you that it's not gonna be close to the same build quality. I've seen some pretty scary stuff from brand new boats at these shows that are cheaper. You definitely get what you pay for

@@luisochoa8023 I'm not sure where you've heard that but that's pretty impossible. The motors alone are 50k. To do everything else; creating the hull, all electronics, upholstery, wiring and rigging, t tops, etc etc and all of the labor for all of that plus covering overhead costs, there is no chance that it still cost under 100k. Plus the company has to make money! Maybe used they could go closer to 100k but from the brief research I did, even the like-new preowned ones are well above 100k.

@@luisochoa8023 Thank you for providing a link, I actually love Alfred's videos! Couple of notes here. First off it is a very nice looking boat, I will say that. The loaded boat in this video, which in my opinion is more comparable with its features to the pursuit is 150k, but still a good price. The main problem here is that this is from 2019, a time when the economy was in much better shape than it is now and most importantly, pre-covid! I'm sure you know how much the cost of materials has increased that these boat manufacturers have to use and how delayed they have been to get these materials and especially motors! But nonetheless, I will be sure to stop by their booth at the Miami Boat Show next weekend and check them out to see the quality in person. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.

When I was in Florida last year I couldn't believe all these young rich kids who must have wealthy families because there's no way twenty-year-old kid could afford to buy a for million-dollar boat to run around in just say it must be nice to be spoiled
