I did not receive the ANC version so I can’t speak to how well it performs. I will ask EPOS if they can send me ANC version as I have been asked frequently about it.
Had mine arrive last week ordered it after watching your video, the office supply agents with Poly, the managers were in a leveling call and my call was used they thought I was working from home when I was actually in the office (195 people around me) it was so quiet. Absolutely amazing noise cancellation and thanks for the review it's everything you portrayed, thanks for the honest and genuine review.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience! These are the best reviews. I do my best to share real world demos! Appreciate your feedback. It motivates me to keep doing them.
It seems really good! I would love a test mimicking having a family member come up and talk to you, or having someone nearby (call center style, shared office, etc.) talking as well - I find a lot of noise cancelling will pick up nearby(ish) voices really clearly even if they block other sounds fine. Nothing like hosting a webinar or business call and having your partner on a call they can all hear in the same office.
That test is included in this video. Go to 4:44 min into the video where I test in a noisy coffee shop full of people plus I have two of my cousins at my table right in front of me talking. There are time stamps in the video Description box. Check it out!
Great mic quality indeed with amazing noise cancelation. There are "cheaper" versions, but if you want all the nice goodies, the price of $429 is very high. A lot more expensive versus Jabra for example. Anyway, thanks for the nice review Danny. Appreciate it as always!

@@jamesbroadfoot5269 Great question! I wrote a blog that includes a matrix: calloneinc.com/discovering-the-epos-impact-1000-series-the-best-noise-canceling-mic-in-business-headsets/
Danny, THis headset is absolutely amazing. I dare any other manufacturer to put their usp against this .... Consistently HIFI voice quality. I have never experienced that with so many different scenarios. The sitting lawn mower test was excellent. (Great video, too). Hard to beat. That might be the one! I wish it was over ear instead of on ear. I can't wear on ear for too long. Also, I wish the mic was retractable so I could wear this on the street rather than only for calls. #Dangit!
A suggestion - alot of the time when on calls, one isn't speaking and it's just the background noise. Would you consider waiting three beats after you finish speaking so that we can hear how the headset handles the background noise without the wearing speaking?
Great suggestion. I do pause however maybe we keep those silenced moments a little longer. This particular mic actually blocks almost 100% of the noise when I am not speaking.
Thanks Danny, agree best Bluetooth headset for me in terms of noise canceling and voice quality. it has Super Wideband. others maybe be able to cancel noise but at the expense of voice quality like sounding tinny. but not epos. I think the dect epos sdw 5000 also has the same noise and voice quality.

This is an incredible headset performance, great sound quality and unbelievable background noise suppression! Would you recommend EPOS impact 1000 over Orosound Tilde Pro? The latter has been recommended by a well-known headset channel here in RU-vid but I strongly believe they are biased towards the Tilde Pro, even though the performance is terrible from other reviews I have watched. The same channel has flooded reddit with their biased recommendation of Tilde pro, which is a shame. I'd also like to know if the earcup can be replaced, and if the replacement can be bought from the manufacturer/where to buy it from . I've spent a long time searching for a replacement earcup for it but I was unable to find any. If the earcup cannot be replaced, I'm afraid that's going to be a deal breaker, even though the headset ticks all check boxes for me. I will be looking forward to your reply and I'd appreciate if you do. Thanks a lot.
Hi Samuel! Thanks for watching and supporting our channel! Appreciate the information you've provided. I tested the Orosound Tilde Pro. My buddies at Headset Advisor sent them to me to test. Here's the video link ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KFVfRIM27V0.htmlsi=uCnjR5xjjyY_-jgF They performed well. As I mentioned in the video, they are not certified for the major platforms like Microsoft, Zoom, Google or Cisco. Our company primarily supports Large Enterprise clients who require certified devices. I'm aware clients come in all shapes and sizes and some are ok using non-certified options. While I feel the Orosound has a strong performing noise canceling mic, if you compare the voice/audio clarity of the EPOS Impact 1000 mic and Orosound, I feel the Impact 1000 sounds more clear. That's my opinion. I'll check with Orosound and Headset Advisors to see if they can send me an updated version. I believe they have made hardware changes from the original version I have. I'll keep you posted.
Hi Dave! Yes. To date, the EPOS Impact 1000 have the best performing mics across multiple environments. Appreciate you watching and supporting our channel!
To me the mic sounds very flat and slightly muffled, even when there's no noise to cancel. The noise cancellation is phenomenal. But what if you're a remote worker in a quiet environment? I have yet to find a good headset with ANC (ears) that has a clear mic. Guess I'll go with a standalone mic.
Appreciate you watching and supporting our channel! I have a dedicated home office that is quiet. Hey Danny! Long time lurker here... thanks to your videos I've purchased several Jabras but now I need help. My wife found a job so of course that's my excuse to give her my "old" jabra Evolve 65 Flex and I'm thinking on purchasing the EPOS Impact 1000 with ANC for me. My situation is that I mostly work from home and we're expecting our first baby. I don't have a dedicated working space and will work next to LOTS of kitchen and crying noises so I need to be able to concentrate and people not listening to the mayhem around me. My jabra flex mic blocks noise beautifully but doesn't have good enough ANC to block sound for me. Do you think that the EPOS 1000 would be the way to go? Do they block sound for me and not only people on the other side of the line better than the flex? Thanks in advance!
Hello! Thank you so much for watching and supporting our channel! Truly appreciate it! To date, the EPOS Impact 1000 Series has the best noise-canceling microphone I’ve tested. My list of videos includes a trip to a daycare where I will test multiple headsets against real babies and children! Stay tuned. When it comes to ANC, there is standar, hybrid, and adaptive. The EPOS Impact 1000 ANC models use Adaptive ANC. Here's a detailed breakdown of how Adaptive ANC works and the scenarios where it excels: How Adaptive ANC Works Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is a more advanced form of traditional ANC found in headsets. Here's how it operates: Environmental Monitoring: Tiny microphones on the outside of the headset constantly analyze the ambient noise around you. Intelligent Analysis: The headset's processor rapidly analyzes the collected noise patterns, identifying frequencies and intensities of various noise types. Real-Time Adjustment: Unlike standard ANC, which offers a fixed level of noise reduction, Adaptive ANC continuously modifies its noise-canceling signal. This adaptation allows it to more effectively and accurately target the specific sound frequencies of the changing noise around you. Optimized Output: The headset generates an anti-noise wave that is tailored to precisely counter the environmental sound profile detected in real-time. Advantages of Adaptive ANC: Dynamic Response: Handles fluctuations in background noise far better than standard ANC. For example, a sudden roar of traffic won't overwhelm the noise-canceling abilities of the headset. Efficiency: Adaptive ANC tailors the noise-cancellation output, which can contribute to improved battery life on your headset. Leakage Compensation: Some advanced Adaptive ANC systems even monitor for tiny changes in how a headphone sits in your ear, adjusting to eliminate sound leakage that could diminish performance. Best Use Cases for Adaptive ANC Adaptive ANC shines in the following scenarios: Unpredictable Noise: Environments with constantly changing and varying noise levels, like busy streets, noisy offices, or cafes. Commutes: Whether on a train, a bus, or even a plane, Adaptive ANC effectively mitigates noise that can distract or interfere with your listening. Focus and Work: Great for blocking out distracting noise to boost concentration in settings where variable interruptions might occur. Sound Sensitivity: People sensitive to certain sounds can find great comfort as Adaptive ANC adjusts to filter those specific frequencies that may cause distress. Based on my tests, no ANC blocks 100% of noise. However, it is better than not having it. Especially with loud children. I hope this helps.
Man, I wish Sennheiser would make something to compete with the Free 60. Free 60's are disappointing. :( I have 2 SDW 5066, one for home and office. Amazing headset, long range, just not comfortable. Besides the range advantage, how do these switch back and forth from mobile to desktop? If you are on the computer and get a cell call does it kinds go haywire? The 5066 base really handles that stuff well.
Hi Michael! I keep meaning to create demo videos showing the behavior of the various headsets when paired with a computer and mobile device. The challenge is that it's based on my setup. For example, our company pays for Zoom Workplace, but I also use free versions of Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Google Chat, Webex, and WhatsApp. I also have an iPhone with all those apps and typically take calls/video meetings from those apps on my phone. The funny thing is, I rarely take a mobile call from my cell number. Based on my tests, the behavior differs depending on the headset brand/model. For example, some headsets have stronger connections with mobile phones than computers. This means that mobile phone notifications and activity take precedence in the headset vs the computer, and some headsets are the opposite. The computer takes precedence over the mobile device. Sometimes, if you have a Teams client running, that takes precedence over anything. I can almost create an entire channel dedicated to those behaviors. I'll see what I can do moving forward. Appreciate you watching and supporting our channel!
@@CallOneInc thanks for the reply!! Great stuff! For me I don't do much zoom, but I do have multiple crms with VoIP numbers. So I have the mobile apps for the different crms on my phone that I can make outbound VoIP calls with from my phone but when calls come in I have them forwarded to my Verizon number. So for outbound calls I'm mostly doing it from the desktop, and the various apps on my phone but for inbound calls they are mostly forwarded to my cell. So, it's very common for me to be on an outbound VoIP call on my computer and then my cell phone ring.

I don't like the way your voice sounds like there's a pillow over it when the noise cancellation is activated. Shouldn't this be avoidable by placing the mic closer to the mouth? This model does not seem to allow such adjustment.
Thank you so much for sharing your feedback. The ideal mic boom placement is two fingertip width from the corner of your mouth. The EPOS Impact 1000 Series boom arm has some flexibility and can be bent to position mic closer to your mouth.
@@CallOneInc Hello! Very interesting - why is the optimal placement not in front of the lips? With a fluffer around the mic there won't be "P-problems", right?
Which EPOS 1000 series do you recommend? I do not need to cancel noise for myself but mainly for the person on the other end of the phone. Can you supply a link to purchase from also? I’m having a hard time finding one for sale. Also what is the difference in certified for ms team and not? I use teams for some meetings but mainly call patients. I’ve been researching for days and need to order asap!
Hi Hannah! Great question and thank you so much for watching. I wrote a blog that lists all available models and differences. The primary difference between the UC and Teams certified variants is the inclusion of a dedicated "Teams" button that provides functions when in Teams environment like bringing the Teams client to forefront, accessing your messages, and joining Teams meeting. Can you request to test the impact 1060 that has ANC ? I am really confused what to choose, for a home desk office where there is no private space, in an open living room where there is “traffic” like child, cats, television or chats. I am having on the list also jabra evolve 75 second edition ( attention, this is not evolve2 ) and evolve2 65 flex but I do not know which one is better.
I recently received the EPOS Impact 1061 ANC. Here’s a blog a wrote recently sharing the differences between the EPOS Impact 1000 Series calloneinc.com/discovering-the-epos-impact-1000-series-the-best-noise-canceling-mic-in-business-headsets/ I’m putting it through its paces and hope to share a demo video soon. Are you looking for a strong performing Noise Cancelling microphone so people you are speaking with can’t hear the background noise and ANC speakers to help you suppress the background noise around you?
@@Aleex7315 based on my tests of the Evolve 75, Evolve2 65 Flex, and preliminary testing with the EPOS Impact 1061 ANC, the EPOS performed stronger with ANC and microphone. (ANC tests so far have been with TV and loud music playing) Hope this helps. I use the Evolve2 65 Flex because of its portability and comfort. The ANC speakers are ok. And the NC mic performance has been good. Especially when used in Zoom and Teams meetings because you can enable additional noise suppression with those platforms. If price is a limiting factor, you may also want to look at the Jabra Evolve2 55. I’m currently working on a blog and video comparing it with the Poly Voyager Focus 2. But hands down, the EPOS Impact 1000 series has the best NC microphone performance in all environments I’ve tested it in.

For evolve2 65 flex I saw different comments from people that in the Wind is not so good and the people from the other line did not head them well

How was the noise csncelling for you. I am very very sensitive to sound and work in a very loud office. What would the best headphone to csncel noise for myself and people on teams calls with me?
Thanks for watching and asking this question. Hearing is subjective. There are variants of the EPOS Impact 1000 Series that have Active Noise Canceling (ANC) Speakers. The ANC variants perform well. However, NO ANC headset/headphones I've tested suppress 100% of background noise. Interestingly, especially voices. These do a fair job. The new Logitech Zone Wireless 2 performs well with ANC. Earbuds like Jabra Evolve2 Buds also perform well with ANC but have subpar microphone performance in noisy environments. If you want a great NC mic with good ANC speakers, the EPOS Impact 1061T ANC is a great option.
Thanks for watching and your question. It can be confusing considering EPOS has several IMPACT 1000 models. I actually have two models. The Impact 1061 and Impact 1061T ANC. Why I feel like 55 evolve 2 has better mic then 65 flex ? I am also considering impact 1000 between 3 of these which one would you suggest, my priorities are comfort and mic noise cancellation
@cancihan2037 ooh that’s tough. Currently, based on my tests, the EPOS Impact 1000 has the better mic compared to the Evolve2 55 and 65 Flex. And yes, the Evolve2 55 based on my tests, has a better mic than the Evolve2 65 Flex. The Evolve2 65 is the most comfortable of the three with the Evolve2 55 a close second based on my personal preference. So if comfort and strong NC mic is what you’re looking for, then the Evolve2 55 would be my suggestion. However, it’s entirely up to you.

Hi tech_rn! Can you please clarify? Do you mean over-the-ear as in an over-the-ear hook? Or, are you referring to a circumaural style that completely covers the ear? The answer is, NO, to both. Hi Max, The EPOS Sales Engineer responded: There are no settings specific to the microphone that can be changed. Not with Windows audio settings or EPOS connect. Granted there may be some thirds party software out there where you can make adjustments in a ln app but not on the hardware itself. Let me know if you have other questions.
How do you feel about how the Impact 1000 compares to the Orosound Tilde Pro (S+ and C+). The Orosound Tilde Pro (S+ and C+) are what I have - the over-ear and on-ear. Do you think it is worthwhile to upgrade to the Impact 1000 from the Orosound Tilde Pro? I saw your previous review - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KFVfRIM27V0.html
That's a great question, I've had challenges with pairing the Orosound Tilde Pro with the dongle Orosound provided as well as issues getting the software to recognize the headset is connected. So I haven't done a side by side comparison with the new Orosound dongle, and firmware updates. I'm hoping to at some point. What is your use case? What voice/video/UC platforms and applications are you using? e.g Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, Cisco Jabber, Webex, RingCentral, 8x8, etc. What environment/s do you work in? e.g. quiet home office, noisy open office, coffee shop, other?
@@CallOneInc My use case: Platforms and applications I'm using: Mainly Teams (95% of the time), followed by Zoom and probably Google Meet, and SIP Softphones. The different environments I work in is a Noisy open office, sometimes at the airport on the go, or sometimes in a quiet home office. So in essence, the connectivity and pairing of the EPOS Impact 1000 is more seamless? I think the advantages of the Orosound Tilde Pro is that you have the flexibility of switching out the ear-pads between over-ear and on-ear. I wonder if the EPOS Impact 1000 has any options or SKUs for an over-ear. Do you feel that EPOS Impact 1000 would improve with an over-ear design?
