Hey so I received this with my order of the TR80 the other day, but on the website when you’re choosing mounting options it still shows the older dd1 mounting option. So when I received it I didn’t know what I had and went back and forth with support about this (probably being kind of a dick)and some other parts I thought I was missing but was just using an old manual with different parts(new manual should be listed first) so I can only recommend you guys change the product images on the site. Sorry for the support trouble
Trak Racer, when will this be available in the UK? Please keep sending Kyle your products, he does an awesome job. I purchased the TR160 because of this guy 💪👍
I have the old mount he had in this video with my dd1 which i had to purchase extra obviously is this new one much better to warrant an upgrade? thanks
Thanks for the video Kyle 🙂 I am currently building/buying the parts for my first ever Rig and just bought the TR120 with TR-One Front Mount, but am in two minds between Front Mounting and Side Mounting my Wheel Base..... do you think, with the way it's packaged that the Black "Spacers" for Side Mounting come standard in the basic TR-One Box? i.e. do you think the base TR-One comes with the Side Spacers and only if you want to Front Mount or Base Plate Mount, then they are 2 separate other Options to purchase? Cheers in advance, Don, Perth WA (Dons Shed and Xplor Overland).... p.s. I've Subscribed 😀
So, just ordered and received my tr120. I am missing a ton of hardware. Why the bags aren't numbered or labeled or show the contents is baffling to me. So now I will have to disassemble everything I have built so far to tell Track Racer exactly what I'm missing or I fear they won't send me any replacements. Such a headache
hey mate! have you contacted Trakracer? normaly if I've had any issues they've been fantastic with helping out to resolve things! i remember when I built my TR160 I was the same because I was using different sizes in different areas and it threw everything outta whack until I took another look through everything and went through individual bolts. :) but like I said, any issues I've had have always been fixed up pretty painlessly
@@KyleSpoor I've sent them a request for assistance. Just waiting for a response. I wish my issue was as simple as that. I'm short a handful of t-nuts. My CSL DD mount you reviewed came with 2 sizes of bolts but the bolt counts were wrong. No t-nuts for the DD either. The only other thing I can think of is that they have refined the amount of hardware recommended to securely fasten everything, but the instructions haven't been updated.
@@Dr.Faceman Got same problem, lots of different things missing, also 12 bolts that should be 25mm are all short as came 20mm. My DD pro doesn't even fit with the plates on? Im wondering if aluminium profile sent is too long? T nuts supplied with DD pro are 6mm where this is designed for 8mm. Because i cant use the plates these bolts are now too long. Supposed to be compatible, its no where near if you aren't provided with the correct equipment. What should have been a fun weekend has turned in to a frustrating one, leaves a sour taste. The manual is crap too and incorrect, that says use 4 plates! even if i could fit it in with 4 plates the bolts would then be too short! Premium cockpit my arse.
@@mark4993 Sorry to hear that. There is an option on their site to request support via email and it absolutely saved what could have been an overwhelmingly negative experience. I tore the entire rig down and counted exactly (by the instructions) what was missing. None of my measuring tapes showed mm so I had to bust out the slide caliper and measure every bolt. I spoke with Edvin and he personally took down my missing parts and shipped the missing hardware the next day. I wish it had been overnight, but it got here either way. I had the same issues with the instructions saying one thing, but in reality being completely wrong. The CSL DD mount only needed 1 plate per side. I am assuming that the included CSL DD mount instructions were copy/pasted from the wider profile TR160 and not edited.
Hey mate! You may need to grab some spacers to go in between the mount and the wheel base. I think Trakracer have them on the website or you can get them from your local hardware store ☺️
@@KyleSpoordid you resolve this? Got my rig through, TR80, with the TR one mount and recline seat, frustratingly, they have delivered part 2 and part 3 of the TR80 and I can't commence the build until I receive part 1. Order is supposedly fulfilled but have messaged them. In the meantime I am trying to get as much as I can built. Not sure of the mounting. I have a CSL DD, do I need spacers in addition to the 4 plates or will the 4 plates be fine?
Did you use M6 that fits the fanatec t nuts.. or use other t nuts? The ones coming with the RIG are not steady in my GT DD pro wheelbase so using the Fanatec originals seems the only option?
I purchased this for my prime lite and was 2cm sort of uprights each side so I purchased M8 washers and M8x70mm bolts and used 25 washers per bolt to attach it’s absolutely rock solid side mounts are definitely better rigidity
Perfect vid dude, exactly what I wanted to see before purchase, the gen 1 was a mission to put together if ya on your own. Production quality 👌 top work mate, first vid I've seen of yours but worthy of a subscribe 🤙🏁
I’m 199cm and it’s perfect! You have to bring the side mount parts to the very top of the tr160 uprights to make sure you have enough space but it feels really good to me!
@@KyleSpoor First, thank you very much for responding, thats awesome! What about the seat profiles, have you lowered the seat too? Currently the uprights are my biggest concern, theyre 780mm and the bottom profiles are 160mm, that means they uprights "only" provide 620mm in height.
Oh dude, anytime! I haven’t personally changed the height of the seat, I thought about it but didn’t feel like I needed the extra headaches haha. So far I haven’t had issues with the heights of things and I find it pretty comfortable 😄
Hey mate! I used some left over bolts I had from building my rig! I slotted T nuts into the CSL DD and then did some trial and error with different bolt sizes 😄
Well done! It seems that this cannot be purchased for those of us in the States. I really disliked the Trak Racer DD mount, so I bought the SIMCORE CSL DD mount for the TR160 and it is also fantastic. I do love the red anodized parts!
Ahhh gotcha! I’m not sure what availability’s like in the US but I’ve been using this mount for the last month and I’m genuinely so impressed with how good it is! Super solid and it makes the sim look so much nicer!
Hey dude! I’m not 100% sure of what the pros and cons are to be honest! I have mine mounted from both sides and it’s been perfect! I’ve also seen quite a few people use the table mount for the CSL DD and it seems to be quite stable. I assume it would just depend on what mounting position best suits you 😄 like I said I have mine side mounted and it’s been perfect!
@@KyleSpoor I did some more research but all I got was the angle adjustment to better suit the driving position, but thats about it and the rest is beauty. There's not many options here in Thailand to choose from, most are table configuration. Though there are those front and side mounting available as options, but I may not know other benefits of it.
Ahhh gotcha! To be honest with you I think whatever suits your setup and whatever you can get your hands on will suit! I’d go with what ever is available to you! I don’t think there would be many pro or con differences if you have limited options 😄
@@KyleSpoor I mean the colour screen was crisp but this just feels a bit more relaxed. Also this style you're doing is amazing mate, a real increase in the quality. Keep up the fantastic work
