I got a box of their older design a couple of years ago to try, they were more of a squared type and had the numbers and colour names on the ends. I had the same problem with the caps and I rarely use them because of the effort needed to wrestle the tops off.

That’s crazy how most of their products have lids that are pretty much super glued shut 😂 you’d think they’d take it on board and fix it haha

Hehe Ik this is a lil late, but I’ve had no problem with these markers. If you twist the cap at the same time as pulling, it comes off easily (at least for me). I think you had a specifically stiff batch, because as I said before, I had no problem with removing the caps. Also, the boxes aren’t meant to clip strongly, just enough so you can stack them. Hope this helps :)

Hullo Emily, I have been a Copic marker user for years. Ohuhu’s we’re the budget brand for “kids” now Ohuhu markers are my most recommended markers! The prices are fantastic and they offer replacement nibs, ink refills, and individual markers for sale too! You should never “stick” inferior art supplies to kids! I believe that there is no greater way to discourage a person from doing artworks then giving them bad or inferior supplies! This truly applies to anyone creating art, even those trying to create art for the first time! Buy good supplies, maybe not the best or higher price supplies but don’t Just dump cheap stuff on kids or first time users. Spectrum noir is the other brand that sells markers with trays, I think that’s who you were thinking of, marker wise. Thank you for sharing this video with us.

Ahhh yes spectrum noir that’s the one! 😄 I knew I’d seen them before! Hehe by kids I meant infants 3-5 , these markers would be perfect for them scribbling on paper and …. Walls much to parents dislike haha 😂

I’ve had the alcohol markers set for a while I got them from B&M as I wanted to try alcohol markers. Some are very streaky but don’t know if that’s because I’m not experienced but some also fade very quickly which as it’s a closed sketchbook I wasn’t expecting even though I know markers aren’t lightfast.

A tip for hard to open caps - wrap rubber bands around cap and body to give your hands some grip. Though really those caps looked really tight!

Oh yeah Decotime markers … the rough opening & some dry markers is a common problem with every kind. They sell them here in Belgium (and the Netherlands) in the ‘action’ a cheap store. I had a huge collection but actually almost never used them, I just put them in a box to donate on Tuesday for a place where they do art therapy. Deco time is a brand with a wide variety of cheap art supplies, ps never buy their acrylic paints

Yeah I’ve had a couple mention that their other products are terribly designed 😳 hehe I will make sure to give those acrylic markers a miss 😂 maybe in the future their products will improve !

They do these in b&m, they're in bigger sets there and there are some water based versions too. Also bro, I'd love for you to waste £1 on some really bad felt tip pens and see if you can make some decent art out of them 😏

Ahhh I’ve not seen them , then again I only looked for milka chocolate in B&m 😂 I’ll nip to pound land and see if I can find some , they’ll probs run out after 2 strokes 🤣

Some of their stuff is pretty good but they're very hit and miss. The same brand do small monochrome sets of twin tips with water based ink on one end and a similar metallic felt tip on the other and I love them for basic doodling time. I have the red, blue, green and neutral sets of those. They're still clearly cheap but fun and worth it!

I think its really not fair to the product if you don't use it with the proper paper. I mean, is this regular sketching paper or something like that? It looks and sounds very rough. It also seems to suck up the ink like crazy. Alcohol markers should be used on smooth paper. Like Bristol smooth for example. Otherwise even the best alcohol markers will perform like crap.
