The "wallpaper" textile print is called TOILE (pronounced twall). I like when you can find fun pop culture prints in toile. I found a Star Trek toile pillow. One of those things you really have to look at to notice the geek factor. 😆

Toile de Jouy. Jouy en Josas, a village near Paris is where it’s originally from. They have a fantastic, cute museum there.

Hannah, nicely done as always. Very upscale store. I would say it's comparable to Nordstrom, but they went out of business where I live. Those chocolates looked beyond delectable. Awesome Hannah, anyone who manages a successful tour of Selfridges deserves a medal, fascinating. When I was in London some years ago, I used to go to Selfridges a lot. Loved the food hall. How do you go unnoticed in most shops with your camera??? *I've tried this, and security always tells me to stop filming (go pro or phone) * London might have the greatest number of CCTV per 1000 people in the world, but most places are not camera friendly, i find NY to be more relaxed in that sense.

Hannah! for candles, we moved to an electric candle warmer, to enjoy the scent without worrying about forgetting the candle. You can get smart ones, or ones connected to smart plugs to turn on and off at specific times.

The fabric you where curious about is called toile and has been a staple of the house of Dior since the 40’s all thought that version was introduced under Maria Grazia Chiuri.

Another great Video, as ever Hannah. As for Diffusers, I can heartily recomend Dr Vranjes. They are not cheap, but powerful and last well. They have a website and has some great info, like what size diffusers you need for different sized rooms. The refills are also considerably cheaper if you already have a diffuser. I pushed the boat out with a Ginori 1735 L' Ammazone Orange diffuser (horribly expensive) from Harrods and it not only looks really stylish and different but smells great with a Dr Vranjes refill. Worth every penny. 😊

I've been meaning to compliment your makeup since you returned from your August hiatus -- looks really nice (and now I know it's LM"s tinted moisturizer!) Your stores have the BEST shopping!! Thank you for the wonderful tour of Selfridge & Co department store and the sumptuous array pf product on offer, designer label and otherwise. The stunning details you brought into this vlog are fascinating and the whole subject of department stores brings on a rush of nostalgic emotion. Galen Weston Jr is prominent in the grocery business here in Canada. The designer bags are outstanding. The laser leather cut work catches the eye. I'm loving the deep clay colour. That old school pharmacy look is really fun! The thought of you riding an "e" scooter on the busy streets of London terrifies me, though. All in all a very impressive store! In answer to your title question, I think the answer is a resounding yes. A survivor amongst the dearth of department stores. Think of all those that no longer with us. Incidentally, us traditionalist men do still wear ties! Purchased a new one (silk, of course!) only last week. There is also, of course, the cravat, which us traditionalists still like to wear!

The fabric you liked is called Toile de Jouy. Toile usually means canvas, but it literally means 'fabric from Jouy', a town in France.

I had to wait until i returned from my trip to London before watching your latest vlog masterpiece , and while i was there i got an email regarding the opening of The Battersea Power Station to the public on October 14th , i knew i was going to miss this , the email i got said it was to be a shoppers paradise , it says there will be shops from Ralph Lauren and Mulberry and many others , i was wondering if you had any plans to go and film there , it would be different from what you have done before ? Love Gucci beauty!! The lip product formulas and shades are the best and the packaging makes them even better. The mascara and eyebrow pencils are fab. Penhaligon's has so many amazing fragrances, Changing Constance from the Portraits Collection is yum. Empressa, The Favourite, Vaara for women. For men, just ordered Endymion Concentre for my husband, also Sartorial and Blenheim Bouquet. Loving your videos :)

OMG I just discovered your channel and this video is the best one I ever seen from shopping blogs ever it’s so different everybody go to Harold’s it’s kind of boring everybody shows the class section in Louis Vuitton YSL but you showed brands that nobody heard of maybe and that’s why made it so much interest think and way more elevated than all the other movies the older RU-vidrs do please come back there in full on the winter I’m dying to see what they have to offer and of course can wait for the decorations it’s amazing please more of these show different sides of London and different stores than anybody else is showing with still showing the luxury brands but on other locations with other brands included love it❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Hannah so glad you're back pretty regularly. now We missed you when you took a break for Summer. I love Selfridges!! Maybe you could do a walk around Carnaby St not far from Selfridges... I'd love to hear you commentary as you toured the stores, there and maybe the Arcade or New Bond St that's fun! One of My fav places in Carnaby is the rather new Red Wing Boot store for women, which features their exclusive Heritage Collection. And then the men's store around the corner. I think I love Selfridges even more than Harrods. When I visit London I always stay in the west end close to Oxford Street so I always make a point to go to Selfridges and M and S. I can’t wait to see how everything looks this Christmas when I am back again for another visit.

The print you love is Toile de Jouy, an 18th Century print style that is very en vogue right now. This was such a fun vlog, Hannah 💕 By the way, I'm not sure whether they are sold in the UK, but Voluspa have some lovely diffusers and they are around the $30 mark, I think. I highly recommend them x

I live my life here in Britain in two countries. One country is this land I hear on the radio or see on tv (on catch up as I packed in my tv so I don't pay the BBC tax ). In this Britain,we,us the people of Britain are all weeping as we cant pay our bills,we can't afford to buy food,we can't afford to heat our homes. We are all sad and miserable. And yes,the supermarket shelves are empty. But the other country I live in,the Britain I can see,touch and smell it's full of happy,laughing people,well laughing at least. All the cafes and other places of refreshment are packed. The coffee shops are crowded. The stores are the Aladdin's cave of prosperity they always were. Most people at the checkout have loaded trolleys. However by next spring,after a winter of no heating and power shutdowns we probably will all be the first scenario. Incidentally,on my radio I hear that there are GOING to be 3 hour electricity shutdowns to ration the electric I don't know why. Not there might be but there are going to be. So I've been prepping to cope with it. I never thought I'd be a Doomsday Prepper!

When I was younger in the late 70,s early 80's I used to buy most of my clothes from miss Selfridge in Selfridge's.... The prices weren't too expensive and they were lovely.!!!

Evening Hannah. I love the Dior bags ... never owned one, but it's nice to dream. I would NEVER spend a fortune on a designer bag again after loosing a 'real' Gucci bag years ago. I moved home and it vanished! I think it was mistakenly put in the 'charity' moving box... I just hope the charity shop sold it for a really good price, not a fake... I miss her so much, my Gucci was gorgeous.
