Honestly the fact this game as Charlie says, completely accomplishes the COD experience of being a decent no brainer FPS to have fun, but doesn't cost ANY money and only takes 30 GB to download, makes it instantly a better deal than buying COD only for MP
@@-pROvAKSo a different TTK is what makes this game not satisfy the cod itch despite almost every cod having a different TTK? Yall jus wanna hate, its free, no sbmm, its not going anywhere stop being bitter. Plenty of people are comparing it to cod so sorry but clearly it is reminiscent🤷♀️
its the lack of SBMM. There was a time COD didnt have it, and then it slowly seeped in over time and is probably at its strictest right now. Takes all the variation out of the games.
@@peterk.2108 sure it does lol did you forget that every map the recent cod launched with is from mw2 (2009) that and bo2 are the games people are most nostalgic about
I feel like CoD players have gotten so used to a formula that they've forgotten how to give things a chance and have fun. The fact that this game has no SBMM or EOMM is absolutely insane and it shows in the gameplay. Dont fall victim to what Activision wants you to
Agree 100%. People write it off immediately bcus it’s not exactly like the current cod. They’re missing the point. It’s good enough, that combined with no sbmm/eomm makes it good. It’s feels good not being completely stressed out after a gaming session.
Absolutely no sbmm sounds a bit over exaggerated. Old cod titles also had sbmm. Unless there is an open server browser, I highly doubt it has ZERO sbmm.
@@threedog27 old cod games may have had sbmm but it was not a refined system back then so we really didn't feel it. Regardless, CoD uses EOMM (engagement optimized matchmaking) which is a vile system purely for popularity
@@saiko.psychiatry sure thats what I wanted to say. Old Cod titles had some kind of sbmm. Like all other matchmaking based pvp games. It just wasnt that restricting or intrusive. Today its almost unplayable. For me personally, modern sbmm titles are way to intrusive, I dont play them for the sake of my mental well being.
Tesla model 3 with tax incentive and maybe even your state could give you back some money can get it under 35k. Where in 2019 it was around 45k in today's money.
This being free is better than buying the same 70 dollar multiplayer every year. Atleast until they actually bother to try with zombies and campaigns again but it's just been 70 dollar multiplayer for years now
the crazy part is they dont even care about multiplayer anymore. its all about warzone now and that shit is free so you just end up with some $70 kick me sign on your back😂
Yea, honestly zombies is the only reason I still care about cod, but the last 2 have absolutely sucked. If this next black ops game has trash zombies, I'm done with the series. We already have an ending with b04 for zombies, so if they can't make a good sequel to cold war then ima just let it go
@colepwyckoff zombies has always been my favorite since WaW and even cold war zombies was alright I was just massively disappointed all the maps were locations from the campaign which is what they did in world at war at the time thats fine but damn we've had crazy maps now and they just save money by recycling the campaign locations still despite making billions every month
@@DirtyNinez ok maybe they're not that bad but they're kinda underwhealming compare to guns like ACR or MP7, also sniper is kinda op right now , shot them 5 times and they're barely flinch.
Yeah, on top of that, getting hitmarks that don't actually count is so frustrating. But hey, it's ubisoft, after all. We will see after launch if they fix it.
Thanks for sharing this info- kind of important. I don't wanna waste my time with the game if it'll end in me being frustrated all the time. Hope they change that.
@@Clogmonger Yeah my crew streamed it for the first day, in beta it had all the same issues it still has over a year later... Between the unnecessary grindfest of the longest battle pass in history, the grind to get mediocre customization.... The gameplay itself is okay, but everyone spams the character to see through walls so they have it up 24/7. Literally wall hacks are a normality. Ran into our first hacker day 2, not too ego stroke but our group has been formidable at many FPS games, being Preds in Apex, Diamond in Finals, Plat+ in CoD, we've been around but we stick to Planetside and find that more enjoyable than XDefiant... but a player running into a group of 4 and 1 tapping each one with an AR is nutty. The clientside hitreg is just an initial issue.
@@LoopsPlsWe both know rooting for Activision is not even slightly better than Ubisoft. Both are garbage companies, but you are paying $70 per year to Activision, while you just play for free a game that will get better overtime (hopefully)
There’s been so many games like this. If anything, Call of Duty is more likely to die because of mismanagement (look at what Microsoft did to Halo after Bungie left) rather than because a better alternative exists.
While I won't deny Microsoft has fumbled the Halo IP Bungie was kind of done with Halo after 3. They had very little interest in continuing the series without pressure from Microsoft. All this to say that even if Bungie had stuck around it's likely the Halo series still would have seen a decline in quality as it became more and more apparent how disinterested Bungie were with the IP.
Every time he jumped using a shotgun the spread of the reticle increased significantly… That’s probably why he was doing such abysmal damage with them, he never stopped jumping.
I’m mainly happy that The Division 2 is being shown off in this game, which suggests the possibility of the third game sometime soon since it’s been so long and Watchdogs already had a third game
As long as the guns stay as free unlocks I'll be willing to play. One of the reasons I dropped COD was the FOMO over guns they'd stick in the battle pass.
Some ppl want killstreaks and if they do. They should give the echelon faction uav and other intel. Instead of the see-through walls bs. I think if they tie killstreaks like a predator missile or something similar and not as op to the characters it would be good.
The thing about CoD is that the fanbase lives and dies by cod, even if the fans hate the new games and constantly complain about them, they still play it
Personally I really like this game the movement goes crazy you can literally tap strafe. anyone complaining about ttk just get better it’s a skill issue lmaoo
Xdefiant and cod are both mindless average shooters that pretty much have the same experience to offer except xdefiant is free, doesn't have skill based matchmaking, and it doesn't take up 250 gigabytes of storage. I think the winner is clear 😂
Yeah it’s the perfect “I just wanna shoot stuff” game. Nothing groundbreaking and that’s fine. Cod has a free to play monetization system in a 70$ game and I will not support that. The whole point of having paid micro transactions is to maintain a free game, since there’s no upfront cost. Cod is unbelievably greedy.
this title being uPlay exclusive is probably enough to prevent a good portion of the potential player-base from playing it, the only hope I think this game has is if it releases on steam
Some things feel a little too OP in this game but it balances itself out by having other things be OP as well. I think the fire guy needs a nerf though😂 amount of times I died to the fire ability because I was left with 2 HP is absurd.
@@EinfachFredhaftGaming Yeah well the bar was never there when you realize the game is free, call of duty isn't. Been playing call of duty since COD4 and this itched a scratch for me that hasn't been reached since BO2. So it's doing something right, only complaint is netcode, something COD also struggles with. Honest rare Ubisoft W. Doesn't mean the game won't be dead in 6 months though lol.
@@thenameless24they’re already doing seasons. This launch is: preseason. With a roadmap for what to expect in seasons 1 2 3 4. You can find it on the website.
Huh? List the ten games cause idk when those released. Multiplayer is a competitor to COD and with the last few releases the people who typically spend $70 annually might reconsider if they only like multiplayer.
*guy says his opinion about the game* The comments: Name some of them. Source? He said he thinks so he clearly doesn't know what he's talking about. Like, dude just said that this GPS doesn't look all that special and doesn't forsee a long future for it
Let's be honest It'll live cus it's a Ubisoft shooter and fans of COD or the genre fits the short attention span and dopamine hit. If else it'll be another game like shatterline, good game dead playerbase.
The game has a lot of stuff that needs to be added and also reworked like abilities i find to be little broken and sometimes unfair i also feel weapon balancing needs to happen because some weapons are clearly just better in every way also having the maps we got only like 3 of them are made well i think not having TDM is mistake also another mistake is not having a bear bones mode so its zero abilities and just guns and thats all i have played the game alot and almost have my pistol to gold so i have had experience in the game but as long as they dont make it pay to play or win its doing great for free game all they gotta do now is listen to the community another thing is having probably prestige or some type of lvl system that makes you wanna grind lvls but rn i give it 7.5 out 10 just because its new and needs work to be done before becomes a real cod killer but its all around great
I understand gameplay will always be a priority but why every western game's character design looks like shit, you cant even sell decent skins cause it looks like crap, specially for a f2p game.
I doubt it’s a cod killer because no game lasts and stays popular long enough before people just go back to other games but in terms of quality it’s definitely better than current cods
