For me the 993 is the sweet spot. Not overly squishy like a lot of modern shoes, not a hot shoe and seems to give my feet a light hug. I get no fatigue wearing these at all and they’re that perfect balance of subtle and wearable with almost anything.
Ngl I been on this New Balance trend. While this is my first time doing a collection on New Balance I usually buy running shoes all the time for working out. Even the Gel Kayanos 14 back in the late 2000’s. So far the 990 V6 are the most comfortable with the 990 V3 tied with 9060 even though fit and feel different.crazy how now you can throw pig suede and leather into a running shoe that used to be mostly mesh and recycled material.
I got my eye on the purple pair for sure. I already have the JFG Sage 993, so it's a little too similar for me but the green is still clean nonetheless.
993 is the most comfortable NB imo. I wasn't super impressed with the 990v6. The 992 fits the best for me though and has the best looks. Think overall the best package is the 993. I got the Chives, but unfortunately my pair had some wonky panels sewn in badly and NB wouldn't offer much for it - quite disappointing. On the fence if I keep them now but the cw is excellent.
Good review on both pairs. I think that the interstellar pair may get discounted at some retailers and I’ll be able to pick them up then, at least I hope they do lol 😅. I got the chive pair and can’t wait to wear them on my Paris vacation next month. ✌️
@@ClownHouseProduction everyone's foot is different but for me, the toebox is shorter and slightly wider on the 993. The toebox is longer and slightly more narrow on the v6 in my opinion. I can half size down on v6 and still not too narrow. I'd say only go TTS on v6 if you have wide feet. But a lot of people go half size down on all the Made models and wear the same half size down in v6. I just find it runs long and even the NB website says the v6 runs large, whereas they don't say that on other made models
@@beegees333 993 fit recommendation from NB says to size down (It's on the women's pair.) In general 990s & 993 are a tad bit longer but some of us are TTS across the board.
I was so close to picking up the chives but decided to pick up the cactus flee market white Air Force ones instead. Af1s are my fave Nike ever, however I may regret that. However, f*** it, I’ll take a dent in my wallet and maybe I’ll pick these up too, and the oat milk Hokas.
@@JoshDominicthank you. My feet are used to very comfortable ASICS and New Balances, so they unfortunately feel quite uncomfortable in comparison to those. Will probably be my last pair of AF1s. The side panel lettering also makes them slightly more chunky, which I’m not sure I’m a fan of.
I don't get the hype with these 2 colorways. Also I can't justify the retail price, "Made In USA" is purely marketing for sure. Anyways, good review as always!
