It's kind of crazy that the meeting with the professor is optional. Such a great scene.

Blood & Wine might as well be Witcher 4 - new environment, new characters, new monsters, new music, new mechanics... and it's not short either

Before you move on to Blood & Wine, I recommend you "mop up" some stuff you have skipped. You can always go back later anyway, but that makes for more loading screens... Highest on my recommendation list are: * The secondary quests 'The Volunteer' and 'Of Dairy and Darkness' * An unmarked event on the large peninsula NNW of Inn at the Crossroads (or rather, the large island the inn is on). It's on the west coast of the peninsula/island, near the north end of it. * An unmarked quest that starts on the round island straight E of Redgill (on Ard Skellig). (It's a full quest with journal entry, it's just finding it that's unmarked.) * The gwent quest that starts with Zoltan (who's still by Rosemary & Thyme). Seriously, this is long overdue. :)

Hell yeah for the Witcher I and II playthroughs!! The lore's where it's at, so many easter-eggs in TW3. 2 is quite a good game though tbh

Your title for this, reminds me of a Linkin Park song... slowly catching up with you now (damn Fallout, playing FO4 game well over 1000 hours before 100 hours now, not bsing, awesome show got me severely distracted [*cough playing FONV too*]) I always felt playing the G.o.D's game play is "Numb", otherwise distraction is death for Geralt in the worst way... knowing Geralt him bring it on! I think I saw you starting B&W... land of fairy tales, distractions, and YES GWENT, hehehe in G.o.D's sadistic laugh; 80% sure you'll do it, play the new deck ;) Curious what you think of it. Back to here, took you twice to complete the final mission here in HoS. Took me 4 my first time. Good job! *jealous, yet proud of you :) * Here's to wine w/o blood; good luck with that :P Take your time you will be hit hard with "get sidetracked with bull[feces]". A Bethesda, even BioWare, what's stopping CDPR trolling the " ". Pretty sure you'll enjoy the ride in Toussaint. Have fun!

Such a good DLC, from start to finish. It's good you helped Olgierd, the alternative is quite disturbing haha. Looking forward to Blood and Wine, it does an amazing job at capturing a vibe not explored up until this point with a lovely new location and soundtrack. Also, it would be a good idea to get one of the Witcher sets to master level before starting BaW. It's not essential, but it will open up some more options later on. Maybe a cheeky live stream before next episode, get a couple of the side quests done too? 😁

It's cool that you got the venomous viper silver sword on your first run through Gaunter's dark course. I totally missed it the first time I completed the DLC and had to load an old save to get it... If you wanna know what happens when you don't help Olgierd, you can load a save prior to this ending part and check and then come back to your current one or just watch a video (maybe include your reaction to it in your next video).

Heart of Stone is awesome Blood and Wine is better This gameplay is perfect 👍 I can't wait for the next DLC. When the old men dies, if you turn out all the candles, you can listen a creep sound. That's like something leaving the circle. Like a spirit. That's was a great "jumpscare" to me in my first gameplay. 😅

I didn't interfere between Olgierd and O'Dimm. Main reason is that I had been spoiled that there was a timed event involved, which clashes very hard with my super slow and meticulous playstyle. And at the time I thought Olgierd deserved that end. (Nowadays I am less hard on him.) I have played this expansion twice. Did the same choice second time around, so I have still not experienced that part. In fact, I skipped that part of the video, so I can experience it (reasonably) unspoiled, eventually.

Before watching the video, I want to say that I love your shirt! You always have the cutest outfits, Red! Love when fems/femmes wear whatever they want to freely express themselves, and feel + look cute 💜

I did save Olgierd even though I didn't like him. In hindsight he's not that bad of a character. And now for Blood and Wine!

Thank you for a great playthrough of Hearts of Stone! If you've got lots of coin you could dump coin into the runesmith and get access to the fancy runes. There's another gold sink in Blood & Wine though.. the game gives you enough that there's usually no problem doing both. If you've got question marks on the map you may want to clear them to get ability points from places of power. Ability points and mutagens are super useful in B&W. There are (at least) 3 ginger goddesses in B&W btw and one in particular is a badass mamajama. I personally prefer Blood and Wine to Hearts of Stone but I love them both -- they're very different in terms of structure and tone.

If you do nothing Gaunter will take Olgier's soul and then offer Geralt a reward that you must choose from a list. The best is the reward to "become the fastest man in the world." Gaunter will gift Geralt with a saddle that turns Roach into a black demon horse. She will instantly become the fastest horse in the game, and she will trail behind her a black vapor that beguiles humans, and terrifies wolves and dogs. It carries over into replays so that you begin a new +game with demon Roach. If you complete HOS before finding Ciri, you will unlock new dialogue options with all the main characters, and if you choose the reward ending with Gaunter he will offer as a reward to tell you everything you need to do with Ciri to get the best ending to the game. Thus lending credence to the idea that Gaunter has been behind the entire story the whole time.

Ha! Interesting...i had thought about your new witcher episode this moment and i got it ))) my congrats with finishing! We all love this dlc like characters in it! Gaunter is the perfect game antagonist for all times!)Olgierd is the most charismatic "main npc". Shani is just ginger precious:) *Smeagol's smile after word precious*😂 the riddle about mirror is so good as Black Dog's reminding about "seeking salvation in a mirror that cant be broken". One of the most brilliant stories in game dev i think. I choose save Olgierd too. The second choice just short and bad for Olgierd and without this philosophical dialog in the end. So, you did it the best 😜 Blood and wine is almost opposite dlc with sunny and bloomy Tousaint. You will have fun) Anyway, enjoy and share with us your adventure 😀

Like the Bloody Baron, Olgierd is not a nice man but their flaws are human, and the tragedy of their lives and wives make them at least a little sympathetic. The Baron felt too much (got PTSD, turned to the bottle), while Olgierd felt nothing (Heart of Stone) and CDPR made wonderful stories about them. >> 1:00:55 If you don't save Olgierd then O'Dimm takes his soul and he dies. Instead of the final chat with Olgierd and reward (sword) from him, you have a final chat with O'Dimm and can choose from several optional rewards which he offers.

Of course I did step in for Olgierd. And yes, there's an option not to help him.

I decided to let O'Dimm take Olgeird's soul. The professor mentioned that someone outsmarted him in the past. Yet, despite that, he came back. Doesnt seem like Geralt banishes him permanently. Seems like its not worth it to risk his soul.

If you wait a little longer, they promised to remake Witcher 1 after they release Witcher 4. Unsure the timing of either.

Hey mate, amazing episode!!! I have done both endings multiple times. If you help again you will get there in next to no time, so you have time to look around more and. Find a Treasure Room on your left side just off the main path to the house. But I don’t help anymore because you get the choice of a number of gifts and here is the one tip that help you in Blood & Wine and if you continue on into New Game Plus take the Demon Saddle! I changes Roach’s appearance and he will also help you in battles by stunning your enemies. 🦘🦘🦘🐨🐨🐨
