Im very thankful you talked on thus because its ignored in the leadership of the church but with that said as lds we should be spiritually proared alwats that we recognize Satan and hus dominion do we do not fall prey to deception.

I recently listened to a podcast by Bryce Dunford who compared the Initiatory ordinance to marking ourselves as God's and comparing it to the blood on the doorposts. I really like that thought. It makes sense to me. Instead of worrying about accidentally getting the mark of the beast, we can intentionally mark ourselves God's.

During COVID, what did many places do before allowing you entry? Scanned your forehead or your hand. These scriptures are often both figurative and literal.

The Bible says that _"no one knows the mind of God",_ but that hasn't stopped Christians from claiming to know his wishes, traits, goals & what he wants you to do with your life.

What about in the temple? That's one of the first things I thought of during the initiatory part.

What about the cell phones everyone holds in their hands these days? It could have good or bad things on it.

You definitely could be right. I dunno. I'm still pretty convinced it's a physical mark for passage through an economic barrier. Yes, definitely spiritual factors at the heart of upon which side one finds himself. But I do think it's referring to a specific, physical and visible mark.

I usually agree with most of what you say. I’m not so sure on this one. Under Nero no one could buy or sell without the coins showing the beast Nero’s image. You had to have the mark of Nero known as the Beast to buy or sell. The WHO , the WEF, and our own Federal Reserve are talking about the CBDC for us to buy or sell. I attended a State Insurance webinar a few years ago when they were talking about putting an ID chip in the web of our thumb and pointer finger because it couldn’t be easily stolen through amputation. I’m 85 and remember when SS was considered the mark of the beast because you had to have one at birth to buy or sell. There’s definitely been a progression in my lifetime to use some form of device to control the population just as the jabs have been used for travel and shopping. Too much is ready for that to be put in place. The mark of Christ could be an external mark given by Christ to His people perhaps at the rapture. Or, as someone earlier in my life suggested, it would automatically be seen through our countenance the closer to a Christ like character we become which is important because that’s how we will recognize Christ. We will be like Him. That is easily seen in many people setting them apart as being different during my lifetime. My father was one of them. I for one did not and will not be jabbed nor chipped in anyway. We have world leaders openly discussing using a chip or CBDC to control what we do. They’re already using it in China and other countries. You may not be right on this one. But, I always appreciate your insights. Thank you for sharing.

The Scriptures have always been very symbolic. Christ spoke in metaphors. We need to think about the spirituality as opposed to temporality. I have family members who call me in a panic at any news story about any kind of “implant “.

What if it’s both, this mark both figuratively and literally.

The mark of the beast is not technology or a physical mark. People get that wrong. The mark is easy to understand if you understand the scriptures.

This was so awesome! The "think and do" idea of the mark is interesting.

A couple of other scriptures that clarify the mark is Deut. 6:4-9, the Shema and Deut. 11:13-21, the Vehayah. It supports the idea that the mark is symbolic. Our thoughts and actions are with God or the world. Specifically are we aligned with world government, the Beast, or with God. Great content here!

*Surprise, surprise, you've accepted Satan ;* lol Being unknowingly duped into taking the _"mark of the beast"_ is not the same as willingly accepting to be Satan's minion. What kind of a God would be okay with with any type of con that completely ignores _freewill ?_ (not a conscience choice)

2. The third section of the book of Revelation, beginning in chapter 12, is history from the birth of Jesus until the final judgment. From John's point of view, it was future history, but from our view point, most of the book has already happened. Most of Chapter 12 is the history from the birth of Jesus until the reign of Constantine. Chapter 13 is the Roman empire from Constantine onward. The beast rising out of the sea is the government church state of Constantine, which included the Catholic church. Verses 3-9, the head that received the mortal wound was the fall of the western Roman empire. Referring back to that event, in verse 11, we see the rise of a beast with two horns which is the Holy Roman Church and the Holy Roman empire. During the dark ages, those who were not members of the holy Roman church and empire were outlaws and could not buy or sell or have ownership anywhere in the empire. The way to become a member of the church was to be baptized and when a person was and is baptized into the church, the priest puts a mark of a cross on the forehead of the person being baptized. Infant baptism is all about forcing babies into the holy roman church. The mark in the right hand is the cross a person makes when he crosses himself by crossing the index finger over the thumb of right hand. The number of the beast is the number of a man, 666. The top dog of the Holy Roman Church has a title, VICARIVS FILII DEI. 5+1+100+1+5+1+50+1+1+500+1= 666

1. Let me open with this statement,. The more you know about world history, the easier it is to understand the Book of revelation. That being said, now let me say that there are three sections to the revelation. The first section is to the churches over which John was assigned to as his ministry at that point in time. There is good information for all in that section, as Jesus said, "What I say unto one, I say unto all." The second section is the book with the seven seals. Each section of the book contains the history of a time period in world history. Joseph Smith said that each time period was a thousand years. That is not correct and I have his permission to correct his mistake in the light of new revelation. The truth is that the first horseman was Adam and the first time period is from Adam to Noah. Noah is the second horseman. The second time period is from Noah to Moses. Moses is the third horseman. The third time period is from Moses to Jeremiah. Jeremiah is the fourth horseman. The fourth time period is from Jeremiah to Jesus. The whole 5th section of the book is about Jesus and his ministry, not just to the Jews, but to the whole world. The 6th section of the book is the history of the ministry of the apostles up to the opening of the seventh seal, which is about to happen in the very near future. The final event of the 6th section of the book is the ministry of the 144000 sanctified High priests. The 144000 are the angels Jesus referred to in the parable of the wheat and the tares. I believe that many of the 144000 are walking among us but most have not yet been sealed by the holy spirit of promise. They will be revealed in the very near future.
