It was breathtaking, especially when we got to the section where you can find the millenary alerces. It still blows my mind that some of these trees are 2,600 years old!
The landscape looks so pure, clean and refreshing. Reminds me the trekking trip to upper Himalayas in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh during monsoon (National parks and Valley of Flowers). Keep going 👍. Love from an Indian🇮🇳

I was in Futalaufquen Lake , celebrating new year in 1995.. I did backpack with friends. Los Alerces National Park is amazing!! Thank you for let me visit that magic place again. Greetings from Argentina!!
For me the most beautiful place in Patagonia is lago Puelo , 8 miles away from el Bolsón, but I also stayed 3 days at lago verde , In the alegres national park, and it is for sure a top 3 , awesome vídeos sam and audrey, Thanks for sharing your experiences
Would ya'll say that the bugs and mosquitos are pretty bad down in Patagonia? Or does the persistent wind and chilly nights keep them at bay? Also is the food any good way down south on either the Argentine or Chilean side? Are the roads in decent shape for renting a car and driving?
Hey Matthew! Great questions. Bugs and mosquitos are definitely not an issue the way they are for example in Canada in the early summer. The food is great on both sides. More seafood in Chile and more meat in Argentina. The roads are in decent shape moreso around the major areas but a big rougher on the barren stretches.
