I have one myself. If you loose your card, no worries. Just order you another one and reset it up and change your code. As long as you have your seed phrase to set it back up, you are fine.

No Thanks You will be asked to allow your Arculus™ wallet to use your location - the transaction will not be completed if location is not enabled. Camera access must also be allowed to verify identity for Know Your Customer (KYC)

It is a hot wallet, not a cold wallet. The transaction signature process is done by software in the phone, not inside the card. RFID card have low power and limited horsepower, ledger did it several years ago and it was not practical. Proof of my saying : where is the seed generated or entered ? In real cold wallet, this is done directly on the device, not on the phone.

Agree. The app knows the seed phrase and, theoretically, could broadcast it to anyone anywhere. 25,000 of these were handed out at the Bitcoin conference so there may soon be a lot of money on these devices. I'd feel more confident if the app was open-source.

@@cal3751 My friends and I were extremely sketched out by all the free devices gifted out at the conference. I didn’t even consider the fact that these aren’t technically even cold storage devices either…. I won’t be recommending this product to anyone, nor would I even give them away for free.

It is October 3rd 2022 and I checked out this video. I searched through the rest of your videos and never seen the update for the review of this Cold Wallet. I understand that people are busy, but we look forward to the videos that you say you are going to do because you gave your word. I also understand that I am not one of your followers or subscribers, but you don't know who we know that might send people to your channel. Not following through makes people like me find others that do. Just saying for constructive criticism. Thanks. Looking forward to the update on if the wallet is a good buy or not.

Hey there! Your recovery seed is not generated in the app, it is generated on the Secure Element (encrypted chip) on your Arculus card. It is then displayed once on the screen during wallet creation for you to write down and confirm. During this step in wallet creation, the screen is programmatically blocked from being recorded, broadcasted, or screen captured. You are also able to complete this wallet setup in Airplane mode for added security, or generate your own seed phrase elsewhere and restore the wallet using the seed phrase you've created. Hope this helps to clarify!

Hey there! While we don't expect to see Arculus or our parent company, CompoSecure go out of business, if for some reason you were ever unable to access your Arculus Wallet, you'd be able to restore it using your recovery seed in any other platform that also supports 12-word recovery seeds and the coins you hold.

I don’t trust it. It generates seed while connected to internet and the code is not open source. Who knows what’s going on. Will stick to blockstream jade or coldcard

Hey Bruce! The seed phrase is not generated on the phone, it is generated on encrypted Secure Element (chip) in the Arculus Card. It is displayed once at wallet creation. In this step, the screen is programmatically blocked from being broadcasted, screen recorded, or screen captured. You may also use Airplane Mode for added security during the entire wallet setup process. You can also create your own seed phrase elsewhere and restore the wallet using that. I have the Ellipal which I like just fine but I will have to admit this looks very much refined able to carry it in your wallet and if you do lose the card you can just get another one as long as you have your 12 word security phrase to reactivate the new card. You're 12 word security phrase is the most important part of all of it.

The best wallet for you to look at is the Tangem card works the same as Arculus but the big difference is no need for a 12-word phrase, check it out it's very cool.

This is NOT a cold storage wallet. Your seed phrase is stored off line on the card but your crypto is still in a hot wallet on the block chain which is still vulnerable. I don't know how they can get away with saying that? Isn't that false advertisement?

Hello again, Mike. Happy to provide you with some clarification. With any hardware wallet, your crypto always lives on the blockchain. Cold storage indicates that the private keys associated with your wallet that are needed to sign transactions are stored offline. This is the case with the Arculus Key™Card-- it holds your private keys offline on an encrypted, Secure Element in the card. Hope this helps you to understand!

Having an online wallet generate your Seed Phrase and Pin bothers me a bit. If the Seed Phrase is hacked you are finished, card, or no card.

Hey James! As far as the recovery seed is concerned, it is generated on the card itself, not the phone, and is displayed on your screen just once, during wallet generation. Your recovery seed is not saved by Arculus™. During this step, any screensharing, screen shots, screen recordings, etc., is programmatically blocked by our software. Users may also chose to set up their wallet while their device is in Airplane Mode for added security if desired.

@@thisisarculus Is there a way to generate the seed securely? Perhaps a burner phone? Perhaps Arculus could try to make a cheap device under $10 just for one-time seed generation? Using Airplane Mode is a patronising suggestion. Malware isn't going to decide never to report back just because it lost internet for a minute.

@@samuelburnett6811 The malware would have to be already on the phone, penetrate the app and encryption, log the seed phrase then report. The seed phrase is generated and encrypted on card and securely sent to the phone to display. An alternative for if you would prefer not to use the seed phrase generated on the card would be to create your own seed phrase in another platform of your choice and restore it in your Arculus Wallet with your Arculus card.

Hey there! The Arculus Wallet™App is currently compatible with Android version 8.1 and later, and should work on any Android phone that supports NFC. For Apple iOS, the Arculus Wallet App will work with iOS version 10.0 and later, but only iPhone 7 and later models are supported. If your device fits these specifications, then it will still work with Arculus™, however if it doesn't have a biometric scan, you will not be able to get the full benefit of 3FA.

Hey there! If you lose your Arculus Card, you can purchase a new one and restore your wallet using the new card and your 12-word recovery phrase. Worth noting if you lost your card, a thief would not be able to do anything with it. To use the Arculus Card to access your wallet, they would need your 12-word recovery seed which should be safely stored away and not on your person. If they were able to get their hands on both your device and the card, they would still need your biometric scan to open the wallet, and the card + your biometrics + your 6-digit PIN to make any transactions.

Hey Walter! You can have a second card with the same private key, but you can only use one card per device at a time. This means you would need to restore the backup each time you wanted to use it and vice versa with the original card, unless you used the backup to access the same wallet on a separate device.

This isn’t a cold wallet … and it’s definitely not a secure option! You are literally entering your seedphrase into a an internet connected device! Crazy talk. Stay clear of this dodgey device. ColdCard is way better if you don’t invest in shitcoins. If you are a shitcoiner then Trezor is the best. Ledger and Keystone round out the other best options. This Arculus card isn’t even open source! Piece of shit…
