I just realized that I might be able to fit some fiberglass masts in there as well, I just need to see if that wacky idea works.

I also use a rod bag for Ice fishing Rods, I don't have any Hamsticks but I keep tripod , mast , telescopic whip , etc . when I go out the door I have items to take; antennas, rig, iPad, battery. This way nothing is left behind. 73 Steve VE1SK

That's a good strategy. I have started a process of making different modular kits that makes packing easier. It's now to the point where I don't need to pack much extra for field day.

i keep mine up the side of the car seat on the floor , then put car mat over them works great and they never leave the car

I didn’t have that option. Somehow the rest of my family doesn’t think radio gear permanently in the car is a good idea.

Its a good thing you are talking storage on ham sticks. A question on whither you should use ham sticks at all usually brings may opposing views. I am thinking about adding a couple for my pota kit. Great video Mort! 73! jubel

Hamsticks aren't the greatest antennas, but they are better than their reputation. It is also a very easy way to get on the air while you are doing mobile POTA. That's why I like them.

What I like about your solution is that the pockets prevent the Hamsticks from rubbing and banging against each other, as would happen if placed in a large PVC pipe. DE WA1KLI

It works really well, and I think I could even fit a fiberglass mast in there.
