Nestor is amazing. (He also reminds me of the story of Gerald Durrell- the naturalist). What a great childhood he's experiencing; his natural curiousity will take him far. Kudos to everyone who supports him in his family!
Wonderful having Nestor introduce Derek Gow to us!! Derek is fascinating!! Love seeing the beautiful animals!! I didn't know beavers were so important. This is a terrific video!!! Love from Vermont
You & Luc have raised a amazing young man! How he wants to learn to run & manage a very grand estate. Have to say, that Nestor looks alot like you Julie! Thanks
Nestor is such a impressive young man . Julie and Luke must be so proud. He will one day be such a help to you both. He seems so interested in learning all about the land and it’s animals. Good job Nestor.
Julie, what a charming young man , your Nestor! Sincere, good noble heart. Luke and you can be proud.....He will absorb the wisdom of others, and protect the animals and the Land. The host is very focused, and kind. What an uplifting glimpse. Thank you Soooo much. I believe this is a first, Nestor hosting on his own.🤗👍💪🙏🦌🏞️🐦🐝🐿️🦆
A big thumbs up for Nestor he carried himself well in this video. He'll be very well versed when you decide to pass him the torch to carry on with your rewilding efforts.
Nestor is amazing... His questions are on point, and his interest in the stock & their needs/benefits are genuine. Big plus, he listens to others wanting to learn.
Wow. This is so interesting! Really you guys are so far ahead of the curve for conservation. By the time Nesters children are his age now, the landscape with be TOTALLY different!🤯 And it will all be documented. Well done.
What a precious son you have! This video was so enjoyable. Earlier I watched as he listened to bats, and it was amazing, too. I hope he continues his interest in animals and our beautiful outdoor world. You are very blessed, and many thanks for sharing. Best wishes from Tennessee.💕
Hallo Nestor...you are really a very, very sweet beautiful soul!! Thank you for your great love to our Mother Nature and all her creatures!! Pls don´t permit to anyone to kill any of them...they have the right to live just like us ..!! ...We don´t need to drink milk or eat meat! Thank you Nestor and thank you to your parents!
I'm very excited to see how this unfolds over the next couple of years, and then long-term! I think it would be incredible and enthralling to be involved in this project.
Nestor ~ you are an amazing young man! And it doesn't hurt that you have so many wonderful tutors. I look forward to more of your videos, and watching you grow in wisdom.
Wallowing on pasture. I must go read up on grazing and stand maintenance in the UK. The concepts are totally different than the tallgrass prairie of the US Great Plains. So fascinating.
Well done Nestor! Hoping you will go into animal husbandry or veterinary services yourself! If there were a "green thumb" for animals, you'd have it! :-)
Nestor gives me hope for my granddaughter's generation. I believe our complex ecological systems are like Jenga blocks, if a niche is removed here and a niche removed there, eventually the system collapses and diversity is lost.
My Grandfather didn’t have Water Buffaloes to make his pounds he just used dynamite 🧨 lol. Few years ago there were some beavers 🦫 that dammed up the lake flow. DNR had to be called to relocate them due to the damage they were causing to the lake life. 🇺🇸 Michigan the Great Lake State
I wonder if the canal trust has a plan for dealing with the beavers on the ways that they feed water to the system. Then just identifying those locations that can be affected. Still what beavers can do to an area is increasable in the flood plain of a small stream. One place to look is Susquehanna County PA, where Interstate 81 enters NY below Binghamton NY. Look at the north south valleys from the center of the county south. You will see on google earth old stream beds where the streams just meander across the flat , then a pond. There is an image of of a beaver pond in google earth in the center of State game lands #35 and that is on top of a mountain that feeds the Little Egypt stream. That stream has little brook trout in it, I never got a big enough sized one to keep from that stream. The ponds they form do develop in to marshes that filter the water improving the water quality. On the small scale in a water shed they do not do much, but if the head waters are full of them, it makes a huge difference. That is why I say Susquehanna county, one part the water flows north and south and the concentrations of beaver are different and where they are. higher elevations in the north, and in the stream beds to the southern part of the county with more numbers.
Am not sure pallets with their preservatives and paint (and possible methyl bromide) are a great idea in the pens of your animals. If we release lynx it will only encourage people to hunt them.
