I think your garden is just fine for I mean did you say this is the first time since 2020 I mean not everybody's garden takes off the first time I mean you're getting some so you do whatever you're doing helping them I mean you did probably getting half and half right I mean cuz I remember you doing potatoes now when you first moved in here and they did good right so yeah everybody has to work at it not just put a garden up and it's going to take right off every time lol I think if it did that then we won't have to go into the store and buy I enjoy watching your channel because if I'm down I watch a video cuz hey it's like if it works it works the first time everybody's trying something !!

Happy Birthday! You set you dishwasher BEFORE you close the door. They will start the cycle after the door is closed. My daughter called her installer to come back because she couldn’t fit her finger between the buttons and counter. He said to set before closing. Works perfect.

When we get bulks of tomatoes from our farm, after we have shared with family and friends, some we keep as is in refrigerator in plastic baskets for daily use, some we freeze whole after removing the air from the bags, and the softer ones are pulsed slightly in blender and put in freezer for sauce mixes later or when tomatoes are out of season.

I have a six month old foster kitten who loves to watch your videos with me. She chases your hands. I enjoy the videos as well, but watching her is hysterical. She actually pounces on the screen. Good thing she is the size of an 8 week old kitten. Love the new kitchen. What a project.

It took me over 2 days to finish this video (life!), so this is Part 2....I LOVE your haul Jamerill! My kitchen is full of stuff too, including old mason jars from my grandmother and a electric wire cap (in vibrant blue) my mom picked up in a garage sale over 40 years ago. Those RU-vidrs championing decluttering and empty kitchen counters and cabinet tops would take me on as a special project. I like "lived in" houses. I find it amusing though that the gadgets I learned to use at my mother's knees and have been using for well over 50 years are considered "vintage" these days. 👀 My mom used to do those hauls back in the day with me. She pulled things out of a bag like Felix the Cat, explaining every purchase. My dad knew it was best to keep the peace. He had his own addictions (tools he didn't need and cameras). How green was my valley. What beautiful memories your children will have!

Solid surface backsplash is easier to clean. Just like tiled countertops were a nightmare to clean. If you want easy clean stick with solid surfaces. Just my advice.

As I remember my dad worked quite a while getting the soil ready for his garden.He had a super back yard garden .He put everything from fertilizer to coffee grounds and egg shells .Don’t get discouraged I remember it was a process.

My grandpa had the most beautiful garden in the entire community. He prepped the soil every year with manure and peat moss, tilled everything in, added lime where needed AND weeded every single day. None of the nutrients in the soil went to weed production, and the yield from each plant was huge. Weeds are your enemy. Watering daily during the dry season is your friend. He didn't super soak the garden daily, but made sure all plants had a good drink of water. Best of luck to you!

with the garden beds (coming from a hot country with many years of gardening under the belt) I have one word you really need to hear said three times - mulch, mulch, mulch! It's sooo sooo important and your plants will look a lot better - The roots need insulation and it will help tremendously - oh and never water overhead. on another note - I found myself with the silliest happiest grin on my face watching your outtakes at the end - brilliant ending Jamerrill :D

You’re a fabulous inspiration and thank you for your positive attitude. Your encouragement to others to try and keep going is appreciated. Just something I personally experienced was after we had a lot of rain the raised bed had no drainage so the roots were soaking in water but the top of the bed looked dry, a solution was to drill a water hose size hole near the base so excessive water could flow out. Easy to test drill one of your beds that plants aren’t thriving. The weight of water can compact the soil as well especially if the area that the beds were built was hard packed ground. Hope this tip is helpful. Great finds at the sales! 😊

Oh my gods but your gardend look beautiful! When we got constant rain last year and plants got waterlogged, a friend , recommended adding a tablespoon of Hydrogen Peroxide per gallon of water and use it to water in my affected plants. I brings oxygen to soggy roots and stops them from rotting. Anyway, it worked great! My zucchini made a full recovery and so did my cucumbers abd celery! Good luck and Brightest Blessings.........I'm almost as excited as you are to get into your new Mega Momma kitchen! Oh, Hun, those beautifil "electrodes" are actually Insulators! Your baskets are beautiful!! Oh, I love me a well made garden basket!

Great yard sale finds!!! I squealed out loud when you pulled out the butter dish! You got out "would you pay"..and I was saying "yes yes" before the price ever came out! 🤣🤣 I love the insulators(electrodes) because my husband is a Lineman for our power company. Maybe you and Travis should plan for a He-Shed & a She-Shed one day in your futures. His shed could be near his shop, and your shed could be on a part of the property that is less used. The sheds could be child-free zones for when you both take turns getting business done in peace and quiet. (I was going to suggest two tiny homes, but that can get expensive, and you wouldn't need a complete tiny house unit that close to your house.) Two cheap sheds that you fix up as workrooms would probably not be as much money as a full tiny home. You could have a hot plate, small frig., microwave, etc. for a tiny kitchenette, maybe a daybed or sofa bed for a late night sessions as you're doing here at the tiny house. But being on your property, there would be no need for too much, as you are within distance to walk to the house for showering, etc. Just an idea to mull around and put at the bottom of the list of things more important to get done at the moment.

Garden: noncoated asprin in water, as a spray ( Gary from rusted garden channel) might strengthen tomatoes, early in season. ( Maybe next year.) If the soil is very clay/ heavy, leaves, cocoa core, peat moss, worked into soil at end or beginning might help aerate it..make it " fluffy" for roots. This fall I am going back to adding lime to our beds, it helps with acidic soil. ( Yellowing) It seems to help the plants utilize the nutrients in fertilizer/soil. This has just been a strange year for gardens. Testing the soil too could help "solve the Mystery," of the soil. Again, Gary from rusted garden..has allot of household, simple ideas/recipes growing healthy plants.

I love my 24 inch lazy Susan I had made from the countertop material. It helps to put something on the cool side and the spin to the eating side. Your island could hold two. The height of the lazy Susan also sets off the decorations I have in the middle

Check the vintage cookware for lead, sometimes it leaches over time. You can get tester sticks from your local health department.

I like the funky tile. I have a pretty eclectic style. I like simple, clean lines like shaker style, but I love a POP of funky that catches the eye. It's a shame that you weren't able to make the first choice tile work. Maybe down the road update? The organic Fish and Kelp fertilizer I used did wonders for my container garden this year; although my cucumbers suffered with the high heat. The leaves bleached and yellowed and burned. Could have probably used some shade cloth to filter out the blazing sun. My cherry tomatoes did amazing. I also had some yellow leaves on my tomato plants that I just pinched off without issue. The wilted ones in your garden may just be a case of needing more water than the others. I like to mulch or use straw for mulch to help keep the soil moist during the heat waves. Great finds you had there at the end!

If you're going to send your youngest off to college from that house, entertain your grandbabies in it and spend long summer evenings rocking on the porch, sipping iced tea with your hubby...buy the tile that YOU like, not the safe/marketable tile. Enjoy your home! 😊
