Will Twilight Masquerade Be The Pokemon Set To Change It All For Scarlet & Violet?
May 24th 2024, Pokemon's New Set Twilight Masquerade will be available and released worldwide. It is a highly anticipated set boasting Ursaluna & Greninja Special Illustration Rares.
Right now, the set is gaining a lot of traction, but ultimately, everyone's dying to know how this set will perform in the long term and whether it is worth adding to your Pokemon Collections?

Just got back into Pokemon this week after about a 20 year hiatus. I just found your channel, I'm learning a lot and I appreciate it. I even purchased my first modern card, PSA 10 Pokemon Center Squirtle, my favorite Pokemon.

I think I’ll probably try to get the greninja too if I can find it under $50

what i find interesting about the evee illustration rare is that theirs 8 evees in the card and 8 eveelutions. makes me wonder if we will get a version with all the eveelutions on it.

i think the easy answer is that no SV set as of right now is not worth investing in, if you're looking for ROI longterm this is the worst decision

Fully agree! The Greninja is good. Some of the IRs feel nice. I won't be incredibly excited to open these, either.

@@pokedawgFor collecting purposes, sure. For playing the game, never again. Tag Teams and Sword and Shield being so incredibly mediocre as a game had me walk away from TCG for a long time.

I agree. I feel like they missed the mark with twilight mascarade. I really want the greninja but the ursaluna they should have made the card pop more. Also I think they teased us with the dracapult ex without adding a SIR.

My personal analysis for the deck - I think merely for artwork, a lot of the SIRs look absolutely phenomenal. Infernape, Pinsir, Eevee, Phione, etc… I think the artwork looks great. Bloodmoon Ursaluna art is a whiff. If it was a dark cast background with hues of red and whatnot, it would be a lot more compelling as an investment. The Greninja looks good. Huge miss not giving us SIRs for Luxray or Dragapault. I think both could have held good value. All in all, I don’t think this pack will be the kind you invest in and expect a huge ROI. But I think the set is still exciting because I think completing the set and putting it into a binder would be so cool, with the mere vibrancy of the cards in the set.

Based on the cards ive seen so far not even a bit. That said ANY pokemon you buy and genuinely hold 5 plus years will always have a profitable roi. Ive never lost on any non theme deck investments bought at or below msrp

ive been preaching on youtube that i desperately want TM to be good, maybe second after Paldea. I think Pokemon needs that magic to come back because right now we are close to fusion strike in terms of SV, which means the pressure is on for PC to impress. If this set flops the damage will be immeasurable

Naw we aren’t at fusion strike yet. Paradox rift was vivid voltage, temporal forces was battle styles, masquerade is chilling reign , and after that we get the big hitters. By the end of year 2 we should have stellar miracle and one more that will be equivalent of fusion strike.

Love your channel and videos bro. Gotta disagree with Temporal Forces being the best set so far though. Both it and Twilight Masquerade are pretty boring sets in my view, but I am definitely a bit of a Pokemon Boomer. Keep up the good work!

You know how i see Pokemon.. after the Logan Paul/Garvee hype in 2020.. Pokemon has had its downfall with its consumers.. Pokémon isn’t as great as it once was.. do i still think Pokemon will still be collectible 20 years down the line?! Yes!! But it won’t be anything like the hype.. it will be a group of community members who love Pokemon.. all of us born within that time period.. and maybe some kids today.. you know i wish i kept some evolving skies sealed.. but i am done opening packs.. I’m your average ebt collector now.. i have 4 ebts of 151.. with 4 of those alakazam/kadabra collectors boxes.. some twilight masquerade.. and i am actually looking to invest into some older sets.. definitely evolvutions.. evolving skies.. and maybe one day.. Legendaries..

Temp Forces artwork is elite. Twilight Masquerade is like a 4/10 if that. I agree with you. 151 is definitely my favourite SV set, and Twilight is my least. Doubt I'll even open a pack of this set.

No.. why are you pumping brand new sets as investments. There are WAY better options that new sets that will get re prints and dead money for 2+ years. Horrible advice.
