Is updated 2020 Audi A5 Sportback an even BETTER looking luxury sedan? 

I own a 19 A5 Sportback Sline. Highly recommend it. This car is like a tailored Hugo boss suit. It is sporty enough for a daily driver, it is extremely agile even in florida's rainy weather and extremely practical! You can get a different color/trim. I got a black interior with blue accent stitching is so nice.

I own a 2019 S5 , and got it at a great price just before they released the 2020 model. I’ll tell anyone thinking about the 2019 S5 to get it. It’s one of the most versatile/ practical vehicles you can get once your budget supports it . Great review again man ! Keep up the hard work , we are definitely noticing it !

The small space / vents above the grill separated into three slots is an homage to the Audi Quattro rally cars of the 80's. A nice touch for just the baseline A-models of 2020 and onwards.

The white colour looks amazing in the sun, paired with the dark chrome wheels

The center armrest doesn’t close all the way so the car doesn’t catch fire when you’re charging your hot phone on the wireless charger. It has to breathe. The wood would also look better in a lighter color like eucalyptus or bamboo.

drove a 2019 s line as a loaner this year, peppy and fun for being the "base engine" great great car!

It’s interesting I have a 2018 A5 with the previous infotainment screen with the MMI dial controller and it’s really easy to use. It’s almost a bit of a downgrade for me that the went with the touchscreen only option. The bin where the controller used to be is a bit odd and definitely needs a lid. I have an S-line trim and the suspension is much better. It really carves. I traded in my 2014 BMW328 and haven’t looked back. Frankly I prefer my 2018 Audi to the new BMW 3 series.

I love mine! This video definitely played a part in me getting one! And I got the dark grey wood trim as well! Didnt care for the brown wood trim either haha

I always love the food references in your videos they crack me up. Looking to replace my Rdx and wondering if the Sportback has enough space for a car seat, stroller, and some suitcases. Seems like more useable space than a 3 series with a conventional trunk.

I like this designed interior a little more than their new ones in like the a7 and stuff, but I agree with you on the screen. The way they integrated it into their other models is very nice, better than this tacked on tablet

This is super clean! But for the price. Kia stinger gt2 with 365 horsepower seems like a better option

In some of the older Audi, The screen could be hidden in the dashboard.

there need to be more sportback/fastback cars in the market, on the lower to mid end market. that's how you get renewed interest in sedans. i want a sedan but like the practicality of a hatch.

I’m not a fan of the screen it looks like someone just attached a tablet on the the top of the dashboard, if it mounted into the dash it would’ve looked better imo.

the reason why the arm rest has a little hole area is because of your wires you plug into your phone or electronics, so they dont get damaged.

I feel like the BMW 3 series integrated the infotainment a lot better than this new A5, but I prefer the virtual cockpit of the Audi. If I can get the virtual cockpit and interiors of Audi, and the driving dynamics of the Beemer, that would make the perfect luxury sedan!

If the differnce between a A4 and this one is 10k I would go with this one

I love sportback cars! But a fully loaded A5 is 58K. Smaller and not much nicer than the Arteon or Stinger, which would be at least 10K cheaper. Tough choice.

For the price point, the Stinger is still the better value .. When you are ready for that true upgrade .. Then go for the S and RS model ..

The arm rest not closed fully is to give room for cables to pop out from it. So you have no problem charging your phone from the usb socket.

Finally, an Audi that has 2 USBs for passengers. MSRP of 53k? Other Audi vehicles over 100k doesn't even give 2 USBs for the back passengers.

Audi does so many things right (I have two S4s so definitely biased) but damn that is just a great car and kicks ass in bad weather which is also really big. Great job reviewing the A5....that 10" screen does have to go.

Joe, the zonk you did with the grille was not good enough. You should have given them a thumbs up since they actually managed to integrate the openings of the 3 vents into the grille unlike the horrible look with the RS6 and RS7 were the 3 vent openings are on top of the grille. Do check the other Audi models you have reviewed.

Hate the shift knob in the A and S but thank god they finally realized to move cup holders in FRONT of the shifter. I’m getting tired of resting my arm on the top of whatever bottle I have in the cup holder.

Sup Joe, I was at Jewel getting groceries for the family so I'm here now.

I think a clean look only looks good on sports cars like R8 and all. For a regular sedan like A4, A5, A6, etc infotainment system is a must since you travel with your family, kids whatnot. So they can also adjust things the way they want seats, music, etc. you agree with me. sometimes it's not always about the driver you have to think about passengers as well. So stop bringing a clean look for Audis in every review. but I love your reviews.

If you were to choose between this Audi and a 2020 BMW 3 Series, which one would be ? I wanted to say BMW 5 series but I don’t know if they are equal.

I'm currently leasing a 2018 A5 Sportback Prestige and unfortunately it will be my last Audi. I own three cars a 2016 Toyota Tundra, a 2015 Dodge Challenger Scat Pack, and the 2018 Audi A5. And I can say with absolute certainty that the jog wheel button combination is a far superior way to control the infotainment system, apart from voice control. Once you get use to it you barely have to take your eyes off the road and unlike a touch screen you can drive on a pothole infested road in New England and still control your infotainment system without missing a beat. Besides that the touch screen is too far away to reach without having to lean forward. Looks like BMW or Mercedes will be getting my money next time!

I’m with you Joe, the infotainment is a triple Zonk! Why not do it like the A3 where it hides away in the dash? Last years RS5 was one of my favorites, I really hoped they were going to change that for this year. Disappointed.

For the same price, get the Stinger - V6 twin turbo, 365 hp, 8 speed automatic, bigger hatchback, Brembro brakes all around, all the same power options. This cars a waste in comparison to the GT2 Stinger.

EVERY brand is getting expensive! FORD Raptor is like, $72K! HYUNDAI GV80 (next year) is about $64K KIA Stinger is about $55K LINCOLN is up there to! So, really? I got my 2009 X5 brand new (after I built it) for $65K, and that was with 3rd row, upgraded sound, Nav, etc. If I build it the same way in 2020, I'm probably spending $78K - easy. I just found a 2014 Audi RS5 with less than 15K miles for $42K. Oh ... it's tempting cause that SOUND is just crazy! But, that cost still rivals far newer models. But ... that SOUND! Oh man!
