From what I hear people just agree that he was planned for the game but removed somewhere during development due to all the purple and if I remember correctly in the handbook, there is a purple bunny insinuating that he was here at one point

I remember when I was 11 or 12 and I told all my friends about waluigi being in the game and how I wanted to unlock him and then they found out it was fake and they probably all thought I was a liar but no, just gullible :(

Fun fact: My brother Logan actually opened the blank door once, just to show me. What was on the other side? Nothing, only the sounds of gears grinding. I although forgot how he even opened the door.

Short answer: No, he’s not BUT Princess Peach was in the works to be a playable unlockable character after beating the final Bowser battle Her files are in the game with a running animation

You left out two key details that can be used as evidence that he was meant to be in the game at some point, that being that there a hole in peach’s castle and and purple rabbit in the manual

All theories aside, it’s strange that he wasn’t included in the game. Given the fourth door being right next to Wario, it’s almost as though they were planning to add him but decided not to for some reason.

I have been experiencing a mandela effect for years because I swear as a young child that 4th door was purple and had the Waluigi symbol. I didn’t buy magazines and I didn’t have access to the internet so idk where I’m remembering that from

I have a crazy ability idea for walugi I call it gymnastics. walugi starts flipping like crazy and he only gets faster the more walugi runs with gymnastics but be careful cuz after a certain speed with gymnastics if walugi bumps into a wall he'll lose half his health

Something interesting, though- there actually is a bit of evidence proving he was planned at some point! In the game’s manual, one of the pages shows a character talking to a purple rabbit (countering Mario’s red rabbits, Luigi’s green, and Wario’s orange), which is never seen later in the game.

He was supposed to be a link game character. Link your game to a Wow! Waluigi game to claim him but it never released and so waluigi in 64 DS was scrapped

I remember back in 2010 I was trying to find was to unlock Waluigi constantly! I looked through every secret area, I kept finding secret after secret but I never found Waluigi. I tried Wwwario's method in 2013 but I still didn’t unlock him, it was then when I realized Waluigi is not in the game… 😬😬😬

If any of you didnt know the door unlocks when you catch a spacific amount of silver bunnys and all it gives you is ONE FREAKING STAR

Peach was unlocked after saving Princess Peach originally but that wouldn't make sense as she's just known as the "Damsel-In-Distress." Tbh it would've been fun to play as her.

The one with the ice bully was the most intriguing one since he does drop a mega mushroom after 110 coins

As a kid I thought there would be a 4th character there i later used hacks to check out what's behind the 4th door it's literally nothing from what I can remember

Yea, there were four doors but one of them holds a Boo behind it when the player enters but in the DS version, when the player switches up the characters, the player actually opens the white door and a different character (Mario, Luigi, Wario or Yoshi) will jump out except Waluigi 🤔

It’s probably just cut content of the game but I hope that for the next Super Mario game that they make Mario,Luigi,Wario,and Waluigi playable and maybe even one of the toads

door 4 was for yoshi because bowser knew yoshi was on the roof and yoshi would of gotten confused about where mario, luigi and wario was.

You can only unlock that door after you get EVERY Key obtainable but all you get is a Star .-.

As a kid, I remember desperately trying to get Waluigi, I watched countless of videos yet i was too stupid enough to realize he just wasn't in the game, so many hours wasted throughout my childhood

The seceret door is unlocked for a star after finding 8 white shiny bunnies around the castle

I think the game was going to add waluigi but they had memory issues because they would have to add more stars and levels so they decided to remove him

If yall didn’t know. There are remnants of peach being playable. There are full on finished animations of her jumping running and standing idly. my cousin told me there was a super secret ability to use him i was never sure until 2019

I want to say something about this topic: it turns out that years ago I had a Nintendo DS and I played this game and I also saw the thing about the door and my brother said that it was supposedly from "yoshi" but I swore it was Waluigi and well I did like a boss rush (?) I don't remember anymore and well I did something so many times that when I killed a boss I think it was the one from the hands of the sand world he gave me Waluigi's key and when I went to the room I put the key in the door and he A message came out saying "oh! you've unlocked Waluigi" and I swear he had the skills to jump higher like Luigi, in addition to the big blocks he could grab them and throw them as if he were Wario, and well I found out about the customized copies of Mario 64 and I suspect that the version I had was one of them and it is not clickbait because I remember it in great detail.
