The Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Aionios Moments Artbook recently released and includes a whole lot of additional lore and information about the story of Xenoblade Chronicles 3. A lot of it is very interesting but some are saying it muddies the water with what Xenoblade 3 lore already is and makes it more confusing than it already need to be.
In this video I discuss the additional lore we got from the Xenoblade 3 artbook and how I feel about it, specifically concenring the interview that was done with Xenoblade Chronicles series producer and creator, Tetsuya Takahashi.

Grat video! I think the only stuff that was confusing was that Fiora was in Lucky 7, not so much in the original script (even if Takahashi really needs to tell more people his ideas) but it was hard to translate a text that implies both a singular and plural meanings. As for the other stuff, Luxin video abot Riku it's a really good one, I like the idea of Riku wanting the party to understand/question the world first hand, rather than give them answers just because. (I was right about Riki being Riku's father) I was also confused that people were confused about the people of the city being reborn in the new world, I thought it was really well explained in the base game. I really liked Moebius as villains, they aren't like the previous villains, but I think that makes them really interesting, I like that Takahashi it's using different type of villains for the series, and Moebius works really well for XC3, I don't think they would work in any other game of the series and viceversa, theh were made specifically for 3. Finally, I love that Takahashi is not answering all the questions now, instead he is going to answer them in the next games, perhaps we will know Mythra's kid, how the new world works, it's the new saga going to be the Origin Saga? (I don't know, I just came up with this as I was hearing you said the Klaus Saga). I don't think the lore is confusing, most of it it's answered while looking in the game or past games, and the other stuff it's going to be answered in the future. I'm really excited for the future of Xenoblade, this is a really great series.

@@nishquikpops I love being able to talk about Xenoblade, I don't know if I would be capable of making videos like this or like Luxin, but I love talking about this stuff. Sometimes we forget about certain scenes, especially with Xenoblade games, one needs to revisit a lot. I'll be looking forward to your future videos!

Couldn't agree more. Great minds think alike, I've also been thinking in the next saga as the Origin saga. With Xc3 being a transition title between the Klaus saga to the next one. This isn't botw->totk were sheika technology just dissapears, and considering the people of the city are stored in Origin, we haven't seen the last of it for a mile, easily one of the plot points or sources of conflict within the new world AND whatever is coming from that blue light (I personally think is one of the shios mentioned in FR, the Icarus maybe). Also, Logos somehow returned, BUT we WILL get that answer someday, just a temporal mystery, another XC3 prequel? Future connected 2? We just have to wait (waiting hurts)

@@imperfectworks7064 Klaus being the catalyst of the experiment saga and Ouroboros (with some of 1 and 2 party members) being the catalyst of the origin saga makes sense, the effects of Origin will be felt in the future. As for what's coming from the blue light, I don't know, I still need to play both X and Saga, but whatever it is, I'm certain that it's going to be an important part (next to the effects of origin) of the new world. I don't know if we'll see another prequel for 3, maybe an epilogue for 2? (If it gets the treatment of DE). But I'm excited for what's to come, What answers or questions the future awaits ? It's really difficult having to wait for your favorite games and stories.

I love it BUT I'm still putting my foot down. The xeno devs need to get stuff actually explained in game instead of constantly mystery boxing us because having too much confidence that you'll get another game out is dangerous. We still have an unresolved story for xcx.

I think 3 did a pretty decent job tying up loose ends, but yeah I agree we need X to continue since I heard the ending is a huge cliff hanger... Also Takahashi needs to fill his team in on a lot of these lore concepts too! 😅

I've been waiting for this video! I'm going to be openly talking about spoilers here for Xenoblade, but I imagine anyone watching this is prepared for that. First and foremost, Fiora being Lucky Seven does make sense. Only someone who once has access to a Monado would be able to destroy those flame clocks because Ontos is the original administrator of Aionios. It's a shame this didn't come through enough in Future Redeemed but I feel like getting clarification on the lore through a book is something Takahashi has done so much in the Xenogears and Xenosaga days that it was inevitable that it would happen with Xenoblade at some point. Also the implications that the souls in Origin metal won't always come back as people has led fans to speculate about so many more characters like Dromarch being part of the Cloudkeep. I love reading all the theories. But I agree that you don't need to know most of this to really enjoy and understand the core themes of Xenoblade 3. Delving this deep into the lore of the game is really for the die hard fans and I think that will continue to be true going forward. And about Riku, he was already pretty much my favorite Nopon before this book came out but just seeing just how much of a liar he's turned out to be actually just solidifies his spot for me. 🤣 Lastly, I agree Takahashi basically confirmed that we will be getting a new game that continues this lore. Yes the Klaus saga is over, but all that really means is that the events that led to that trilogy have concluded now that the worlds have returned to being one. But that doesn't meant there won't be any references to the past games whatsoever. I really want to see why he couldn't tell us why Malos was in Sword of the End or why he couldn't go more into why Origin works the way it does. He stated that there's a proper reason and he couldn't go into that yet. Basically I can't wait to see what comes next for this series!

The universe and lore behind these games is so deep it’s always so awesome uncovering new little trinkets about the world and characters! Also the lucky 7 drop has blown my mind 🤯🔥

XC3 had a really subtle story. Not everything was explained on the nose, but I think there is plenty of information in the game to put all of the important pieces together to understand the message.

Aside from the irony that pretty much every fan was tryna figure out what lucky 7 was and it turns out the name is based on the fan name for fiora it coulda been a lil more implied. But yeah I feel like we’re all focused on the trinity processor and what 2’s lore brought and I think takahashi and we should be treating meyneth, zanza and Alvis, on the same level. Some people did extract that from the avatar stuff but we really should be looking at fiora as the same level as shulk as a monado weilder. It’d be odd for the game to outright just lore dump too much but maybe A just giving a nod to someone other than Shulk wielding a monado in the past would be enough, a small vague friendly reminder and i think people could connect the dots

I think everything besides the lucky seven stuff was in the game which is why I appreciate 3 a ton. It tells you just what you need to know to understand the story and leaves the rest out there in the story and world for you to find. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but I’ve loved every second of deep analysis and coming to the conclusions Takahashi wanted me to.

Yeah I agree. 3 is probably the most lore intensive game in the series and the way it presents the information is oftentimes tough to figure out but with context of the prior games it's very interesting.

I wouldn't be surprised if the entire saga is the fall out of the creation of Origin. Even if the worlds fused back together, Origin is what allowed them to even do that. Origin technically has admin controls over everyone and everything post-merge assuming what Nia said about Origin being able to rebuild everything post-collision can be taken as fact. Anyone who was ever input into Origin can technically be "spawned" back into the world. The data's sitting up there in the computer. That having been said: what happens when Origin inevitably gets too old to function? Does the world blackout with the computer? Is humanity truly on their own at that point? I'm curious as to what the fallout of Origin will be post-incident. I can't imagine it wasn't a discussion between the world leaders of both worlds after they finally escaped Aionios. Provided they remember. "Hey, so the super computer generated a virus that literally turned this place into a hellscape. We sure that's not gonna happen again? Can we install some safety protocols into that thing?"

I think the main confusion with the reborn in bionis mechonis/alrest is that whether the parents would be the same or different like are they actually gonna be the same people? Will they have some sort of memory at least a bit? The logistics of it aren't really stated basically. Great video though!! As someone who stopped watching luxin years back because I've only played the main Xenoblade games and not any other xeno games it was great to see a xeno video again lol

Honestly, I saw a small Spanish channel that predicted the entire Fiora is the nucleus/ main soul of the sword of end, November of 2023, although he never actually thought Logos was in the sword of the end, it was mostly the other translations in which gender of the people that Rex was referring to was always female, which he interpreted the people had to be female, and had to be people that, in Future Redeemed, were never referred by name, which in his mind, it couldn’t be Logos and Pneuma, or Melia and Nia, because Rex could have just used their names. And adding to the fact that Rex said if they were here, they would help Nikol and Glimmer, and the main theme in FR is family. He asked the question: Which two people, if they were here, would help to lengthen Nikol and Glimmer’s life span? The answer was a parent would do anything to protect their child. Which would be Fiora and Pyra/Mythra(Pneuma). And for added symbolism, he saw the scene, with the characters symbolizing people in real life, Shulk and Rex was Takahashi as a father, Nikol and Glimmer was his kids, A was the Xenoblade series, and the reference to Fiora and Pneuma was a reference to Takahashi’s wife, Soraya Saga. And the entire scene as a family reunion, which is wholesome.

Here's an idea. Takashi confirmed that the Klaus saga is done. So maybe, a new saga can start, or they can start a Multiverse saga where Klaus doesn't destroy the world, and that timeline is the new saga, which in the end leads to the alien wars that ties into Xenoblade X.

What i'm confused about is how Noah and Mio are still in the cycle even though theyve become Mobeous. Even if they're clones, what about all the other Mobeous's clones. Doesnt have to be a focus, but some hint or tease would of helped better understand.

Don't quote me on this but I think it's because of either these two things. The glitch in Origin that A hinted at when Rex and Shulk gave their life essence to Glimmer and Nikol could've lead to it. Or it might have been the last bit of hope left within the souls of Origin that kept Noah and Mio within the flow to break the cycle of the endless now with the power of Ouroboros. Both seem to make sense imo but I think the former is more likely the case.

I remember what it felt like to be a saga fan back in the day when the series got cut short or lore rewritten between games so buildup in one game went nowhere in the next, or lots of details and plot points just left unanswered. it kind of sucked. blade 1 & 2 was so refreshing in how it tied up most of its story and renewed my faith in the series. blade 3 was great, so i can forgive it for leaving soo many important plot points and details vague so long as the next entry starts clearing things up and not just introduce more questions than answers. thankfully future redeemed was like a 20 out of 10 for me, so im hopeful for the future lol.

despite my criticisms, xenosaga is still very dear to my heart, and the third entry is pretty damn good considering how much it had to wrap up. there is still that lingering "what happens next!!!??", so i wouldn't mind some retcons to have the chance to continue the story through a 4th blade/saga game. ive also played all the saga games at least 10x each lol, so i would enjoy something slightly new

@nishquikpops saga 3 left on such a huge cliffhanger for me. it resolved the 1st arc well enough, but desperately want to know "what is on lost Jerusalem that's so important to the future of the universe!?" meanwhile, as blade fans we are like "what does this new combined world look like!?" so its exciting to imagine this new planet will have universe saving secrets from pre-klaus era that not even the citizens of alrest, bionis and aionios know about. it could start delving into the origins of why the conduit/zohar appeared on earth in the first place.

I really love 3, but it was always so weird to me. Xenoblade 1 and 2’s endings basically wrapped up every loose end, answered every possible question, explained every little detail. 3 just kinda, didn’t
