Genshin Impact's 4.0 update has finally come. In this patch comes the new region of Fontaine, as well as a Yelan rerun. Yelan's rerun comes at a pretty bad time since Fontaine just came out, so many will be saving for the new fontaine characters coming soon, including the hydro archon. But with how good yelan is, I don't think you should brush her off away that easily. In this video I'll get into my yelan review and explain why wishing for yelan, even in the new patch is very much worth it. I'll go into yelans kit's, her positives, her strengths, her build, weapons, artifacts, and her negatives. I hope you enjoy and hope this helps you decide whether yelan is a good pull for you.

Been prefarming for her mats since last month. And now got her with c1. Really love her kit and usefulness a really huge jump to my damage output.

i’m at 55 pity on a gurantee with around 140 wishes saved up. ty for making this bc i’ve been really struggling with making a decision. neuvilette is a must pull bc i want a hydro dps, furina bc im sure she’s going to be cracked. i honestly do think as good as Yelan is, she will most likely be pushed out of the meta when Furina drops.

I was thinking about that too, I'd say she would if the archon plays like yelan or does the same things as her. Since we already have xingqiu and yelan, and we're in a new region I think she'll do things differently. Archons always are crazy but if furina is another sub dps that applies hydro passively I'll be dissapointed

that’s a really good point. thinking about it, i don’t think they would do such a thing. judging from the hydro slimes she may have some trap mechanic which would constantly apply hydro. i will say, i saw a leak showing her weapon and from the passive, if it’s true, she looks like she could also be a main DPS which i wouldn’t be too fond of. it’s very up in the air as hydro is a very versatile element. maybe she’ll have the potential to fit multiple roles very well. i’d be totally fine with that.@@jjjackal1110

To me yelan feels very fun after just pulling her, due to the fact that I've never used xingqiu.

I tried to pull, lost 50-50 to keqing at 79 pity, did some grind in Fontaine for 100% exploration and got C0 yelan at 68 pity🤌

Hey all, hope u enjoyed the video and found it useful. I shouldve mentioned this in the video, but the hydro archon should be releasing somewhat soon. Though we don’t know the archon’s kit, considering the other archons, its pretty much guranteed she’ll be very good. So it’d be a wise thing to perhaps wait for the archon since she’ll very likely be better than yelan. But yelan is still a strong and safe choice for those wanting a hydro unit, shes a unit you cant go wrong by pulling, so its not a bad idea to pick her up, even with the upcoming archon. Or you could just pull both🗿

I guess those were all clickbaits. At least from release, yelan was never able to heal. Maybe its a constellaton?

I was on the Fench about pulling for her I’m f2p I won all my 50/50s prior including nahida & kazuha on single pulls & I only had 10,000 promos saved I decided to go for it & with around 50 pulls I got 2 yelan 2 Bennett & 3 Lynette , I’ve been blessed by the genshin gods

That's awesome! I only got the one pull for her losing my 50/50 to qiqi but got a c4 Bennet, c6 lynette, Kaveh, Barbara funny enough a xingqiu.

My problem with genshin impact creators is a pretty common one. None of them talk about the characters from the standpoint of someone who only plays on a touchscreen cell phone for this yelan is one of the strongest characters there is

I uhm. I got Diluc. He's great, but would have much preferred Dehya, maybe Tighnari, def Jean, maybe a c2 qiqi, or maybe even keqing. Hmmm. Little bit of a bummer but that's ok. Have to save now, though.

Learned that last night when I threw together a team (kazoo, xingqiu, and Bennett), their builds were bad (artifact sets that were not for them, but the artifacts themselves were pretty ok), and diluc maxed out at a 6k crit. But my xingqiu, somehow was hitting 10k when I activated his skill, and I didn't even bother setting him up right. Was funny.

I'd say to wish on her banner if you really like her, or if the 4 stars of the banner are useful to you. If not it might be best to just wait for the next banner

I don't know what calculations are you doing but she doesn't need anywhere close to 185% energy recharge. I've been running her with 145% and energy was rarely an issue ,even at C0.

well thats a surprise, I thought people would maybe say 185 is too low but you're saying that's too high😂 How are you getting away with 145, whats your build? Is she a main dps or spending a good amount of time on field?

@@jjjackal1110 I play her mostly as a support and rarely as a carry with Xingqiu and Kazuha. As for energy, I make sure to stay 0,5s longer on her to catch her hydro particles and any energy orbs from HP breakpoints. It isn't just Yelan or your video, I see numbers like these from most content creators for most characters. I have her at 139,5% ER at the moment since I have no ER on goblet or circlet. I think you would need that much ER only if you actively avoid picking particles with her. Just stay on her to get particles and another hydro since she wants the resonance anyways. 150% should be enough. And if you play her with Xingqiu make sure his second skill funnels particles to Yelan.

For me, I discovered something in myself which I didn't know it existed. I pulled for Yelan just because of her armpits. Dang it, I wanna be headlocked by her!
