Hi I'm checking if you have a video showing how to fix a button for closing the trunk if it's has stopped working. My problem started when the wiper motor was leaking and the button was wet and water dripping. Now that button is on but not shutting the trunk
You just said it , the water may go into the button, and you will need to take it a part and clean any corrosion in it or in the connector . Check the fuses also . Let me know if you need more help. Thanks and good luck 👍
The first thing is the trunk closed like locked in all way, no wiggle. (2)Check if the connecter plugged in the latch . (3) If it's connected and light still on, then it would be that a little switch inside the latch is bad. That way, you will need to replace the latch assembly
Is it inside this latch that the electronic mechanism sits that opens the trunk when I press my key "trunk button" or press the trunk-button above the license plate? Mine is faulty and only opens sometimes so I need to fix or change the mechanism.
Yes and you will need to replace the latch because mechanism made of cheap plastic and it's common problems on those cars also the latch is so cheap and easy to replace it yourself let me know if you need any more info thanks for watching 👀
