If you see a frayed bow-sting not all is lost. Well... hopefully you got a change that your bowstring is still 100% Functional. There are 3 different things that happen to lead us to think there is a frayed bowstring.

I ran in this too with my first flemisch bowstring and thought it's not usable anymore because I was used to endless loop bowstrings. Thanks for the Info :) Greetz from overseas. PS. I use your fingertab and dont want to use any other anymore. You fell the string so much better and no matter if you are shooting on 30 or 40lbs :) Definitly recommendable ;)

It's funny, I just started a few months ago and, had the fraying due to some arm slapping. I've corrected my form no prob but, the fray was looking a bit rough. So, I bought a string from you! Red and Black beauty of one by the way. Even though, all the old string needed was a bit of wax, I put yours on and, WOW, it's definitely quieter and feels smoother on release. Also, shot my best groupings today as well. I'll credit you partially for that! Keep up the great work!

One day a piece of string walks into his local corner shop to purchase some breath mints. The shopkeeper looks down on him and asks "you wouldn't happen to be a piece of string now would you son?". "Why yes sir I am indeed" replied the piece of string. The shopkeeper furrows his brow and points a fat finger towards the sign by the door "no pieces of string allowed". The piece of string acknowledges his mistake and walks outside a little taken back by the whole ordeal. As he glances at his reflection in the grubby shop window he begins to mess up his hair a little before proudly striding back into the shop and slamming his breath mints on the counter. The shopkeeper looks down at him puzzled "aren't you the piece of string that was just in here boy?". "No sir" replied the piece of string. "I'm a frayed knot".

Power hour ahead! Three questions: 1, if you trim your tag ends, and they keep showing up. How far/ long can I keep trimming before the string just snaps? 2, I've been having a problem with sharp nocks on my ragim impala deluxe bow. In my first week of shooting it when it was brand new, it cut trough both the serving and the string. My local bowyer told me that's becouse my bow was made from a fabric, and they don't want to pay mutch for production and just keep the bow as cheap as posible. How do you see if your nock is properly smooth so you don't demage your string loops? 3: how can you tell if your string nocks are capeble of handeling fast flight? I can't find any information on the company witch makes the bow. (Ragim impala deluxe antilope) Thx for making great video's Kramer, stay safe out there

@@kramerammonsarchery So a modern laminated Wood bow could handle FF? Also thanks reacting! I like this power hour stuff. At my local archery club in the Netherlands in the town of Deventer there's a lot of people talking about you and your channal. There's also some people who took your 100 arrows a Day for 30 days challenge and actualy saw progress! Here's a easy to make video Idea I would like to see. You telling how you got into archery. Those are actualy the most interesting story's to ask a fellow archer if you ask me. There's one guy in my club who told me he got into archery by getting shot in the head as a kid, daimmmmm!

Your mentioning of your bow 'blowing up' if your bowstring snaps implies to me that the bow would actually break. If that is the case, what causes it? Is this also the reason that you are not supposed to 'dry' shoot a bow without an arrow and if so, is it the same physics that makes it happen?
