Choke the carburetor to prevent back-pressure. If you don't see a mist of fuel blow from the exhaust, pull the rope a little at a time with the air going until you do. Just consider that the mist can be brief, and the stroke cycle is short. Once you've pulled half a rope length, with air, it's time to get back to sawing.
