I was devasted when Snivy was put on "Looks Around" the sheer sass, elegance, and fierceness it exudes is undeniable and even is much more evident in the anime. And as Snivy evolves, she takes all her amazing qualities and improves all of them with a sweet and spicy flavour.
Roselia is automatic mother if you see her sassy walk animation in the Stadium/Coliseum games. That "Girl I know you just didn't" walk she does is everything.
Arboliva was robbed. That's a mother who provides for her family. She's working 2 jobs to get her kids fed and out the door for school every morning before she heads out to work.
She's an uggo. It's one of the most uncreative designs I've ever seen. "lets make an olive pokemon that is just a tree with some olives on it." I would maybe hate it less if the preevolutions weren't so adorable. They dumped an aesthetic that was working for no reason.
I dunno Arboliva just gives me mother going through the motions. She had the kids because that’s what expected of her but she never wanted them but she’ll provide nonetheless. She doesn’t own that mother-essence and her kids will probably resent her.
I can understand where you are all coming from because I represent the male version of that if there ever was such a thing. I just think that Arboliva feels invisible at times because she is thought of so negatively in comparison to her younger counterpart Dolliv. I mean just look at the way the anime destroyed her legacy with such a chaotic reveal. They showed even more respect when they introduced her Slow and Bulky Special Attacking Sister in Hatterene. Needless to say I was bitterly disappointed at that time. I feel as though I am betraying Arboliva by even thinking about running Eviolite Dolliv competitively instead. Thankfully I talked my way out of it and still want to think of a way to make Arboliva viable again.
Beyleef in skip hurts my soul. She was mother in the anime. She was carrying the girly pop representation on Ash’s Johto team. And she always served whenever she was on screen.
I always liked Bayleef much more than Meganium. The bitten leaf, the collar, she's serving! Tbf, she looked much better in the 2D realm, although she was cute as hell in Colosseum.
Leavanny is literally a mother since it’s the nurturing Pokémon and I’m pretty sure it makes clothes for other pokemon, which is why I love it so much since it’s so memorable in that aspect and absolutely deserves the spot it’s in. It deserves a mega too

Our gay wedding, this weekend, all of my bridesmaids served girlypop, the matron of honor was mother. We eagerly watch your video first thing on America's birthday to the sheer disrespect of my gay son Flapple. It's out here flapping for its life, fighting gravity. It gives a high concept, with how apples are credited to the discovery of gravity! It's giving twink brother in a dragon line. I hope this comment comes of as loving and passionate and not aggressive. I love you and Flapple and I hope this at least starts a conversation of Flapples legacy.

I personally would argue that Shroomish is girlypop because it looks grumpy. There is a certain flavor of girlypop, I feel, where the grumpiness gives personality and flavor. When something is small, cute, and grumpy, that is absolutely girlypop. Just think of toads- so many toads are girlypop.
Plus all the lasses in Hoenn use them. That makes them girlypop as well. I think the use of them in the game needs to be considered. Iconic trainers like lasses or beauties using them will boost their girlypop appeal.
i love making grass teams, there is so much diversity in aesthetics. my japanese zen team is cherrim-sunshine, shiny bonsly, sinistcha, kartana, sawsbuck-spring, and torterra with a well manicured bonsai. my girls don’t battle, we just sit in the garden and have tea 🍵

We're girlypops so we're open to more flashy and out there aesthetics and themes. We're also Pokémon players, which means we're open to change and a heightened concept. And that's why Amoonguss is Mother.
I think Decidueye is an interesting case because like a lot of the other girls in the Okay tier it can be a really great accessory on a very hyper femme princess vibe team as the "outlaw turned loyal guardian" vibe, kinda like an Inigo Montoya. But Hisuian Decidueye is a little too "lone wolf samurai" to be girlypop. The autumn aesthetic saves it from being a skip though

It's quite crazy how the water type and grass type girlypop girls can't reach an agreement when both types have to do with similar concepts; outdoors, nature, softer color palettes etc. Toedscool and Tentacool giving us a moment of unity and harmony was sooo unexpected yet so motherly like oh my gosh, she made the unthinkable happen even if it was for 5 seconds

Plus talking about anime representation, Ash's Bayleef paved the way for strong girlypop leads. Sunkern and Sunflora look absolutely out of place in okay. They are absolutely girlypop. Wormadam is absolutely mother, she is serving dress. She gives a concept and and serves. Paving her way into mother. Speaking of giving a concept, Cherrim has such a unique and girlpop gimic and serves girlypop in multiple ways. A sunny form Cherrim would pair perfectly with with more elaganza girlypop girls like Lilligant. She serves cottagecore cheery girlypop. while non sunny Cherrim would be percect for a spooky girlpop team. She serves dark and mysterious. Snivy is MOTHER. Just think of Ash's in the anime.
Putting Tropius in Skiiip almost feels treasonous. They are the definition of luxurious late 2010s runway model tropical island photoshoot with palm trees, soft breezes, relaxing shade and soft vibrant tropical fruit. Tropius IS the summer getaway. Tropius IS the island that the Kardashians bought or rented during Covid to avoid the consequences of being hyper-social and too rich to be scared or stuck in their big houses alone (with their maids). Tropius is divine luxury.

Not everyone being pressed about the bayleaf placement… like guys cmawwwn think about it like yes he did serve in the anime! But bayleaf is more for the little snotty nosed boys who like “cool” looking Pokémon, something about the angularity of its design, the sharp eyes and darker tone of green the leafs adopt bring more of that “cool” factor, sorta like grovyl. Nothing about that is girly pop to me and whilst yes bayleaf did serve in the anime, was it in a girly pop typa way? I don’t think so
