Hey! How long is your hair? If it's the same length as mine in the pictures I showed then it should work! These are styles I wore then. Your hair needs to be in small twists first. X

she stated several times that these styles allowed her to retain length to get to where she is now. She used to do them when her hair was shorter (she inserted photos) but unfortunately, she didn't have any photos of the styles when her hair was short so she was demonstrating on her now, longer, hair.

My issue with my awkward hair is that it has many different in the front, middle and back So my twists come out at different lengths and any updo I attempt just looks awkward ...sigh

@@thefantasticnerd6076 I had my hair cut in a tapered cut after my last comment 3 years ago. I have been growing it out since the pandemic. So it's at the short-medium length...still a bit awkward length lol. I mostly wear it in a puff. I have never had my hair grow past my collar bone length but I'm hoping to finally get past that with weekly deep conditioning and frequent moisturizing and oiling my ends using Wild Growth Hair oil

Hey Asha! I've been wearing my hair in flat twists and pinning them down so that I can wig it up lol....but videos like this and your "Recycle old 4C parts" which I just watched and your "Watch Me Twist My Long 4c natural hair" which I'm going to watch after this :D , make me just want to do free twists all the time! The only reason I don't do 2-strand twists that much anymore is because I tend to want to redo them every few days lol and I'm trying to keep my hands out of my hair when it's in a protective style. Great styles, I'm definitely in the medium awkward stage, I've sort of tried style no.2 when I had mini twists, I just didn't tuck them into one another and the twists really do make cornrowing a lot easier. I can't wait to try no.1 and 3, buns are my absolute favorite so style #3 is a must, thanks for sharing : )

I will be pushing the subscribe button I am new on this Journey 7 months post relaxer I started off stretching my relaxer 3-4 months at a time until I desired to go natural my hair was relaxed passed shoulder length I have always took care of my hair so I have the basics but trying to learn much as I can I love twist-outs but my flat twists outs are descent but I want to prefect it!!

Naturally High Yes, low density and thin strands. It's shoulder length. I've been natural most of my life. My hair breaks easily.

They were the same size but 'rough' in that the were loose and not plaited at the root.

These styles are all very pretty but doesn’t type 4 hair have to be stretched first in order to achieve them? I have thick 4b/4C hair and I can’t do anything with it except wear it in an Afro if I don’t blow dry it first to stretch it. Your hair is beautiful and you take very good care of it from the videos I’ve seen. But could you make a video that shows what you do to your hair immediately following a blow dry session when you are not flat ironing? What products do you use to blow dry and what products after blow drying? And how do you keep your hair in a stretched state, say in twists or braids and for how long before shampooing again? This info would be so helpful. Thanks!

Thanks for your comment. I never let my hair dry loose so it's always somewhat stretched when I style it. If it was twisted, I would've still stretched the twists in plaits. I hardly ever blow dry it. Thanks for the recommendation. I blow dry my hair around 3 times per year (I don't like to use too much heat) so I can't promise such a video so soon. That said, I'd like to recommend stretching in plaits. I tend to plait or twist my hair at night and wrap it in a satin scarf. Hope this helps!

Hello, I have a question: I keep hearing single strand knots are the sign of hair that is starting to split. Is this true? And if so, does regularly cutting ssk out does that mean we should be able to maintain the rest of the hair without split ends?

Hey! I wouldn't say so. To my knowledge, ssks come about when our coily hair springs up and around itself. If I were you, I'd take steps to prevent them rather than cutting them out all the time. I used to notice them a lot when I styled my hair wet and left it loose. Keeping your ends stretched should minimise them - I have a video on this technique!

Hair loss? Shedding or breakage? Remember that individual hairs are at different growth stages so all your hairs will never be the same length. When you take breakage into account, which compounds this difference in length, it's only natural for hair to appear less voluminous as it gets longer. If it's severe it may be time for a trim!

Hey! Thanks for the suggestion. This is an idea I've been flirting with for a while but to be honest, making weekly videos in English alongside my masters is time-consuming in itself. I can't imagine doing weekly videos in both English and Spanish at this stage. Sit tight! Maybe I'll start after I graduate! X
