Growing up in a crowded environment I never really sang louder than a song playing at the time. My voice was abysmal but I've practised at it all my life. 1 year after moving out I've come a long way just from the ability to practise, finding comfort in my head voice I decided to check this out to keep developing and it is really helping. I know this video is from a year ago, but you're a massive help honestly. Thankyou!
This video is amazing! Only been doing these exercises a few days and my head voice is already so much stronger and no longer a weak airy falsetto. Thank you Victoria! xx
Man my dream role is Jane Doe frolm Ride the Cyclone and I'm so far from reaching her range, but I'm just going to keep practicing until i can find auditions and perfect it :3
I'm 21 years old, just recently discovered I'm a Bass 2 singer as I just recently joined a choir and it's the role assigned to me. I've always been singing in my chest voice for most of my life, I only discovered head voice singing when I was 18 years old so it would only makes sense why I think I (and truly) don't sound good singing in head voice,. It's very interesting to note that my other Bass 2 buddies sing very comfortably and beautifully in their head voice. I guess they were more vocally aware and informed than me or/and they must have a good singing environment in their home, whereas I had no one to teach me anything when I was younger hence not knowing I can also sing in my head voice (anyone can). Here's to hoping I will improve my head voice starting from this date; August 3, 2023. I will try to remember this moment and come back here after a few years to give updates on my Head Voice Improvement journey [This is what I also did with my Learning Vibrato journey :) ]
Im thank teacher Victoria bc of you i improve a lot my vocLs getting strong and i finally found and comfortable of my natural voice now and know how to sing healthily ❤

Maam vic..full support from philippines..thanks for your free voice lesson..i just wanna ask for how long do i have to practice this exercise 10 minutes or longer ?
It sounds like you need to work on your mixed voice (chest mix and head mix). PLAYLIST on Mixed Voice: ru-vid.com/group/PLaWjWxiTysDCCsBgnhWjfRRAWIPflxZp1
hi : )...i look at the first few mins of your first video...improvement instantly....i lack confidence...if you ever have time i would love you to tell me what i most need to work on....thank you...(most recent 7 songs are the ones im trying to to work on....)
I met you doing karaoke in Walnut Creek quite some time ago and you had such good energy. I would like to know if you would work with someone who has parkinson’s which is degenerative and progressive no matter how many days I train. I have been losing vocal control and strength steadily but I would like to maintain some of my vocal strength working with you. Thank you!
Hi, Kathleen! Thank you for your note. I have a pretty long waitlist for private lessons. If you are interested, please send me a note through my website. Perhaps you can join my audio training program and participate in my group classes.
Do you have anything on strengthening chest voice or mastering low notes? I am a woman with rich, deeper voice. One of my favorite female singers with a low voice was Toni Braxton.
Please reply me. I was suffering from my weak head voice. I can sing before. And I have correct pitch. Please could you tell me how much time will these exercises take to have a strong head voice. How much time should I separate to practice these.
Just the video and techniques I needed *today* . I've been having difficulty connecting with my true voice lately, been going through some adversity. Just have to ask, are you making a call that 'falsetto' and reinforced falsetto' are part of true head voice? ... I'm not sure I sit with that afa female voice is concerned (males, too I guess) ...
There is breathy falsetto (vocal cords not closing) and reinforced falsetto (a fuller sound with efficient vocal cord closure) which, yes, are in head voice.
A strong head voice will help you thin out your chest voice (chest mix) and give you a stronger head mix. So my answer is yes. See my PLAYLIST on Mixed Voice: ru-vid.com/group/PLaWjWxiTysDCCsBgnhWjfRRAWIPflxZp1
I choose the EE vowel in this video. We need to work all of our vowels. See my PLAYLIST on vowels! Vowels in Singing - Clear, Aligned & Beautiful ru-vid.com/group/PLaWjWxiTysDADhRVZJvoZI0QJzbsWShRg
In answer to your question, each program covers 2 1/2 octaves in range. If singers are not sure of their voice type, I recommend ordering alto/mezzo-soprano for women and bass/baritone for men, especially for beginners. That is for lower to medium voice types, so unless you consider your voice to be high, this should work. If not, you have 30 days to switch to the higher voice category.
Your body should be your best guide. Record yourself and pay attention to how you feel and sound. Beginners should start in middle voice. See my playlist for Beginning Singers.
These exercises put my voice on front of my face mask, and it sounds like Montserrat Caballé. But when i want to reach my head voice in a more pop style, I have to place my voice somehow in the back. Does it make sense?
I’d have to see and hear you to tell, but here are the main differences between pop and classical. CLASSICAL VS. POP SINGING - OWN YOUR STYLE & know the difference! How to Improve Tone in Singing! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Yh9HR8kr1Jk.html
I would love to purchase your exercise program. I am an adult returning to singing and do not know which program to pick. How do I know if I am a soprano, etc.?

Miss Victoria, i love ur videos but a part of my head voice is gone due to bad singing technique. I stopped singing but will that part of my head voice come back or is it permanently gone? I'm resting for 2,5 months now but the part of my head voice is still gone, it cuts out! So like when doing a siren from lowest chest to highest head voice, a part of my head voice just stops producting sound/it cuts out. Help does it ever come back or is it permanently gone? Help!
I feel like I have 2 head voices.. When I sing classical soprano, it sounds more hooty and feels light, but then my voice breaks at E5. I can sing extremely high if I make my resonance more nasal but can’t keep the light weight past E5. Why is this?
It’s normal to have different sounds in different styles like classical vs pop, depending on how you are producing the tone. I cannot answer the rest of your question without seeing and hearing you.
So the sensitive voice box n ache after singing in just head voice for the first few times caused by not having a strong muscle there? 🤔I mean i am used to sing in my chest usually so recently that i started to work on my head voice to strengthen up it feels sore n hurts n it has kinda a fry sound now!
Singing should never hurt. Without seeing or hearing you, I am assuming that you may be singing with a lot of throat tension. See my playlist on Throat Tension.
Focus on your middle voice where you are comfortable first. It sounds like you are not ready to work on extending into upper range. I talk about extending range little by little in a lot of my videos.
