It depends what you mean by “special grade” Is Ryomen Sukuna a special grade Jujutsu Sorcerer? BTW the Kenjaku statement is irrelevant to this conversation. Kenjaku is saying a special grade should be able to overthrow a nation. He is NOT saying its a REQUIREMENT to be a special grade. Maki actually explains the requirements for each grade in JJK0. A special grade Sorcerer is literally just someone who meets 2 criteria: 1) having the ability to comfortably defeat any special grade cursed spirit (this is the requirement for each grade). 2) getting the title placed upon you by the Jujutsu higher ups. These are the only 2 confirmed requirements. This is why sukuna, kenjaku, kashimo, ryu, & Hikari are not special grade even though they all scale at or above other special grade sorcerers. They are not students or working for jujutsu society and therefore cant gain the official title. So once again, is Sukuna special grade? No. Sukuna is not a special grade sorcerer. Even though he is the most powerful sorcerer of all time. Are yuji, sukuna, kashimo, kenjaku, hikari, ryu, etc. special grade LEVEL? Yes obviously. Also if any of you disagree with my kenjaku point about his description being irrelevant, remember that yuta who had no control over rikka, no CE control or abilities, and no knowledge of jujutsu whatsoever or even curses or spirits… was granted the title to special grade. He could not solo a nation because he had no abilities and no control over rikka. BUT if we use the actual description we are given by maki, he fits it because if a special grade attacked him, rikka would comfortably kill it.

The ability of Yuji to be able to Spam Shrine will determine if he is Special Grade.

Yuji without a doubt is special grade. He is insanely durable on top of the fact that that he has one of the best RCT in the series due to having blood manipulation. No one has taken more hits from Sukuna than Yuji and he is still standing fine and dandy. Yuji can also target the soul which pretty ignores durability and he can do it to such a degree that he can actively choose which part of the soul to target ( the barrier within megumi and sukunas soul). Yuji has one of the best simple domains being able to withstand sukunas domain for a good amount of time. Even compared to Gojos that got deleted within a few secs.

He’s been a special grade sorcerer since his punches have become unblockable in my opinion, Shrine, His punches, His ridiculously high Durability Yuji can WALK DOWN an entire nation.

Yuji to me is still a solid top 10, nothing has really changed He has blood manip that he uses solely to supplement his RCT and he has shown basically nothing with Shrine. To me he's still kind of just a guy who hits real hard and can take a punch real good. For me, Yuji now has everything he *needs* to be Special Grade or top tier or whatever, its just a matter of him mastering those abilities and increasing his output, which given we're at the end of the series seems unlikely

On paper that boy is a definitive special grade -Shrine CT -Blood manipulation CT -Really good RCT thanks to BM -simple domain -impromptu binding vows -amazing CE control -amazing physical stats -DOMAIN EXPANSION -and the red arms can’t forget those

Give Yuji convergence(piercing blood) or a ranged dismantle, and he’s special grade. Also he can still use dismantle against regular people whenever he wants. Breaking a binding vow with yourself only makes you lose what you gained

Before I watch the video I say the reason why Yuji is special grade is because he's stronger than Geto who is the gate keeper of special grade. And from a soloing country standpoint, Yuji essentially has that aspect as well. Poison immunity Domain expansion & Simple domain Durability ignoring strikes Poison via his poisonous blood that can't be utilized since Sukuna is immune to poison too Cleave and Dismantle though unmastered RCT And finally the best reason, Yuji's body is legit already superhuman without cursed energy to where he can reliably take down sorcerers. Cursed Energy essentially made him a living tank and unit. Man has natural crazy durability, endurance, and speed. Cursed energy alone would make bullets do minimal to no damage to Yuji. Of course everything Yuji has is unrefined so that's why I would say he is in the weaker tier of special grade. But if Geto is the bar and he has no domain, no rct, no black flash mentions, and primarily only like that via his cursed spirit army. Then Yuji has it because he has all the tools to be special grade and could solo Geto's cursed spirit army. Also doesn't help this Mahito who I definitely believe is actually up there with some of the special grades in the culing game would get absolutely dogged by current Yuji. Edit: Technically speaking by the way Megumi is special grade via ten shadows and his domain expansion since he can make an army of shadows. And he made a pact to solo a nation with Mahoraga, the nation is fucking cooked. But he was never registered as one. And Yuki is essentially Yuji fully realized physically and he has that capability already. But using your logic as well, star rage could solo the nation for her. But I am gonna give a hottake, I say RYU is special grade. That man is the only one who's domain expansion curse technique burnout does not affect his output and he doesn't get tired at all.

For me it’s always been the means. Everyone who is special grade has the toolkit to take on a nation, whereas Yuji is more of a 1v1 demon.

The Sukuna section was so funny. It really goes without saying. At this point, this man can obviously a squad of people who can each solo a nation. (Gojo can too, but it’s more apparent with Sukuna since he’s running the gauntlet right now).

Now that I think about it how fast is yuji because depending on that fact might mean that yuji kills the army before the first bullet is fired. He might literally be so fast that by running people explode by impact and the fact that he can obliterate building with his strength thats not talking his durability against sukuna. Yuji is pretty much currently the hulk his stats have gotten so high that only a nuke or missiles might catch him off guard. But not all nations have those and unlike normal rct he has blood meaning to kill him you'd have to destroy his brain anything else he could heal.

Special grade is a weird rank because it’s “capless” special grades are always better than grade one but just because you’re special grade you can still be weaker than other special grades. Yugi with multiple CTs, top tier physical stats, is not only capable of touching sukuna but actually slapping him around. All of these things scream better than grade 1, could the other special grades still be stronger ? More knowledge? Ect? For sure but to not put Yugi above grade 1 it seems like hating. Like he has his own variation of shrine potentially the most gassed CT in the series outside of unlimited.

Yuji is just an anti-Sukuna fighter, reminds me of Kurapika from HxH and how he is only incredibly powerful when fighting Spiders.
