Yo! Here at That Guy With A Pencil I discuss whatever I can draw, so we cover a lot! Anime, manga, movies, games, we talk about it all! Stick around for awhile, we'll have some fun!
There really should be a ranking for these kind of characters that can box evenly with Special Grade Sorcerers but can’t solo a nation, as I can’t for the life of me say these characters are just Grade 1 with their showings. Hell they even talk about Kusakabe as being the Strongest Grade 1 and Yuji, Maki, Hakari, Kashimo, Uro, arguably Todo, all clear him with ease.
I can debate and give you scientific proof that none of Special grade sorcerers can solo a country(with Nukes) Yes Nuke can kill Gojo, Gojo's Limitless only blocks attack on atomic level and Nuke radiation is subatomic, Gojo will die from radiation poisoning (a very horrible death)
If we go by Kenny's qualification, then Dhruv Lakdwala is a definite Special Grade Sorcerer, no just a threat. Because it was stated that he conquered the entire Japan Archipelago. THAT is a Nation Conquering feat. You may argue, that Japan is not as big as USA or conquering ancient nation does not equal modern military. To that i say, that Kenny never specified how big nation should be or era he's talking about. Moreover, conquering a nation with potentially more people atuned to CE and more likely to know about sorcery to me sounds more inpressive than just taking out soldiers with rifles with no idea what they are up against. Mechamaru lowkey than has the potential to be SG sorcerer. If Mahito's IT did not strip him of his HR, and why would it, when it's probably something more like work around or circumvention, than he would be able to produce hundreds of robots and pilote them across the entire nation. And know, saying that he will run out of CE is the same for everyone except Sukuna or Gojo. If Yaga can be classified as SG just because he can make hubdreds of Pandas, then so can Mechamaru. In fact, i'm pretty sure Yaga was never said to have massive amounts of CE, while Mechamaru can store that bad boy for his robots. Tldr; Mechamaru and Dhruv qualify as SG sorcerers.
Holy fucking shit, it's insane how the whole "going north" thing with the train station, was actually representative of Yuji going north, changing who he is.
Enraged Royalty!! This definitely was a top 10 chapter probably one of the best in the series, sukuna big fish, yuji rare fish, gojo special fish, kashimo nameless fish
To be pity'd by the prince and then threatened now. You didn't notice but Yuji offers a binding vow this time. This time Sukuna says no. And ironically Sukuna's binding vow saved Yuji. But his refusal has sealed Sukuna's fate. Its also ironic Sukuna wants leave it all behind. Like a dark buddha but since unlike Toji he can't. And Yuji won't leave it all behind. Toji and Maki has no ce While Yuji and Sukuna has ce The ENRAGED ROYALTY will now fall.
Enraged Royalty! Yuji really came around. I mean, from the first interaction with Sukuna, the king of curses, who caused most of the deaths and destruction that Yuji so much despised and feared. Yuji now has the hability to fight Sukuna, and for what he said he actually thinks he can win. Yuji that so desperately said to Sukuna after the Shibuya incident to disappear, now is the only one that can actually accomplish it. Not Gojo, not Yuta, not anyone else but the boy who was afraid, the boy who pucked at the sight of destruction and death. The boy who is blessed by the sparks of black, the man who has eaten is brothers to accomplish his goals, the man who has learned blood manipulation and RCT. The monster who crushes curses and makes them fear him. The monster that has learned Malevolent Shrine. With blood manipulation, Malevolente Shrine, RCT, a body that is unbreakable, a spirit unshaken. The king of curses has now passed his crown to Yuji Itadori.
After this chapter i'm pretty sold that Yuji is just gonna one shot Sukuna. Any time someone shows buddha parallels in this manga the person they're fighting dies offscreen. 😠👑
@RACH90810 yuji body was designed to be a vessel for sukuna, I don't think memories aren't included in that or how else would sukuna know how much disdain he's had for yuji
The one thing that could ever get Sukuna this mad is being shown compassion/pity. The mere idea that Yuji, the brat he refuses to acknowledge, believes himself to be in a position to offer Sukuna mercy would be one of the few things that would genuinely make him livid. Yuji giving Sukuna a chance after everything, not because of some talk no jutsu, “everyone can change” bs but only because Yuji himself KNOWS he can win at this point, is so peak.
That last panel was the concept of enraged royalty to a T. Sukuna has never been this mad, not only because he's going to be judged and sent off by someone so far beneath him; but because that same person has the gall to not only empathize with him, but even pity him. I absolutely adored this chapter for a lot of reasons. First off, the stuff I already said, but additionally, because this was ostensibly a "talk no jutsu" attempt that ultimately failed, and Yuji never actually believed it *would* work. He just saw this as something he had to do, to provide some mutual understanding of each other, and to extend that final olive branch to Sukuna. The main character, who's long been behind or barely relative to the best people on his team, actually gave an ultimatum to the strongest, the actual peak of the verse. He really said, to SUKUNA, that he can either give back Megumi, one of countless lives he's stolen, or die by Yuji's own hand. This chapter was some of the best character writing in the series as a whole. This chapter will go down in the books as one of the top chapters in the whole series; hell, even of any newer gen shonen out there. I think, even before TCB translations, that this chapter easily belongs up there next to the best of the best: Yuji vs Choso, when he establishes his "role to serve" mentality; the chapter where he walked down Mahito, finally understanding that role he gave himself and accepting his enemys nature as well as his own; and his fight with Hakari, where he expounds upon and describes his "cog" mentality to another person. Here we see the cog himself casting off that role, that mentality, for the supremely human realization that nobody has a set purpose, and that your life is very literally what you make of it. 10/10 chapter, absolute peak
Finally it's confirmed Gojo and Nobara are dead, it was already obvious to people with higher than room temp iq but the annoying ass copers needed to be shit up
I think the point for Yuji going through to his backstory was an attempt by Yuji to try and make Sukuna empathize with the beauty of life. Hpwever, at the end of the day, Sukuna is just a merciless psychopath. He has no empathy and thats why Yuji pities him. I think that the Buddha statue when Sukuna asks "are you pitying me" is a reference to Yuji's handsign which is the Buddha that helps others reach enlightenment, which in this case the enlightenment" is the enjoying of life.
Your translation are very wrong 12:31 Sukuna suddenly realises something Sukuna: brat… could it be that you… Sukuna: are you pitying me…? Sukuna: are you trying to show me sympathy? (We see a statue of Buddha as Sukuna asks that to Yuji) 13:13 “THAT’S RIGHT SUKUNA. I HAVE THE ABILITY TO KILL YOU. RELEASE FUSHIGURO, IF YOU COME BACK TO ME, I’LL SPARE YOUR LIFE” 13:26 “It seems like you’re having a severe misunderstanding. I won’t settle for just slicing you into pieces, brat. I’LL KILL EVERYONE RIGHT INFRONT OF YOUR EYES THAT YOU CARE ABOUT AND HOLD VALUE!!”
@@Weeb_Tv4 it is pretty close. The author wanted to end it before the end of the year, it’s confirmed to be in its final arc, and my hero ended today. So it’s fair for him to think we might not get it especially since this fight seems to be spelling the end for sukuna.
What useful info could we get from a Sukuna/Heian era flashback? A compilation of Sukuna cutting up sorcerers trying to kill him? Uraume cooking the corpses of children for Sukuna? Kenny teaching Sukuna how to turn into a cursed object?
I’ve seen theories saying Yuji is so calm because he’s near enlightenment. There’s a bhudda statue below Yuji’s panel when he sits on the rock&he even pity’s Sukuna for not being able to feel that humanity&isolating himself. Yuji knows Sukuna won’t change so the only thing left is to finish what he started&send Sukuna to the afterlife.
Now I get what Kenjaku meant about Yuji, Sukuna and how as long as they are both here, the cycle of curses would never end, they are diametrically opposed, as much as Yuji tried this chapter, they will never see eye to eye.
This is how you write a villain... no sympathy, no feelings, no connection by how Human live. This is how you enforce a force of nature, Muzan was great but he felt something in his past life and why he became the way he was.
i can guess a couple of reasons 1. saiyans are physically better equipped to handle it 2. unlike humans after the damage is done a saiyan will get a zenkai boost while a human will be in long agonizing pain that will take months-years to heal from 3. goku only survived using kaioken so strenuously because plot needed him to 😂
It’s strange kenjaku isn’t in the picture with sukuna and mahito especially since there’s a third spot there. Feels like he didn’t really have any effect on yuji at all. I mean they only interacted once. Somewhat disappointing seeing he’s responsible for Mahito and sukuna getting where they are.
@@skidzzthewiz9226 all characters shown there were dead. This could mean both that Sukuna is going to die and that we might get Kenjaku comeback with the merger.
@@PriSenpai yeah but that’s the thing what’s dead mean? Does it mean people yuji thinks are dead? That would mean kenjaku is included. Does it mean people gege says are dead? Then why is sukuna there next to Mahito? As we know at this moment he’s still alive as yuji says he can kill him. So either way it goes it can’t just be people that are dead as sukuna’s the odd one out. And if you think it’s saying sukuna will die then that seems like a stretch to include him because he will eventually die from this. I think it’s more so yuji barley knows kenjaku. Correct me if I’m wrong but they only interacted in shibuya. I don’t think yuji is really ever brought him up. He’s more of a yuta/gojo villain than a sukuna one. As yuta and gojo’s attachment to geto. Maybe he comes back but I don’t know if this panel has anything to do with it. As yuji should believe at this moment that he’s deceased.
Yuji does know Kenjaku is his mother since he had the flashback way back in the Naoya and Yuta fight. But as he admitted here he views his grandpa is more of a parent to him than his own biological parents and knows everything is set up by Kenjaku. He just never personally connected with Kenjaku like the others to care that deeply I guess.
I love how Yuji came full circle with his philosophy. The despair and cruelty of curses and the attitude of sorcerers made him think of himself (and by extension others) as cogs. Tools, to fulfill some role. Now the love from his friends, his brothers, and his family made him see beyond it. He sees the value of simply existing. Life doesn't require a purpose. People aren't tools (and by extension he isn't) Each life and the memories it creates, has purpose. He learned to live instead of looking to die properly. The philosophy born from self hatred was cured by the love provided to him by others. He learned to love himself.
I think Yuji's growth makes sense up to this point and has gotten to the level he has. He's still not top tier because a lot of moments he got a victory it was due to circumstances that kept him alive long enough to get stronger. He's definitely unique to everyone else since he's somewhat manufactured...
