Stunning Lady,,,superb performance,,,the world needs more families like this. Took my breath away. I played "Alborada del gracioso" when I was young but "Scarbo" is in another league. Well done.
Brava . Argerich and Pogorelich better watch out there's a new Scarbomaitresse in town and in our recital halls . Oh I hope she gives a recital or plays a concerto in Miami ! ! I spent 2 semesters on Ondine and Scarbo . Every page is a hurdle either in texture , pedaling , sound color and most of all the line electric , sizzling always forward can't ever slacken .Those fist fulls of double notes and chords have to have levels as well as the bejewelled melody . Never was able to take Scarbo anywhere but did pass my juries with my Ondine and Prokofiev 3rd Sonata .
this young lady is so much before her time..such knowledge and percise note,s and just so awsome..can't wait to buy her music..never brought classical before, but now I'am very much
Awesome performance of a difficult work. You have a great technical command and your touch is subtle and sensitive. I would like to hear you play Chopin's Concerto in F minor and the Grieg A minor Concerto. You will do well with them. Congratulations on the finals.
Always a thrill to hear a young artist in Scarbo . Wonderful reading here. Spent a semester with Ondine is their somewhere online we can hear all of Gaspard ? You really get the Spanish rhythms well and the pedaling & atmosphere in middle very well handled .
Hello Isata, The Scarbo to be truthful I really don't understand so much. Don't understand the Rhythms at all. The Chords are weird; mind u the one thing I really appreciate is the fact that the Video Work is absolutely superb in the sense that it gives me a chance to see your face in full glow. All other Piano Photos of you only capture the side of your face so I cant see your facial outline properly. I am Happy for you! -Pitman Browne
I know you wrote this with the best of intentions, but: you are only talking about her appearance while what it is about is that she is giving a stunning performance of a masterful piece by Ravel... She is beautiful - but this is IMHO an appreciation for the wrong thing in the wrong context, and therefore even a bit belittling.
More in general: women in music have throughout history been too often appreciated for their appearance and looks, instead of their creative output - we should not continue that trend.
