I have a isdt70 sitting in my parts bin. After watching several videos about it I never installed it in anything. I put a cc copperhead 10 with a HOH puller pro in my trx4 and a sidewinder 4 With a goolrc 3300kv in my traction hobby cragsman c. My redcat Everest 10 is still running stock everything. Thank you for the videos. Thank you for being willing to show us what works, and what doesn’t work. When the time comes my redcat will probably get a 1080 in it.

I've got 3 of these, and haven't had any issues with them. I agree, they can be a little glitchy setting them up, but mine, one in a Trx4, one in an FTX Mauler (RGT Rock Hammer) and one in a Carisma Sca1e Coyote, all with the same HH Crawlmaster Sport 13t motor, and they run really well on the terrain we use them on. 🤷🏻‍♂️

The ISDT 70 esc for the price and the little bit of time to the it set up to me “ for can’t get anything any better. I have two of them! Just that one thing the neutral position lol error code. But it’s a one minute fix… just calibrate the throttle ‘. I really like the Down hill control on it .. and the low speed start up too !

I've had 2 of these ESCs now and they are a huge upgrade to stock electronics in my Sport and Capra. No issues they just worked out of the box. Sucks it seems they can't get consistent QA or they released early and first units had issues.

Move the battery tray in front of the transmission, helps the weight bias so much. There are screw holes there, not sure if that's what it's for but it works.

I really like the ISDT but you're right, its tricky to get setup. In the end it does work better than the 1080 so its worth messing with . Try dropping the PWM, I think raising it has a negative effect on the active drag.

Big fan of the Crawlmaster motors. I'm biased to the 8T, the extra wheel speed is nice.

That issue. With the drag break . Leave it where it is and try the breaking curve. . You can always ays go back to straight line. Just a thought

Glad you got your hands on this ESC and put in your views on this. I've recently swapped from a HW1080 to an ISDT. IMO, isdt sucks with drag brake. For a crawler ESC I feel ISDT sucks. Will wait to see if they can update the software. If not then I'm gonna stick to good Öl Hobbywing 1080. Tha KS again for your vid 👍.

The first time I drove down a Steep Rocky Trail that had always been basically a Kamikaze Run with the ISDT 70 I broke out Laughing. It was Sooo Controllable! I now have 4 of them, several replacing 1080s. Play with the Brake Curve and back off from 20mHz a bit. The CrawlMaster 550 10t / ISDT 70 combination is Fantastic. If they don't want to bind to BlueTooth unplug the receiver for a minute. BTW, I've had 2 brand new 1080s Pop the Magic Smoke in the last 6 months and they only replaced One after several months so ..... this new batch ain't what they used to be. HobbyKing calls them 'Crawlers' now instead of 1080s.

I have this esc and tuned it hh 13t crawl master sport 10.2 the drag brake holds almost as good as the hw axe system I've had people try and push me and if the tires have grip the rig don't move! I'm also at I think 10 for pwm and 8 drag brake plus I've made a bunch of start up songs as well for it

Yea I don’t know about that esc but with drag break working properly it’s a night and day difference. I’d be interested to see how it does brushless. Great video pal. 👊🏼

I love the ISDT 70 but it makes the motor stutter intermittently when the truck comes to a stop. I turned off active drag brake per Reddit comments and it seemed to help...kind of.

You guys that have had trouble with the isdt escs have you updated the firmware? Some of the early versions weren't to great. Their latest updates seem to be pretty great. I love mine. For the money you can't beat them.

There are a lot of comments on the isdt 70 ESC not working well for people. I have three of them and they all have been great, I am just wondering are people running them with the Bluetooth module connected? I always disconnect mine after I am done making changes to the settings, I'm wondering if that could be causing some issues for people.

After watching several different RU-vid channels on this ISDT- ESC 70 I purchased six of them because I have five cars to build. I put one truck together and have been trying to of the ESC70 to program. I’ve been trying to get the radio to do the remote throttle calibration test and it will do the idle and the forward just fine but when it comes to the reverse part the indicator is jumping back-and-forth all over the place so it wrong that save the settings. Do you have any idea what I can try to get these to work properly?

I just installed this isdt on the same Rock buggy crawler from Injora. I'm not impressed with the drag brake. Gonna try messing with the brake curve and see what happens. Still feel HW1080 is a safer bet than this one.

I found that the isdt works better with a 3 slot motor. Holds a lot harder on steep descents

my isdt bluetooth stopped working contacted isdt and there sending me a new switch but i give up a have brought a 1080 which i should have done first but in all honesty the isdt has mega potential just not yet early days

@@ExocagedRC had same problems with drag brake works well with 14t pinion and 45turn motor but not at all with my surpass hobby 10t 550 using 17t pinion but that motor is so smooth

How did you get a 13T 550 Crawlmaster Sport? I've been waiting months for that motor(or the 15t) to again be 'IN stock'. I cannot justify spending $114.99 for the 12T 550 'PRO'. Mr.Holmes seems to be telling us on fixed incomes to go shove-it.

I most certainly am not out of stock by choice. Had amain buy us out and lead time for the next batch trippled. Next shipment should be in this week or early next, it's moving from Chicago to STL today

Hey bud, his products have nothing to do with your income. It takes TIME and LABOR and people using their hands to built those hand wound armatures, shim, balance, dip, tru the com, add sticker, package them up and out the door. Nobody owes anyone anything just because a fixed income. Quit being a victim and save your pennies like some of us do to buy one. IT'S WELL WORTH IT!!!

I have this ESC and absolutely HATE it. It is the most unreliable ESC I have ever used. When it does work it works great but If it doesn't work 90 % of the time then what is the point of having it to begin with its a PIECE OF JUNK!!!!!

It’s odd, when I update or change settings it takes a while to reboot. But it usually does. Some of the settings just never work right but basic operation I like it. I have 2 of these.

I have three of them and I have yet to have a problem with any of them. the only issue I ran into at the beginning was that it wouldn't run a Traxxas titan 550 motor, but it runs all of my 540 crawler Motors very well

@@LuisChavez-lf1gf I really like the 90a u just got to mess w/ the drag brake settings a bit around 10 worked for me to not get that motor stutter
